E-mail from Apple is sending unwanted attachments

My old brother in Australia email me to the United States every day to let me know he's OK. Yesterday and today these emails came through each with an attachment, it has not deliberately set. The first was a link to a page of icons of Apple applications. The second e-mail contained a link to an entire page on the BBC website. It uses a fairly new MacBook Pro. What can happen? Thank you.

Who is the email provider? Some free or almost free e-mail providers insert ads into the e-mail sent by their service

NetZero is one - they do it for cost options low - premium service is free of ads

  • Mail from Apple using incorrect email (typo)

    Hello

Apple Mail uses invalid (typo) email address Hotmail to send the same mail so correct was provided and is present in the settings.  The user's e-mail address is * [email protected], but when sending mail it tries to connect with the imap server using the * [email protected] (obvious typo).  I checked that the e-mail address is correct in the e-mail settings and address book.  I tried to delete the account and restart the phone and then add the account but this does not solve the problem.

Mail from this account can not be sent, but is received correctly.  Other mail on telephone accounts, send and receive a fine.  Phone is 6s with installed 9.3.4

    Any advice?

That has to do with the outgoing SMTP settings. If you can not change this setting, remove and add the account as "Other" type. You will need the following information:

    Incoming mail server

    • Account type: IMAP
    • Username: [email protected]
    • Host name of the server: imap - mail.outlook.com
    • Server port: 993
    • Authentication: password
    • SSL/TLS: Yes

    Outgoing e-mail server

    • User name: _______[email protected]
    • Host name of the server: smtp - mail.outlook.com
    • Server port: 587
    • Authentication: password
    • SSL/TLS: Yes

Go to each of the areas that you do not want to receive email from and click the button in the upper right corner. If you run the ad-blocking software, you may need to temporarily disable.

If you wish, you can instead click here and completely turn off notifications by e-mail.

Fortunately, you do not fall for it.

  • e-mail from a specific sender, arriving in this great text it makes the computer hang

Email is Outlook Express. ISP is telecom post office. mail from a sender is reflected in the letters on an inch of height when it uses the function 'reply' or 'forward '. Does not occur when someone sends a message. Does not occur when she sends to others. It takes a long time and causes error messages to appear.

See if she's using AVG as AV program If so, she must turn off electronic mail analysis. To make this work properly, AVG may have to be uninstalled and then perform a custom installation and remove from analysis when it is offered to e-mail messages.

If you use AVG, do the same thing.

  • Scam or e-mail from Apple?

I just got an email from apple, which appears as appstoreonline.co.uk, indicating that I bought an element, Minecraft Pocket Edition at a cost of £1.17 to a time where I was and not on my iPad. He invites me to click on a link to get a refund if I did not buy it.

Is this a scam similar to those on Windows, which, if you follow the link it will install some kind of virus or spy wear on my iPad.

Someone encountered this sort of thing on their iPad before, and what would be the best way to check if this was in fact sent by Apple?

    Thank you

    Peter

It's a scam. It is not Apple.

  • E-mail from Apple on Android

I just recently created two-step verification to my email from apple.  I have an Android phone that uses this same email.  When my Android asks you to log in to my email, I cannot put my password but don't get prompted for a verification code. I'm not sure what's going on here.

Is it possible to have the Apple two-step verification while using the Android phone?

You use the two-step verification oldest described here:

Frequently asked questions about the audit in two steps for Apple ID - Apple Support

Otherwise, you use the latest two-factor authentication described here:

  • Mail from Apple sending emails of my two accounts

That's what my title says. Whenever I have email from my yahoo account, it also sends it to my outlook. I had to disable my vision of the app that I could at least send emails correctly. Two emails are the same if this is important btw (eg. ( [email protected] and [email protected]). Is it possible to fix this? I don't really like having to open my outlook on my browser every time. The app is much cleaner and simpler.

Try mail/preferences/AccountType account information. Select an account, and then access the server of outgoing (SMTP) mail. In the menu drop-down select list server SMPT Edit. Then set up a server for each e-mail account that is associated with the e-mail address. Then go to each account and set this server as the Mail Server outgoing (SMTP). You can click on use only this server if you wish.

Mail/preferences/writing/sending messages - set to the selected mailbox account.

No, they never send e-mails like this. Never, they send emails requesting personal information. This has all the hallmarks of a scam. They all work the same way for you the Miller in to provide personal information to an unsecured source.

Remove enamel and about best practices, never send any personal information to anyone he solicit via email or other electronic source.

  • I received an e-mail from Apple ICloud on my account trying to access at very odd times of the night. Are these real emails from Apple?

I have received emails that my Apple ID was used to connect to ICloud on a Mac PC. He asks me to connect to «secure access now» These emails are actually Apple or is my account being hacked?

If the e-mail addresses you Dear customer or something similar, it's phishing attempts.

Apple has all your details and you will deal with your full name (not email, etc.)

  • I'm trying implement highlight/select all mails from a particular sender to remove

My Inbox needs serious editing. A lot of unwanted emails. I would like to delete e-mails in groups, but do not know how to select or highlight an entire group, which can then be removed.

You can click on any column heading to sort by that column. Clicking the same header again reverses the sort.
Then you use basic computer skills to select multiple items
Click the point 1. Up or down several elements and hold down the SHIFT key when you click on the point 2. This allows to select the elements 1 and 2 and everything in between.
Holding down the CTRL key and clicking on random element will select all clicked on element.
Select an item. Press Ctrl + a to select.
Hold down the CTRL key when you click on a selected item to deselect the item.

  • what I do to my backup when I remove the mail from apple

MacBook pro... Time machine... I change Apple mail to gmail mail.  I have to do something with my backup?

Do you mean that you don't pursue Gmail apps vice just adding the Gmail account in mac Mail?

If this is the case just review your Time Machine preferences > Options and ensure that the application is not excluded, or that it is included. How to check depends on how TM has been installed. The default value is included on your startup disk
