DW1501 support of the Windows 8 Half-Mini Card WLAN Wireless-N

Hello!

I recently upgraded my Dell Inspiron N5010 Windows 7 to Windows 8. Everything works fine except there is a problem with my network card. Since the upgrade, I noticed that my internet has slowed down a lot and I'm unable to play the online games like EVE Online because I seem to disconnect from the internet for a fraction of second causing sign out me of my game.
I'm not the only user N5010 to notice this and so far it seems no fix or solution to this real. Apparently it is something to do with a driver that is installed by Windows 8 which should make network cards work but there is a bug for my type of network card (and others I think) but I'm not entirely sure what is the cause.
For this reason, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 that I find it disappointing that I love especially Windows 8. I hope there is a solution or a fix for this I don't want to have a copy of Windows 8 Pro that I can't use.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Don't worry I m here to help u buddy

Just install it

Then go to C:\dell\drivers\R258276\R258276

then the scroll, you will see a file called IS.exe then go to properties, compatibility, select windows 7 and apply

Then run this file it works

THANKS :)

I am able to install the drivers, and the card is listed in my device manager, but also network connections.

My question is that the card is DISABLED. I am not able to enable it.

I tried to uninstall my Antivirus AVG, I've disabled the firewall from Microsoft, I uninstalled the driver and removed the driver for my system.

When I rebooted the system, the card can be detected and I install the driver.

  • Problems connecting to half mini-map DW1520 wireless-n wlan

    I have problems with my wireless card, it's a DW1520 wireless-n wlan half-mini card in a desktop XPS 8300.

It started only yesterday, but the map is completely unplugged whenever it starts (4-5 times now) she also regularly (varies between every 10 minutes and every 30/40 minutes) abandons the connection all the way to the Red Cross and then will reconnect Finally, windows troubleshooting tool recommended never to restart the router, but this is not the problem as other devices maintain a connection while the computer does this.

Nobody knows how to solve this problem, as the abandonment of the connection becomes very annoying.

    Hey

Yeh I found the answer eventually, my problem has proved to be a really stupid thing to miss to be honest so maybe not the same for others.

But I did notice a new network being introduced in my 'space' (grrr * neighbors) and basically it slightly crossed with my wireless channel so I scanned the wireless networks to see what channels each used, found a nice empty space mine can fit in and then he moved to there and bam solved problem.

God knows what I will do if all the gaps are filled, night time sabotage other networks lol

  • Dell DW1506 (802.11 b/g/n) half mini-map WLAN

I bought a Dell Inspiron 660 s today and the order confirmation scored points ' Dell DW1506 (802.11 b/g/n) half mini-map WLAN. "  I have a Speedstream 4300 modem connected to my existing computer and wonder if it is possible to connect the modem and the DW1506 or if the DW1506 would replace the modem.  I apologize if this isn't the most intelligent question, but I've never had an experience with a WLAN.  Thanks for any help!

    Hi SquarePeg61,

The modem Speedstream 4300 does not support Wi - Fi. you need a wireless router to connect wireless computers.

As the system has a wireless card installed DW1506 mid-height mini-map WLAN installed in it, please get a wireless router to an electronics nearby at a cost-effective price store to connect the wireless system.

Good answer for any other help.

  • Bypass the Windows on HP Mini password

I like so many others, I forgot my password of Windows (Windows 7 Starter Edition) on my HP Mini 110.

Is it possible to bypass the Windows password so that I can reset IN Windows?

I tried to boot from a drive (formatted FAT) flash via the system BIOS, but it does not save the flash disk (I had Hirens Boot CD agenda on this subject).  The USB port works fine.  Must the Flash be formatted differently?

Is there another way to bypass the Windows password?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mr. Bog

Don't worry guru s... my companion sortted out!

I downloaded Hirens Boot CD ISO program on the FlashDrive again, but this time on an NTFS formatted drive and not a FAT formatted the flash drive.

Once flash player has been recognized, I used the option rather than start Windows XP program boot BACK and then follow the steps.

    SORTED now.

  • format not supported in the windows Security Center

I have posted a question before and was told in spirtx?  I have cyberdefender under my protection from virus-everything.  I'm getting an error code cyberdefender is on, but he reports in a format that is no longer supported.  The other day, cyberdefender came out with their new version, but the error remains.  I have windows vista home 32.  What should I do, is - it safe select her don't you worry, I'll watch it myself to get rid of the error code?  CyberDefender says that my computer is protected 100%.  I read this message seems to be common.  I was the wmi and it is consistent.  I have all the updates, including sp2 on my computer since I use the automatic update.  I really think that it is a problem of microsoft.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you very much.  The problem started about 2 weeks, until then, no error message, and I had the program since 7/09

Why post on a Forum of OneCare to Cyberdefender problems?  OneCare has nothing to do with the support of Cyberdefender, and OneCare would actually be a competitive request if it was still sold.

  • I can't get the XP computer recognize the Windows 7 network file share more wireless

Problem file/network sharing wireless with a professional system XP and Windows 7

I have 2 computers - 1 with XP and Windows 7 pro upgrade and use a secure wireless network...  I have set up my network on the new computer and can see the files on my new XP computer, but I can't get the XP computer to recognize Windows 7 one.  What should I do?

