E-mail problems

I have a Macbook, an iPhone 6s and an iPad while using GMAIL. The iPad and the iPhone receive emails all the time perfectly but the macbook must constantly turn on and off like re-booting for email at work. I was doing an expert from an it company but they say there is a problem with the macbook, because it keeps problems without reason.

Can you help me please

See you soon

  • Someone know if 10.11.3 corrects mail problems or makes it worse?

As any search for "El Capitan mail problems" reveals, there are myriads of problems with the original "up" grade, which have not been resolved in versions 11.1 and 11.2. Before I go through another update, can we say if ONE of these problems (breaks down, blocking issue, folders and messages being messed up, etc.) have been fixed? Or he got worse?

I have not seen any of these problems on my Mac. Problems of Mail? If this is not the case, make sure that your backups are up to date and run the software update. • Outlook Express dbx 2 GB mail problem.

original title: OUTLOOK EXPRESS mail problem of 2 GB dbx

    Hello

Since 2 days I'm fighting some OE problem with missing e-mail. The problem is like Office Outlook if there is some time 2000/XP/2003 with oversized - data 2 GB.
With some software I downloaded, can I see emails but no way to extract them again in OE. Is there a Microsoft tool supported as for Office Outlook scanpst retrieve Outlook Express messages?
    Best regards

You see a lot of messages in the Inbox? You can move them?

    1. Save your messages before you do anything. You can do this by creating a new identity and import all of your messages. Do this and then come back to the identity of the problem.
    2. Create folders and move messages from the Inbox to them.
    3. Compact of the Inbox.
Messages that you weren't see appear today? If it isn't...

You may need to run in the extract from disk Mode if its normal recovery mode fails to find lost messages.

    *****************************************

To help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • Mail problems

    Hi guys,.

My client was complaining of mail problems - they run on Outlook on a PC, and they get intermittent pop up to tell the server has expired or it requires an update of the name of user and password.

I tried Tech Support and they said that everything has worked fine.

However, now that I think about it, my e-mail does similar things - where from time to time he will ask me to update my name of user and password e-mail due to internal server problems (see screenshot).

I need to be able to provide my customer responses and solutions to these questions as soon as POSSIBLE.  I was refereing to Business Catalyst for all the sites people, that I'm building, but I am not a computer scientist, nor have I taken into account in THIS service in my quote with my client - so this work IT's cost me money!

  • Fixing of Apple Mail problem - Sierra

Since the update for Sierra, some attachments are not crossing in my emails. I get the icon trombone of attachment in the list for e-mail & in the header of the document, but I can't open, save or view the quicktime or mp3 files (even though when I open the same email in Outlook, I can access the spare).

This is happening only since I've updated for Sierra.

Sierra sometimes omits the last accessory and where there is a single attachment is it still missing.

It seems to fail if the account is configured for IMAP access. POP access is not the problem. Better send Apple. Go to http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html and em let know.

  • After El Capitan on new Macbook Pro Mail problems

Mail doesn't work properly anymore now that I use a new mid-2015 MB Pro with El Capitan.  Non-Pourriel, including remittances from my own account to myself, is marked junk and put in the Junk folder. Mail that is not marked as spam is also put in the Junk folder. I can't find the rhyme or reason for the choice of the filter. I always install the latest updates on all of my devices. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

There are two ways to designate as junk mail. One is based on the local 'training' that you used in the Mail application. These emails are marked in Brown, the other method is by e-mail based service provider on whatever rules or databases they use. These emails end up in the Junk folder, but are not marked in Brown.

The only way to deal with the second type is to open a session in the portal provider email, change your preferences or update the address book provider.

  • Mail problem after downloading El Capitan

Hello everyone. Can someone help me? I have a Macbook Pro 2011. Yesterday, I upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan 10.11.4 and now I have a problem with Mail. When I go to answer an email, the program behaves as if I'm starting a new email, i.e. None of the info is relevant response, recipient, text, nothing. I rang Apple Care and they say that it of a known bug and will be soon released an upgrade to fix (actually may have already appeared in the United States, according to them). Anyone know anything about this? I find no reference to anyone with a similar problem on any forum. Any help gratefully received. Thank you.

Moreover, it works fine on my iPhone and on iCloud

Please open the Mail preferences window and select the tab composition workshop . There is a box marked

  • Mysterious Apple's Mail problem

I have a problem in Apple Mail that I can't diagnose. I am running Yosemite 10.10.5 on a new Mac Pro. As I was info my old mac to the new migration, I noticed that nearly half of the 2-3 years value of messages in my "Sent" mailbox have been replaced by an image I call "the swami smiling." This image originally arrived in my Inbox in a legitimate-looking email from an episode of sender known 6 months ago. I have run ClamXav. He finds nothing wrong. Any ideas how this could happen, what it could be or what I need to do?

    Try to rebuild the mailbox.

    Rebuild the mailbox

If this does not work, try re-indexing of mailboxes mailbox. This can take some time if you have a lot of mail.

Reindex messages        For El Capitan, try looking in V3.

  • Mail problem

mid-2010 iMac, 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB of RAM

    Just improved 10.11.2 to 10.11.3

At the launch of mail - get a "Mail upgrade" window and a note that it is to validate the mailbox. The progress bar is freezing in half way through. No beach ball - in fact demand is not "frozen". The menu is functional - although most of the features are grayed out.

Otherwise, anyone with similar problems, or have an idea how to get my Mail up and run again? Any input is greatly appreciated.

The new version of Mail stores its database in a different format that the old, so the database must be converted before Mail can use it. Sometimes, the conversion fails because the old database is damaged, or because of a bug in the conversion code.

