E Series MODEL VPCEG26EG the upgrade of hard drives

Hi all

I always try to upgdare my laptop hard drive so dying.
And my question is whether I can use the latest SSD drives regardless of size.
If so, I need to the belvedere for something in particular? For example: Type Sata 3 or 2

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick response.
Very grateful for the help.

I guess that im really getting an SSD just for the concert only.
Is startup time, the only thing that an SSD can increase? Or is it generally faster compared to SATA HDD...

  • Satellite A500 - is there a model with the 2nd internal HARD drive?

Is there a model A500 with 2 internal drives?

    Hello!

You can check it on the Toshiba site in the specifications of the laptop if it s equipped ;) 2nd HARD drive

But I checked the Toshiba Web site for you, and it seems that Satellite A500 isn't equipped with the 2nd HARD drive.
If you want a 2nd HARD drive therefore use an external that you can connect via for example fast eSATA port.

They replaced the hard drive, saying: that was the problem, but do not partition. They decided to classified until the system OS of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit for Windows 7 Professional 64 bit., but did not try the recovery disks. Can I use the recovery disk, they made me, if are good restore the laptop back to factory new?  I know he will place the operating system Windows 7 Home back on the computer, but I want that all return provided with computer programs. I'll be able to upgrade the Professional operating system? Hi all

    I have a Satellite L70-A-139 youcef.
And at the back of the laptop, there is a cover that is fixed with a screw.

Wil I void the warranty when I unscrew and take a look?
I want to upgrade my HDD to SSD.
The motherboard supports Sata III: D.

    Thank you!

No, the mandate must still be valid.
There is a removable cover at the bottom of the unit as shown here:

  • Satellite M40X-112: can I use the 160 GB HARD drive

I have a Satellite M40X-112 lapptop and I want to upgrade my 80 GB to 160 GB internal drive.
How is know possible? (Toshiba hotline cannot give me an answer only that a 80 GB drive has been tried with these lapptop!). Anyone have experience with that?

I read several statements here in the forum about HDD upgrade on the M40X and it seems that there is a limitation in the BIOS.
The BISO will not recognize the 160 GB HARD drive and that is why you will be not possible to install an OS or you will not be able to boot from this device.

Please use the "advanced search" from this forum to find discussions on upgrading the HARD drive.

    Thank you

Not in the way you probably do. Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See Page 50. Unlike the Envy 17 and Pavilion dv7, Pavilion 17 has that a single hard drive Bay. The only way to add a second hard drive is to remove the DVD (optical drive) and insert a DVD to the hard drive bay adapter. The manual shows how to remove the DVD player and you can buy the adapter at amazon.com or jacobsparts.com. Note that this is a 9.5 mm thick disc, not a 12.7 mm. Both types are available. I do not recommend the adapter DVD player solution because you lose the use of the optical drive, and also because the interface of optical drive is usually not as fast as the main hard drive interface. Always fast enough for simple storage and you can run a video of her, but you do not want to edit the video of this disc, for example.

    https://www.jacobsparts.com/items/HDDBAY-02/

If you decide to go the route of adapter DVD I would buy a large capacity 5400 RPM SATA 2.5 inches wide and drive hard thickness 9.5 mm. No sense in buying a reader more expensive high-performance.

  • Is it possible to change the 500 GB HARD drive with an SSD on my HP Pavilion MS228sc?

I wonder if it is possible to change the 500 GB HARD drive with an SSD on my HP Pavilion MS228sc?

If 'yes', I guess I have to go for a SATA SSD if there is. But I have to worry about other specs?

    If 'Yes'... what could be.

I googled my question but no answers... so I ty Wizzards :-) Forum

    @Lord_Nikon

In fact, this is not true. As long as he uses a large SSD enough it will be able to use the recovery media. I suggest using a SSD of 256 or 512 GB if budgeted for the upgrade...

He doesn't have to make a Windows 7 installation USB drive and use the activation key license on the certificate of authenticity from the PC Windows to perform a cleanup to install.

One of them should be on your PC. The Prodct key is what is needed for installation and activation online.

  • Upgrade my hard drive of 1 TB to 3 TB HOW >?

Hello I am trying to upgrade my internal internal 1 TB to 3 TB drive.

What is the best way to do it. Can I just clone my 1 TB using Macrium or Acronis drive and then just take the old internal and

Place the new cloned internally in the Bay?  Then start right up? The largest clone disk will work on Windows 7 just like the old drive?

It's just like the change of a smaller size for a larger right shoe?

    Hello

  • I can't recover my system (DV6000) using recovery discs after replacing the card mother/HARD drive

I have a DV6408nr (windows vista Home premium) I had to replace the motherboard and hard drive. When installing the new motherboard (same part No.: 443775-001) and insert the recovery (bought from HP) discs that I have, I received an error message stating that the PC could not be recovered using my disks. The serial numbers on the label service and in my bios do not match. When I entered the serial number of my bios in HPpartsurfer, he said that the system is a DV6449us. I already checked my RAM and HARD drive is brand new/not formatted. I used these recovery discs (manufacturer: 483905-003/483906-003) successfully before on other flags of DV series. Is there a reason why these discs should not work on two motherboards in the same system with these similar specs? What should I do to get my system recovered?

The number of the motherboard and other show information in the bios of the new Commission?

The numbers do not match the recovery disks or information is missing in the bios.

If it's really a mismatch, then you will need to find the good recovery disks or use a Dell installation disk operating system and use the product key from the sticker on the laptop to get activated, and then manually install the drivers.

If the bios tattoo is damaged or missing information only a used HP Center can then fix the tattoo.
