    Flash Player and Windows Media Player are not interchangeable.

    Like many things on the web, the Flash Player local storage can be put to bad use. This does not necessarily mean the Flash Player without scruples or bad product - it's the sites Web/people who abuse of this (depending on your point of view).

    You can configure Flash Player to block local storage on your computer. This does not necessarily all the features of Flash Player - for example with my set of Flash Player to block local storage I can still see videos on YouTube.

    I'm having a nightmare getting my live account works with outlook 2002 on Virgin Media. I can receive mail (which was never a problem) and after constantly fiddling with settings, I removed all errors except one.

    "Task (email) - sending and receiving ' reported an error (0x800CCC78):"unable to send the message. " Please check the e-mail address in your account properties.  The server responded:? ' »

    The e-mail address is the same in Outlook and living as it was copy and pasted (I did not trust my typing after 20 attempts!).
    I tried to follow the stuff in the links and forums and I'm not going anywhere.

    Pleeeeeeeease help me.

  • I do not see the mails for all e-mail addresses that I use

    I use Thunderbird to manage all my email addresses, but due to some changes in the settings now I see only the emails for one of my email addresses (before all of them were displayed in the list). For the verification of the e-mail sent to another email address, I need to select in another list, but I would like to come back the way it was before, so immediately left there was list of e-mail addresses and on the right a - relevant emails for each of them. It seems to me that it should be changed somewhere in the point of the 'View' menu, but I can't find this option.

    Open "address book".
    Select the address book that contains the e-mail addresses, so that you can see them listed in the right pane of Contact.

    If you click on the "E-mail address" column heading, you can sort by e-mail address, so that all the email address are now listed one after the other.

    Left click on that to highlight the top
    'Shift' key and click the last one - everything else will be highlighted.
    Right-click on the highlighted email addresses and select 'delete '.

    Look in the tools (alt + T) the account settings menu and click on the name of the account. Note the outgoing (SMTP) server listed towards the bottom of the Panel. Make sure that it is for the account that you think it is. Change it if it's a mistake.

    Now go to the bottom of the list of accounts and locate the entry for the outgoing (SMTP) server here. When you click on it you will be presented with a list of SMTP server that Thunderbird knows (the same list that appears in the account under the name of account settings), select the appropriate SMTP server entry and click on modify.

    ensure that the settings are

    Server name: smtphm.sympatico.ca
    Port: 587 (or 25 if port 587 does not work)
    Connection security: SSL/TLS (if it does not STARTTLS)
    Authentication method: Normal password