What you should do depends on what type of e-mail accounts you have. The first step, no matter what you do, is to save all the data, if you don't have a current backup.

Please read this post in full before anything else. If this is unclear, ask for clarification before taking a step. If you're not convinced that you can follow instructions, stop, don't change anything.

    A. Si you know that you have IMAP or Exchange only e-mail accounts

The easy way to recover is to delete the old database and start over. You can do this without losing all the messages, provided that:

☞ All your incoming mail accounts are on an IMAP or Exchange Server

☞ You store messages sent on the server

☞ You have no mailboxes "on my Mac".

Independent mail services the best-known as iCloud and Gmail are inspired by the IMAP. On the other hand, hosted by ISP e-mail services often use pop. If your ISP is one of your providers of mail services (or the only), you cannot use this procedure. See below part B in this case.

If the above conditions are met, please continue to do so.

    Quit Mail runs.

Open your home folder's library folder by pressing the option key and selection

    Go ▹ library

in the Finder menu bar. Inside, it is a subfolder named "mail". Move this folder on the desktop. You do not move the e-mail application; you move a folder named "mail".

Launch of Mail. The mailboxes must be restored automatically. The messages will be downloaded from the servers, so it can take a long time if you have very large mailboxes. Some people have mailboxes in the gigabyte range, and which can be a problem if the bandwidth is measured or the Internet connection is slow.

If the mailboxes are restored successfully, you can delete the folder that you moved to the desktop. You may have to re-create your rules, signatures and custom stationery Mail. If it's important for you not to have to do these things, ask for instructions before you delete the folder.

    B. Si you have a POP or "on my Mac" mailbox store, or if you don't know what you have

Move the folder of mail on the desktop as in the part has and open.

Press the key combination command + F to search. In the line of chips to search along the upper part of the window, select "Mail". Below, defined as the search criteria

    The name ends with mbox

Results of the research will be a list of folders with a name ending with '.mbox '. Each of them represents a box the letters.

Launch of Mail. All mailboxes will be empty at the beginning, but if you have any IMAP or Exchange mailbox (including iCloud), they should fill in automatically after a delay, as in part A. If you have now all the messages you want to keep, you can stop here. Otherwise, import from mailboxes in the search results. The article of support related, select

    Apple Mail

as import format. You'll probably want to jump boxes to letters with names such as "Deleted Messages", "Junk", "Spam", or "Trash". Some may be duplicates of what you already; those that you can remove.

In some cases, a mailbox may fail with an error to import. If this happens, thanks for posting your results.

If all the mailboxes that you want to import do successfully, you can delete the mail on the desktop folder.

  • Mail: Problem with mail sorting

For the years covering application rules and sort my mail into different mailboxes worked fine but suddenly it has stopped working. For some reason any all my incoming emails find themselves in the same mailbox (which is not the Inbox where they used to meet if there was no rule applied to the sender). Every single mail ends up in this mailbox randomly no matter if there is a rule applied to the sender or not. I think I have almost a 100 rules so I don't hope that the solution is to create them all again. Help will be greatly appreciated.

(The problem two days ago, when I still had Yosemite. Have now installed El Capitan, hoping it would help)

(MacBook Pro, El Capitan, Mail version 9.2)

Try to disable all the rules. If the behavior continues, then you know it's a rule.

If it's a rule, the fastest way to find the offending rule is to use a binary search. You can do it by the reactivation of the half of the rules. Continue this process until the offending article is identified.

    a return behavior?

    • Yes
      • you know it's in half you re-enabled.
      • turn off half of those that you just re-enabled. Go to (a)
    • NO.
      • you know it's the semester you have not re-enabled
      • Re-enable half of those who have not yet been activated. Go to (a)
  • Mail problem in trying to reply to a message in El Capitan

    Hello!

Since the upgrade to El Capitan, my mail is sometimes a bit unstable. His latest problem is that when I click on reply to an email, an empty message appears and cannot then be closed by clicking on the red button. I have to close Mail and reopen it. I can then close this message, but I find myself with a message in the drafts folder, which should also be deleted. I try to answer again and sometimes the message opens correctly and other times, I get another empty message and must go through the same procedure. If she continues on several occasions, I restart the computer and it works normally. This is a default intermittent and very annoying. I ran the first aid in disk utility and my OS and Mail seem to be the latest versions, so I don't know what could be the cause, or how I could solve it. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do to fix this please?

    Thank you

  • HP LaserJet 400 colorMFP M475dw scan to E-mail problems

    Hi all!

I would appreciate a solution to my agony.

We recently purchased a printer HP LaserJet 400 colorMFP M475dw. Now, I'm putting in place (browser-> Scan--> the outgoing message profile administration) to send scanworks by e-mail but face the following problems:

    1. when it is correctly typed all the credentials, even the "Test & Save" option takes forever. After cople attempts I got it successfully tested.

    2. with the help of my personal gmail accout as the sender, sweeping work takes a lot of time. It stops in the phase connection smtp server for quite a long time before even starting the actual analysis.

3 using the company newly created accounts of e-mail as a sender, it takes even more time. I timed it just 6 minutes and 23 seconds before the actual analysis.

    4. now, it seems to send the scan ok, but with some first attempts it failed with some general error message asking to try again.

In my opinion, the time it takes is completely unacceptable. Is this a known problem and is there a workaround?

Our company emails run on MS Office 365 and I use smtp.office365.com as server smtp port 587 and SSL/TLS ticked (tried also unchecked). As I said with Gmail, it would also slow but still very very very slow.

    Help, please?

I know this is an old thread, but just in case anyone is still having problems with this - I managed to fix it by disabling IPv6 in network-> advanced in the web server administrator. Connect to smtp.gmail.com from 3 minutes + seconds.
