DVD - RW for Satellite 2800-500: IDE1 error, disk not recognized

Installation of a slim drive DVD - RW NEC ND6500 caused a message "Error IDE1" at startup and the drive was not recognized.
The DVD-RW Toshiba SD - R6472 drive is not compatible with my Satellite 2800-500?
Does anyone know a way to make someone of them work?

Hello

The problem is that all CD/DVD drives cannot work spirit all models of laptops. The problem is that there is no way to change to master or slave. AFAIK there is no public document that shows the discs and laptop computer compatibility.

The best solution is to check if the drive is CSEL. In this case, it should work properly. If you can check please if you can find the CSEL notation on the label located on the upper side of driver s.

Good bye

  • Hinges of satellite 2800 500

OK, here's an obscure. I've owned my Satellite 2800 500 for about 4 years and I am very happy with it. Recently however, the hinges of the screen becomes very stiff to the point where they have now cracked their mounts aluminum just below the screen (inside the case). The laptop is now at about 15,000 items (especially the screws) to access the two hinges and know what is happening.

I think they just erased (term technique.!) and took a couple of rings and lightly oiled inside to try to release them again. However, I tend very much hope that this will prove to be a long-term solution, so I'd like to find spare parts.

Can anyone recommend some kind of provider to get two replacement hinge mechanisms please? They are manufactured by a company called the hundreds, but they just returned me to the Toshiba support. I am looking for tracks with third-party suppliers of parts, but there seems to be so many parts different hinge that it would be a huge stroke of luck to find a laptop broken 2800 for them to save.

Any help would be most appreciated - thank you!

    Mike

    Hello Mike,.

Normally, these hinges can be ordered only by a Service partner because it is a replacement repair part!
You can try to contact a Service partner and ask if they can sell you these hinges!

I recently bought a new camera from Sony a7 - ii.  the first time I tried to import raw images taken with it (with a. Suffix ARW) the program says "Preview not available for this file" and then "files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom" I have the most updated version, I think as 5.7.  What should I do to get these files imported as raw files?

    Hi Bobsirkus,

The camera you have is compatible with the latest version of Lightroom, which is Lightroom 6/CC.

Please see the list of the camera supported by Lightroom: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

You can use the DNG Converter, converts images and then import them into DNG in Lightroom.

    Hello

Pleas be careful with a new CD/DVD drive. All devices may not operate correctly with each laptop model. In my opinion, you should contact the Service of your country partner and ask them because they have this kind of information.

    Hi Michael,

I've changed the original CDRW in my A30 - 141 (a TEAC DW224E) for a carpet * a UJ825S with no problems at all. I just need to exchange the plastic parts of the old drive.

I don't think that the UJ825 is still available now, but future versions should do just fine.

I burned a DVD on the carpet a lot * one without any problems, so I'm very happy with it.

Try Googling for a suitable device, I found a range of price, when I searched for mine.

  • Need drivers for Satellite 2800 600

    Help, please!

    I am the owner of a Satellite 2800 600
Recently, I formatted the hard drive and installed a new copy of Windows 2000 Pro (SP4). I have trouble finding drivers for the graphics and sound. I have already spent hours online searching for them without success.

I would be very grateful to anyone who could either send me a web address where I can download the drivers or I could you post for me a copy of the recovery & driver CD that comes with the Satellite 2800 600 (I gladly postage costs and even give you a thank you reward.)

    See you soon... Charlie

Have you checked Toshiba download under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com page > support & downloads? The drivers should be included here. Of course for the supported operating systems.

  • What is an update of RAM max for Satellite 2800-400?

64 MB, is built in (?). I found in the specifications max 192 MB, but I think that it s not up to date. Can I use RAM of 256 MB or 512 MB module?

    Please see this page:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=7170&ft=m&St=3

Satellite 2800-400 comes with 64 MB or 128 MB internal memory.
If you have a laptop with 64 MB, you can improve the memory only to a maximum of 192 MB.
The Sat 2800-400 with 128 MB internal memory can be improved up to max 256 MB!

In both cases the 144-Pin PC100 SODIMM 128 MB module is greater, which could be inserted!

  • Satellite U405 - S2833 Fingerprint error: could not open the sensor

Hello, I am very new to the forums so I apologize in advance if I don't give all the necessary accurate information in this thread.

