DVI tv connects to the computer laptop hdmi.

Hey guys,.

I need help because my TV display my laptop.  My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv4 Entertainment PC 64-bit and has a hdmi port (no vga or dvi port).  It is partitioned into Windows 7 (which is my primary OS) and Windows Vista 64-bit (what can I say, retro gaming).  My TV actually by JVC and a dvi port (but no hdmi or vga port).  I also have a hdmi cable to dvi to connect my two devices.

I tried everything imaginable:

I've updated my display drivers.

I made sure that my TV was on the plug-in software component Digitial parameter (tried all other inputs too and those who does not either).

I tried all the settings in the "Display" section in the Contral Panel.

I tried all the settings in my 'Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel '.

My Fn + F4 options also don't make my TV display my laptop.

I even had my motherboard replaced this year (for a problem of differnet of course).

I tried every resolution of the screen to find one that is compatiable with my TV.

I changed the order in which I turn on my two devices, including when I plug my cable to my laptop.

However, I discover that my Windows Update does not update my windows for some reason any (the update was for a problem with Internet Explorer 9, so it's unrelated)

But here's the strange thing: my TV can display my laptop when Windows starts up.  My TV will show the start screen where I decide what OS I want (I usually choose Windows 7) and it will display the Windows loading screen after that.  But then it becomes empty when screen dsiplays users.  The only thing I can think is that something is leading to the digital output of my laptop once windows loads.  I don't know what would make this, so if anyone has any ideas I could really use the help.

Hello

When you connect a new monitor or TV to Windows 7, it should ask you what you want to do with it in a group called "New display detected." It is an opportunity to adjust the settings as you please and turn on mirroring. If you want to adjust these settings later, you just need to go to the start menu and select Control Panel. When the load control panel, click display. On the left side, you will see a few options. Click "Edit settings." From there, you will be able to make changes as needed.
