dxgkrnl.sys and atikmdag.sys BSOD

Well, a few months ago, that my pc started having BSOD, first I thought that it was a power supply problem, because I had a generic power supply, I was wrong

Then began to study some more and found out it was my video card

Running BlueScreenView told me that atikmdag.sys and dxgkrnl.sys cause a disorder
is not the first time that I see those, on every single bsod I have is the same atikmdag.sys or simply, I reinstalled drivers AMD a lot with no satisfactory results

Here are the last 3 dump files

today ' today/yesterday

Hello

The last DMP file attached is the verification of bug THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER_M (100000EA) .

This indicates that a thread in a device driver that runs constantly.

We can see that the AMD/ATI video driver runs constantly, recovery Timeout detection is called to try to recover the display driver. He cannot, then he goes ahead and check bug.

1. AODDriver2.sys is listed and loaded into your list of modules is AMD Overdrive; also in EasyTune6 for motherboard Gigabyte. Known issues in Win7 BSOD and 8.

Please uninstall two software ASAP! If you do not find a software to uninstall, or is not installed, please navigate to the following path:

C:\Program Files ATI Technologies ATI. ACE\Fuel\amd64\AODDriver2.sys and rename AODDriver2.sys AODDriver.2old and then restart.

2. make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest graphics card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the last to make sure this isn't a last number one driver. If you have already experienced with the driver of the card later and earlier versions, please try the driver beta for your card.

3 if the above fails, your video card is defective.

original title: BSOD and freezes, several errors reported, puzzled.

    Hello

I've been struggling with trying to understand an intermittent problem for the last 3 weeks.  The problem has been around for one more month, but it seems to happen more and more often can't find the source.  I wish I could attach the dump files memory here, but don't see any option for this.  So here it goes...

Have had this computer for 2-3 years and have not changed the material at all and only the drivers updated.

CPU: Intel Core i7 CPU * address email is removed from the privacy *.

    Motherboard: ACPI x 64

    PowerSource: Power TX 750W.

    2 Hardrives: WDC - WD6401AALS-00L3B2 ATA

    6 GB OF RAM

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260

I have wiped the two HD, reinstalled Vista.  I've updated the Vista completely.  I've updated the following drivers to their latest: graphics card, motherboard, map its (motherboard), LAN (motherboard).

The computer crashes more often that the BSOD appears.  When it freezes, the sound plays all that was the last one on again and again and nothing does.  No data memory is dumped to the crash.  I checked with another computer that is on the network to see if she could still access shared files and that he could not.  It has frozen or gave the BSOD when just doing electronic-mail/surf net or playing dungeons and Online (DDO dragons).

Challenges in a relationship with install/updates: SP2 would not install through normal updating, so a download and install manually.  DDO requires NET framework 1.1 to run.  Had to integrate the installation so that it can install.  Do not remember having to do in the past.  The point of freezing/BSOD is always the same before and after I did the complete wipe.

    Made the following stress tests:

    Don't use memtest 86 + (2.11 and version 4.10) x no errors, 8 longer past track.

Used Furmark 1.8.2 V max stress test, ran all night without crashing.

Used Video Card Stability Test (Group in stone), no problem.

Used Seagate Diagnostics on HD, long and short no trials, no failure.

    Reported on BSOD errors:

Ntoskrnl.exe could not start: missing/corrupted core

    dxgkrnl.sys

    driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL nvlddmkm.sys

More information on these if necessary.

I get about 5 freezes with no info to each BSOD with info.  Very hard to debug with any info.

I've had freezes/BSOD occur minutes after the computer starts and the hours.  Have the box to open with an external fan blowing into the case.  Don't think overheating is the problem.  No overclocking ever carried out on the system.

I'm relearning all debugging stuff, did not have to do this in a long time any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

If you do not remove ANY power and reconnect the cables (at both ends, memory and cards)
When possible) - in fact, remove and replace - do not just tight.

As you re-installed Vista twice the question must be something that works with a low level
as the BIOS, chipset of low level drivers or hardware.

You can validate files minidumps on the SkyDrive or other file sharing sites so that they can be
downloaded, and we will have a look. But to be honest they will reveal probably material
    or worth nothing useful, so.

Use SkyDrive download collected files and after shot/screenshot.