I have a Toshiba U405-S2833 and it came with the TrueSuite Access Fingerprint Software.

I downloaded an update a few days ago, but I don't remember if it's for Vista or Toshiba. Since then, my fingerprints were all removed from the system, and when I try re - save, I get this error message "error: could not open the sensor" I can't find the material to fix the sensor manually without going through the TrueSuite software.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

I am also having the same problem.

My boss uses a Satellite U405-2628 fingerprinting and with the sensor TrueSuite Access Manager. It worked fine, then I updated windows and it has stopped working. I was on the updates and noticed an update of TrueSuite and thought that maybe that was messed up things.

Then there were other issues that went past me locked out of the machine (anti-virus and loss of relationship with the field... also my fault). So I decided to wipe the machine and install fresh Vista.

I installed everything but the TrueSuite software still not able to open the sensor. After hitting my head on it, I decided enough was enough and I restored it using Toshiba recovery disks.

It took a few hours and here I am logged in as administrator and the TrueSuite software still cannot open the sensor. I don't know what I can do, since it is to return to the factory settings.

As the above poster said, HELP!

    Thank you.

    ... a little later...

Well, I managed to do work, and this can be useful for some people out there since I found no easy answers. I can't guarantee anything, and it's really complicated... so here go us.

First, I downloaded the latest update from Toshiba (util_fingerprint_27460A.exe) and nothing has worked.
Then I uninstalled the sensor since (click right, uninstalled) Device Manager to uninstall the driver as well (it should invite you to do so)
Then, still in the Device Manager, I scanned for new hardware and it came with my sensor. I said to look for drivers and when he could not find, I think it gave me an option for windows search for an answer... or something like that. He came back with a link to Authentec (www.authentec.com/win7update/w7wbf32.exe, I think). So I downloaded that and installed. He rose through the device under "Biometric devices" then before... I think it's under the "Personall security device" or something like that. But alas, still no luck. So I uninstalled all the device from the Device Manager (taking care of uninstalling the driver as well) and of the TrueSuite software. Then came the break I was looking for.

Online research I came across this page... http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?action=download&driverid=1194755. I had the chance before to DriverGuide.com so I thought what the heck. It is a driver of HP for the same sensor and it is dated 2006. So I downloaded and installed. Still nothing...

Disgusted, I thought, well let's try to install util_fingerprint_27460A.exe on top of that. So I did, restarted and I couldn't believe my eyes when he said to connect and register fingerprints not seriously. And so I did. I hope this helps people, I don't really know how the sensor I so messed up, but I'm glad it worked.

Yet one thing... and this may be important. When I took TrueSuite first after doing all this, he told me that the storage of fingerprints was full... or something in that sense. So I clicked the button remove all traces of fingers button and it I would like to register my fingerprints. I'm starting to wonder if that was all I had to do in the first place... Guess I'll never know.

    Good luck.

  • For Satellite A70-S259 wireless connection does not work

I started my laptop that worked just great for a long time and all of a sudden my wireless network card is not recognized. I have an Atheros Super G 802.11 wireless network adapter internal, to say my computer doesn't have a driver for! I check support.toshiba.com and re-installed all the drivers on the Wi - Fi or LAN. EVEN IF my internet connection works when I have an ethernet cable plugged into the laptop, I reinstalled both local network drivers.

What is going on? How can I fix it? Anyone? In addition, I don't know if it will let know me when you have posted a reply, but my email is [email protected]. You can answer here as well, but please make the subject, "Toshiba", so I'm deleting it by mistake.

    Thank you

    Frustrated user

So when you install the wireless LAN driver, it gives you an error Code?

Have you installed the Wifi drivers other Toshiba? Perhaps another driver is in conflict.

If the Wifi Toshiba driver does not install, there could be a registry problem or there is a problem in the WINDOWS\INF folder. You can try to move the INFs containing "OEM" in a temporary folder, then reinstall Wifi card.

If you have not reinstalled windows for a long time, maybe its time to back up your data and start again, starting from your recovery CD. Windows can become bloated and corrupt over time. Personally, I reinstall Windows once a year.

  • CD/dvd opens and closes and towers cd/DVD but unable to read the disc and is not recognized by pc

No icon in my computer and the drivers does not work

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE
