  Is that the Toshiba PC diagnostic tool is part of the Toshiba value added package and who knows what you have done.

  1. download the ISO of UBCD

  2 burn the ISO with imgburn

  3. Insert the CD that you created in the faulty computer and restart

  4. upon restart, press and hold F12 and boot from the ODD/CD-DVD

  To burn the client software diagnosis on a flash drive, follow this guide.

  If you get any errors, you will need to contact lenovo for the service.

I downloaded the files but you prefer to use an ISO. The link ftp for ISO in the guide no longer works so I was wondering if anyone know where I could get the ISO standard. Thanks for any help.

  Eventually, I discovered that my problem was a hard to die.  The reason why the disc was get tied up was that he had problems being written (or read eventually).  When the disc is eventually died and I replaced it, my problems have disappeared.  I'm slowly (or not so slowly) replacing all my seagate drives with either Hitachi or Toshiba drives.  I have two computers, two external drives and a disc of 8 NAS.  I had 4 Seagate drives die on me.  So far, Hitachi and Toshiba players don't have me.

  I know that Seagate has bought the Htachi training business.  I just hope that Seagate does not have to rush through the superior technology of Hitachi.

  Laptop is the famous brick of overheating creatively titled DV6416CA.

  I had to format the new hard drive after the original hard drive fried. (HP says too bad with that in short).

  It now sports a WD3200BVET which is sata 5400 320gigs. I had installed Windows 7 during about 6 months now.

  It was great. Life was good. I was happy. My daughter, wife and mother-in-law all used to watch movies online.

  Then they got a virus that has rendered useless map of wireless network and in the end, I was told by 2 different specialists to give up and reinstall. So I said OK. I'll reinstall with the same dvd that I used last time. But it was not to be.

  Somehow, I can read the diag cd I have but when I insert a dvd of Vista (a real one) it will not read it. He tries, but giving up at the end I tried the DVD (the original one) and also one dvd of Windows 7 on 2 other workstation without problem.

  Therefore, I can not install the OS from scratch on this laptop using the DVD player.

  Yes, they are log files that have been rotated off the active one.

  You can remove the log_nn.xml files, since these are the old logs - assuming that you don't need them for verification or diagnosis of connectivity issues. The log.xml is the only asset and should be left alone.