    Hello

I can't find exact laptop specifications and don t know what version of Win7 you have with your machine, but I can't imagine that you have such problems after the original recovery image installation.
Original recovery image contains drivers tested for your machine.

Sorry, but I must ask you once more: you may have noticed this problem even if you have installed the original recovery image that you got with your machine?

  • Win32k.sys BSOD Intermittent problem

I got a problem for several months with my computer all of a sudden stop and will the BSOD. The problem seems to occur when something on the InterNet, such as; From IE8/Google Chrome, access to a new tab, using the link that begins the new tab, change the pages and even beginner Email (Outlook Express). My system, in its current form, has run flawlessly since 2009. The complaint of BS is still the same: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, then that indicates a problem with win32k.sys. This question IS NOT preceded by a power interruption. I have a genuine XP installation with Service Pack 2 CD (because it is upgraded to SP3).

I tried to find the fault using MemTest 86 (boot from CD when you run the test) and my RAM memory test. No defects found in 10 run tests.
I had once an indication that there may be a flaw in Z: drive.  Drive Z: is a physically separated, HD 20 GB which stores much of the things of the InterNet as cookies, graphics, etc., and all files downloaded from the InterNet are stored on this drive (to avoid infecting my system drive). I ran CHECKDISK tool with Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors checked options and Auto-Fix file system errors. Connected the CHKDSK boot by following the instructions. No problems found.
I also use CCleaner v4.09 to remove most of the detritus left by the InterNet (especially on drive Z :) and also check the register of questions.
I have also four Minidump.DMP zipped files (using 7-Zip [file .7z]), but do not have the installation on this page to send the files damaged by arches. I file before, but not SkyNet or whatever is the sharing of files also mentioned elsewhere.

Worked well but had to respond to survey questions to continue.

It was final but related to memory.  I doubt it's the memory itself, so I'd start by Driver Verifier.

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Please run these tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.

1-Memtest. (You can read about running memtest here)

2-Driver Verifier (for full instructions, see our wiki here)

If you encounter problems or get stuck at any point, feel free to ask questions

If you are unable to Windows because it crashes too early, try safe mode.

If you can't mode without fail, try to use the system from the installation DVD restore to bring the system back to the previous point of restoration that you created.

  • T410 nvlddmkm.sys BSOD on startup

    Hi all

I had my T410 since the end of last month and had a BSOD on startup several times so far. Whenever I caught, I noticed that the driver nvlddmkm.sys nvidia was the cause. Each time the BSOD, I get the prompt "windows did not start successfully", how by selecting "Start windows normally" translates the fine start System. Since this BSOD is only presented to a cold start, I'm not too hampered by it outside my boot up times by doubling the time it does. I ran the update of the bios/driver Thinkvantage, as well as I'm running with the latest updates for Win7 Pro x 64.

Everyone knows this? If so, have you found a solution? No matter what Lenovo personal support out there have an entry?

    Thank you

  • Black screen due to dxgkrnl.sys problem

    Hello

Please excuse my English because I'm not a native speaker.

Currently I am facing a problem when you play.

Since 26. I'm the black screens... sometimes, not always.

If I find the dump on incident file I get 3 files that may be responsible for the accident

    dxgkrnl.sys

    dxgmms1.sys

    nvlddmkm.sys

First I thought that it would be a problem with the graphics drivers.

Whenever I get a black screen fans of my cards soon on 100% rund.

I reinstalled without success nvidia display drivers. (All first deleted all of the drivers and do a new installation).

My system is not overclocked, GPU and CPU temperatures are in a good range (around 50 C Max and max 60 c gpu CPU)

I am now trying to install an older version of the nvidia display drivers, if it helps, I'll let you know.

