  • What process is used to move the personal files of AT & T Yahoo to Thunderbird

I help my cousin put in place his laptop Windows 8.1. She has records in AT & T Yahoo that contain files that she wished to migrate to Thunderbird. I would like to copy its files of Thunderbird, but cannot determine a process.
I moved her contacts without problem.

Thunderbird account setting database included only POP for ATT, but you can override that by clicking manual config.

In the link I provided are these settings
    IMAP imap.mail.att .net 993 smtp.mail.att .net 465 Yes

Allows you to set up the manual configuration.

  • Why my email is going to Hot Mail end up in the spam?

Enamel is found in Spam preriodically with the expalanation so many emails that can be sent in so many hours. I do not know... It is Hot Mail.

Tell the person you are sending to (which has the hotmail address) to put you in his address book. Your emails should not go more Spam.

In addition, you might want to remember do not post your email address in a public forum. This is where spammers get their email addresses and send spam.

  • It's as soon as possible to simply drag - move the TBird address book collected addresses in a personal address book. Why this easy to use feature was dropped?

I want to copy the user and the e-mail information to one personal address book to others...

It still works like that. Preventing you to do this?

If you drag and drop this moves the contact from one book to the other. To copy you must hold the Ctrl key while doing. A plus sign appears to indicate a copy and not move.

  • How can I move some of my contacts in my personal address book in the list of "collected addresses"?

All addresses in my contact list are under "personal address book" and none in "collected addresses". The personal address book is too long and fill to the top with addresses I rarely (if ever) use. I prefer the new addresses that are automatically added enter the list "collected addresses" and would like to transfer addresses rarely used in this list.

The collected book adds all start addresses and gets big Rapids. But if that's what you want drag you and drop contacts between books.
Select the folder of personal book, so it appears in the main window
Select the contacts to move. Hold down the CTRL key while clicking to select multiple.
Drag the contacts to the new book folder and drop them there.

You can create a new address books on the file menu in the address book window
    File-new-address book

It would be more logical for me to create a new book and move contacts unwanted on the personal book.
The default value when adding new contacts is a book.

  • I want to copy some addresses in the personal address book to a specific address book without the chore of typing each of them. Dragging moves simply address.

I want to create specific address (for membership to the club) books. Click on the entry in the personal address book does give not an installation "COPY", and do drag from one to the other removes the personal address book. Is it possible, other than having to retype each address in the new book, which will allow the address to appear in the two books? OK - I know I'm lazy!

Learn how to use the copy/move techniques and selection of basic computer.
Hold down the CTRL key while clicking on contacts to select more than one at a time.
Hold down the CTRL everything to drag and drop to copy instead of move. A plus sign to indicate the copy.

  • How can I move the outlook express emails from an XP PC to an another XP PC that has the same e-mail address without overwriting existing messages on this second PC?

How can I move the outlook express emails from an XP PC to an another XP PC that has the same e-mail address without overwriting existing messages on this second PC?

I need to group together all messages from e-mail in a PC and to retire the first PC.

This could be problematic. I guess or OE is over? This would make it easy.

One thing you could do requires some manual work, but much less removal of dupes. For example, the Inbox. In the machine, you are going to scrap, create a new folder and move all messages in your Inbox to it. After you import on the other machine, you can drag the messages you need this folder in the Inbox, and then remove the user created the folder.

And then there are tools to remove the dupes. This one for example.

  • Show to move the address book of XP to Vista

I have an address book that I used for several years.  It is on a XP computer.  I'm trying to move the address information to a vista computer.  I copied the file .dat to addresses from the XP computer on Vista computer, but the data was not updated.   Is the store program data in a different location on a vista computer?

You can not just move the data files.  XP uses the address book but Vista with Contacts.  However, it can be imported/exported.  Here is the procedure: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Import-export-or-change-the-format-for-contacts.

Indeed, open address book under XP and use the export function, save as comma seperated text CSV file extension, and then import into Vista contacts (or open Contacts in Vista and allows importing function, save as comma-delimited extension CSV text file, then import them into address book of XP).  It is easy just follow the instructions in the link above.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to move the old address book (XP) in the new computer (8.1) as the existing default address book.

I have exported the address book in LDIF format and also found the abook.mab file in my old XP computer. My new address book W8.1 is totally empty. I don't know where to find the profile folder on W8.1 and when I import the LDIF creates a new address book folder that I don't want. I just want that everything in the default address book.

Open the newly created address book. Click a contact to select it. Press command + a to select all. Just drag and drop them on the personal address book to settle there.

  • How can I move the folders from Windows XP that contains "Live Mail" e-mail files to a different location than C:\Document and Setings\...?

I just migrated my PC Windows XP "Outlook Express" to "Live Mail" and the migration went really well - the progress of conversion migrated without any human intervention my thousands and thousands of emails, my many Email of OE, my address book files.

I have however a problem and are not top-of-now a solution for this.

With Outlook Express, files of Windows XP with my emails were on another Partition of Disk Partition c.  It is important for me, for all the 'application data' (for example, all emails) stored in another partition of the disc the C partition. Because if trouble with newly installed software (for example a beta Version of the software), I can use a backup of my C Partition and restore it without losing the data of the application (for example without losing everything new emails).

Question 1: With "Live Mail", can I keep my emails to another folder of Windows XP as the standard C:\Document and Settings\... file? If Yes: How can I do this?

Question 2: Is this whole "C:\Document and Settings\nom of utilisateur\Local settings\application data\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail" folder that I can move to another location?

Where can I get information on these topics?

    Thank you for an answer.

My apologies. I was finally able to find a description on how to move the folder containg XP on the Web e-mail "Live Mail".

In the event a reader is interested in the solution, I included the link to the Web page containing the answer:

  • Address books. I use an o/s of title Mac, but when I save a contact it goes rather in the personal address book. Use of the o/s address books checked in the menu. Thank you

I want to use only a single address book. When I star a contact, address goes to the personal address book, despite the address book of OS being specified in the menu. How can I transfer a name of the personal address book in OS Inbox. Can I remove the personal address book? Or transfer the contacts, and then eliminate the OS address book? Thank you very much. New user.

Personal and collected address books are the books by default and cannot be deleted.
You can select all the contacts in the book of MAC and move them to the personal address book.
Select a contact in the MAC book. Press Ctrl + a to select. Drag them into the personal book and drop them there.
You can click on the star a second time after adding a contact to open the Edit dialog box and select another address book from the drop-down list.

Pulling content out of the iPhone may be difficult if the course through third-party program. Pulling content that is simply there as a reference to an Exchange Server account is still more difficult, especially when you actually do have permissions of table of contents more.

There are many media extractors out there in the desert. No which one I met that go up to extract emails from an iPhone. Accounts Exchange wear protections than other accounts because they are intended for the use of the company, so extract the content out of one through your iPhone while the service is not truly connected will be a little difficult. You may well be able to transmit emails individually by changing the 'From' address to another email that you currently have on your iPhone. He cannot transfer your Exchange e-mail as it is right now, because you don't really have access to send anything from him.

If you are looking for an easier way, perhaps join your old company and ask if their IT Admin or the person they have to manage the messaging service to create an archive for you and who to send your way. Companies can be a bit skittish about sharing this content with employees passed, but it is worth it.