    Hi Captive,

    Method 1:

I suggest you to check if temporarily uninstall the antivirus software on the computer Windows XP allows you to connect properly.

But don't forget to install the software after troubleshooting is done such that your computer will be at risk.

    Method 2:
You can also check the settings of firewall on the windows XP computer. You can check if the ports are opened correctly for the network to connect. See the help link - below
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/283673

    Method 3:
If the problem persists, you can even perform the clean boot on the Windows XP computer and check if you can identify the application that is causing problems in the clean boot state. To perform the clean boot follow step 1, mentioned in the article, below, and then try again checking in this state of boot -

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

If the issue is resolved check what non-Microsoft service or program is at the origin of the problem. referring to article and following the other steps.
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

    c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    I hope this helps.

  • Dell Wireless 1502 (802.11 b/g/n) half mini-map WLAN

Tried to remove this map on a new Dell Vostro 260 (there where he didn't need) and put it in a Dell Optiplex 360 with Windows 7 x 64.  When you try to install the driver the setup.exe gives the message: "Setup cannot run on this platform."  I tried to check I select the Win7 x 64 option to download but still no luck.  The file info is Driver Atheros 26/05/2011 - Version 9.1.0.328, A01.

Maybe is this not compatible with older hardware Core 2 Duo card and require an i3 + chip?

Even if your original post is a year old... I had the same problem. I downloaded the x 64 driver package 9.1.0.328, A01 win7 and it failed with the same problem. (The strange thing is that I have an another Inspiron 620 running win7 x 64 and the driver installed, a native of Dell, is the 9.1.0.328 version?) So, I tried the other available win7 x 64 package, 9.2.0.517, A02. Yet once, didn't with the same "the installer cannot run on this platform." I decided to try and manually install the driver instead of using the installation program. Pass - Manager Control Panel/hardware and sound / control unit and made a right click on this card in 'network adapters' click on "update driver software," go in the appropriate directory on the C: which was created from the extraction of the package, and then click 'ok '.  I could get my dell 1502 works this way. I deleted the complete directory which was created from package 9.1.0.328. I found myself with worm 9.2.0.517... only because it was the second package that I've extracted. I assumed that 9.1.0.328 would have probably worked this way too much.

    Hello

the file (format FLAC) is in my SD card in my sport Clip. When I want to hear it, I get the message "Unsupported File Format". All the other files on my SD card works fine.

I put the file in my PC and I listen to it. Normal

I transfer the file to the internal memory of my sport clip. It works well

I transfer the file to the SD card in my Clip Sprt in another directory. I get the message "Unsupported File Format".

Strange, isn't it? This file only work in the internal memory, SD card. Anyone has any idea why and what can I do?

I use an SD. 128 GB SDXC card, in the format extFAT

    Laurent

    A few questions:

Your Sport Clip recognizes the main directory on your micro SD card files (music, Audio books, Podcasts, etc.)?

Your Sport Clip recognize and play files mp3 that you have copied to your micro SD card?

If this isn't the case, maybe try to re-formatting in FAT32? Then insert the card while the player is turned off, then turn on the player.

  • half-mini wireless-n DW1520 card will not work on the only G N

I recently updated my internet connection to 30 MBPS to 15 with the Charter.  I ran a speed test with my Dell desktop computer with the Ethernet cable directly plugged into the modem and got a speed of decent connection, but when I use my router and Wireless - N DW1520 Half - Mini Card on this computer, the connection speed drop nearly in half!  It seems that the card will work in Wireless-G and not the faster Wireless-N.  Why is it and, if possible, how can I change this setting?  Thanks for your time.

    Hello

Don't forget to convert Mbits in megabytes.

    Check this box:

    WiFi vs actual throughput speeds
    http://www.wifihowto.NET/WiFi-speeds-vs-real-world-throughput

You must use N g would not work anywhere near as fast you see.

    G = 54 Mbps or 6.8 MB and real world 3.4 MB

N = 300 Mbit turbofan 150 Mbps single stream or 37.5/18.7 MB and real world 18.5/9.3 MB.

Interference, the distance and other environmental conditions may further reduce the speed WiFi.

Thus, it seems that your WiFi becomes very good passage of double-flow N.

    I hope this helps.

  • Error code 80070424 during the application update the window and installing the Apple Application Support

    Hi guys,.

I am running Windows Vista Premium Home 64 bit. This all started when update me my iTune recently and since then it has been a headache after another. Basically, when I try to install iTune, it says that I need to install Apple Application Support first, and when I do that, I get the following message appears:

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion of Augustine, but the problem is still present. The order went through, but I always feel error 80070424 and is possibly due to a malfunction of Windows Installer Module.

If no password is used, click on continue.
Click the arrow next to Services and Applications
Click Services in the left frame
Scroll down the list of Services in the context of e right until you come of Windows Modules Installer .
If it is present, check under Startup Type to see if it has been disabled.
    The default setting is manual.
At the top left will be a link to start the service
Click on it and see if the service can be started.

If the installer of Modules of Windows is disabled, right click on it and choose Properties .
Set the startup type to Manual , click on apply, OK.
    Close the computer management console.

If the Windows Modules Installer is not present and of Flavius are too difficult for you to follow, then replace