But maybe you have some advice for me what could help?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Windows 7 professional code error 0x0d1 netio.sys BSOD

My computer laptop thinkpad from lenovo for the last days shows the netio.sys BSOD error several times per day. I ran memory diagnostics and does not report any error. I used view bluescreen but can't figure out where exactly is the problem. Also, I installed all the updates of important windows as optional (it installed all except 2 - Broadcom Corporation - Bus USB and Ports controllers - ThinkPad Bluetooth 3.0 and ATI Technologies Inc. - Display - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 545v in case this is useful information). However the problem is still ongoing. I can't reset it as I have a working demo on 14/06/13 on this and I don't want to lose all the data so close to the end... Help, please! Thanks in advance

    Hello

For netio.sys errors updated network driver (NIC) and wireless (WiFi) drivers from the
Site of the manufacturer of system/motherboard if embedded and the sites of manufacturers of real devices if they are separated
devices. Check also for the update of the BIOS and the low level chipset drivers

It all started in a Sun and a nice day I turned my G62-b13ST and after some time it crashed and I googled and I saw that the driver Sweeper and downloading might be a solution I thought. After I've deleted and updated the driver, he arrived after and after and this situation atikmpag.sys and finally ended up here im desperate and hopeless.

I tried the solutions in the internet and ask you what to do?

    Hi DEVO61,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your laptop HP G62-b13ST and constant crashing. Try perform a reset. When you perform a hard reset note remove all USB devices and remove cards memory card reader location. Disconnect all non-essential devices. If that doesn't help try to turn on the computer, on which you begin to press F11 repeatedly until the menu opens. You can do a System Restore.

Here is a link to a Update for the BIOS. If this does not help, try tapping F10 key go to the diagnosis and then run the hard drive & memory test when a test fails, you will need to replace the part. Please also check if the device is more heating.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  • BSOD atikmpag.sys + dxgkrnl.sys + dxgmms1.sys

    Hello

I started to get this BSOD with these files listed as the culrpits every time at random times at the office or at the game. Computer completely freezes over, then BSOD, then the screen will turn black saying 'no signal '.

Guilty appears to be a hardware failure with the graphics card, but these other two errors have concerned me.

I did a clean reinstall of drivers for the card and tried the atikmpag.sy expansion patch listed on google but nothing works. Card temp is idling around 40 ° C, even as he always has and I haven't changed or modified the system, he has suddenly started happening.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    SV

You can have the card ATI and integrated graphics.  If this is the case without the ATI system driver will use the built in graphics.

The last driver that you should try, it is one of the computer as a machine they tweak sometimes their drivers to work with their equipment.  "If this does not work it is time to start testing material"

Try this free video stress test: http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/
    FurMark Setup:

-If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during installation
-In the run, select "Test of stability" and "Journal of the GPU temperature.
Click on 'Go' to start the test
-Run the test until the temperature of the GPU maxes - or until you start to have problems (whichever comes first)
    -Click on "Exit" to exit

It turns out that my card is defective.

The screenshots of the blue screen shows the details of the file iastor.sys.
This file iastor.sys belongs to the SATA controller driver.

Especially this kind of BSOD would appear if you must pass between the compatible mode (IDE) and AHCI in the BIOS.

It could also be that the HARD internal disk works badly or the HARD disk controller.

But I think you should start the basic principles which is the replacement of the HARD disk.
    The warranty is valid?
I recommend you contact a technician because in this case, the warranty would cover the repair costs in case of valid warranty.

  • Unable to start XP in safe mode, stuck at mup.sys; BSOD with installation disc

My computer is a computer laptop Asus eeePC 1000H with no material changes and default OS. I left the machine all night and came to see the machine with the error text:

"Reboot and select proper boot device."
"or Insert Boot Media in some boot device and press a key.

Restart in safe mode gave me the same error, except that I could see that the boot process failed at mup.sys.

Then I tried to repair my installation by using a Windows XP installation disc so I could use the Recovery Console, but I got a BSOD and error:

    STOP 0X0000007E (0XC0000005, 0XF75DE0BF, 0XF7A2A208, 0XF7A29F08)
    PCI.sys-address F75DE0BF base at F75D7000 Datestamp 3b7d855c

I have turned off unnecessary equipment in the BIOS and still have the same result. The next step here is to erase completely the machine and retemplate TI - something I'm eager to avoid.

I've been surfing on support forums all morning and I noticed that there is a spike in people with this problem. Is there a virus going around or was there a windows update last night? I use McAfee if it makes a difference.

From your description of the problem, it sounds like the hardware failure, no software (virus). First test the drive and RAM. Since you don't have a CD player with eeePCs, you need to use bootable USB based on keys of an external optical drive or troubleshooting tools. Or, if the computer is under warranty, contact Asus support.

If you can not do the test yourself and/or are uncomfortable opening your computer, take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad).
