E1550 cannot access hard drive NTFS.

I had already posted about problems with the E1550 is not able to recognize NTFS formatted hard drives.  After several attempts and reformats I was finally able to run and has been able to back up my hard drive NTFS system files.

Now, little more than a week later I set up to run my backup to run again and once more the E1550 not access the hard drive.  The same as he had previously recognized and allowed me to save in.

Twhat he E1550 sees that there is a hard disk there, but all he says is «detection...» ', this does not change.

I need this to be fixed and remains fixed.  If he's going to do every time I turn on the drive to make weekly backups, then I need to get another router wireless.

Thank you

I had to call tech support and the Department of advanced technology does a remote to connect to my network.  After a lot of control and looking around, they discovered that two of the hidden system files that the E1550 creates hard disk were corrupted.  Once these two files have been deleted the E1550 completed the connection and makes accessible drive.

First of all, you need not use a setup of Windows 98 to work partition disk before installing Windows XP, Setup of Windows XP has the tools to do this job.

Windows XP Setup cannot see the hard drive as it doesn't have drivers for the SATA controller on board.  To install Windows XP you must go into the BIOS and put the hard drive in IDE mode you will need to integrate the SATA drivers in the XP installation CD, or you need to feed them to the Windows XP Installer with a floppy using the F6 method drive.

Your new PC does support Windows XP, it has Windows XP drivers available for it?  If this isn't the case, you will have a lot of crying by train to get there.

  • Cannot access hard drive child

    Hello

I'm relatively new to VMWare. I had installed a VMWare Server 2 times back. The host OS is Windows Server 2008 64 bit version. I created 2 virtual machines. The guest operating systems were Windows Server 2003 Web Edition, and Windows Server Standard. The host crashed yesterday. I had to reset hard. Once the host has increased, VMWare would not come to the top. I uninstalled VMWare. Help of the positions of the community how to uninstall and delete files, registry clean. Then I installed VMWare server 2 once again. The installation was successful. Now, I created 2 new virtual machines (there is no virtual machine appears in the VMWare server console). The virtual hard drives were available. I connected them to the 2 VMS newly created. Two of them connected. I began VMS and they can be started. But the Windows Server 2003 Standard do not have data on the D: drive. The D: drive is showing all the 165 GB on 165 GB free.

Then, is not so much known, I tried to connect the hard drive of the child Win2K3Standard - 000001.vmdk to the virtual machine. It could not be connected and I got the error message. After through messages, I came to the conclusion that the good virtual drive to connect is Win2K3Standard.vmdk that corresponds to the parent of reader. This conencts to disk parent, but I think that the virtual machine is not at all to access the child disk.

The parent disk is about 7.5 GB while the child disk is more than 70 concerts. And unfortunately, I don't have a snapshot backup of the machine. I got the suspicion that there might be something wrong with the machine of the child.

    Please help me.

The snapshot of course - otherwise repeat you the same mistake.

Then make sure the vmx has this line

    scsi0:0. FileName = "Windows Server 2003 Standard - 000001.vmdk"

  • 696e647863686b2e 7be error cannot access hard drive.

A few days ago, I copied all my data on a 1 TB external HARD drive and used Lenovo one key recovery to reset my laptop to its factory settings, because I couldn't move to 8.1. Now when I plugged the hard drive of the laptop to get all my stuff it says an error similar to this every time:
-H:\ is not accessible. Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
-Drive not accessible. The parameter is incorrect.
I checked and found a similar problem on the forums, so I ran chkdsk /F R/x H:
Arriving on stage (2 of 5) it says: an unspecified error has occurred (696e647863686b2e 7be).

I was wondering if anyone of you has a solution to this.

  • Cannot access hard drive Time Capsule... Password not accepted

The device ' Time Capsule 802.11n (3rd generation).

Subject: Unable to connect to the HD TC

I've reconfigured our old Time Capsule (CT) for use by my daughter dependent of the College.  What with the TC seems to work fine (IE. Internet access and WIFI configured etc...).  I reformatted the HD to start from scratch.  And last updated as indicated by the Airport utility application.  The intention is to create a new WIFI area with backup (Time Machine).

When you set up Time Machine I stressed the internal HD of TC, and then it says "connecting to etc...".  After a few seconds, a new mold box presents itself to ' enter your password for the server (name of TC) for Time Machine can access.  I enter the HD password I had setup in Airport utility with nothing doesn't.  I checked all passwords with Airport utility "Show passwords".  Tried all the passwords, and of course which none worked.  And Yes, I even try the previous passwords even if I had changed their

I noticed that using the Airport 6.3.5 utility running on my OS X 10.10.5 machine I can see and change the TC.  But when I use another computer running 10.11.6 is the Airport 6.3.6 utility does not see the TC?

    Thoughts and comments please?

Next step may be reset to the factory settings, but feel something going on here...

    Thank you

    Kind regards

    (1) try to reset the password for the utility disk AirPort

    (2) open TextEdit on the Mac and type the password in plain text in an editor window.  This will allow you to ensure that all the keys on the keyboard are recognized.  I've seen cases where passwords fail again and again because of a problem with a wrong key on the keyboard or a habit of typing that makes you believe that you enter the password one way, but the result is something else.  Be able to actually see that typed password allows to check that.

  • We get an error "D: / is not accessible." a device i/o error"when trying to access hard drive

    * Original title: e/s problem

I am not able to access my hard disk.windows that says: -.

"D: / is not accessible." an i/o device error. "

I also tried chkdsk but it says that it is not directly operatable.

    Hi Rishanpc,

Thanks for the post. I am sorry to hear that you found a mistake "D: / is not accessible." a device i/o error"when trying to access hard drive.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will definitely help you with this.

To help you suggest several steps to solve the problem, I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions:

    1. have you checked if the cables are connected properly?

2 what is an internal hard drive or external?

3 have there been recent changes made on the computer before the show?

The most common cause of a non-accessible i/o error is a disconnected cable. When the computer tries to access a device, and it's no response after several tests, it will generate this error. Another common cause is when a program tries to access a file that has been removed or eliminated.

    Disconnected Hard Drive/cable misconfiguration

Internal hard drives require a specific set up. IDE hard disks can have only one master. If another hard drive has its defining together correctly pin code, a user is perhaps not able to access the data, and he will receive a message that the drive are not available. Cables come off inside the case of the computer also cause a not accessible i/o error. The user can correct this problem by opening the case and attach the data cables for each drive safely at the back of each drive and the motherboard.

You can follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    a. go to "Control Panel" in the start menu and choose 'performance and Maintenance '.

    b. click on 'System' then go to the Hardware tab and click on "Device Manager."

    c. find the device that records an error by developing the appropriate category nodes. If the device has a red "X" on the icon beside its description, the hardware is disabled; Go to step d to activate it. Otherwise, go to step e.

    d. go to the general tab and click on "Activate the device" found in the device status section. then press 'OK '. (Note: you may need to follow the guests, as indicated via an assistant of favorable device.) If you do, continue to click "Next" and follow the instructions until the process is complete.) Test the equipment. If an error is displayed, go to step e.

    e. click the general tab and click "Troubleshooting" found in the device status section and then press 'OK '. Follow the prompts to fix the problem. If an error is still displayed, go to step f.

    f. click the driver tab and click on 'Update driver'. Follow the instructions until the process is complete and then to test the equipment.

  • E1550 - cannot access drive USB with Ubuntu

I forget probably something real obvious but after screwing around for two hours, I tell myself that I need help.

I am running Ubuntu 14.04. I configured the router E1550 with an external drive that I formatted with the router utility. At this point, I don't have an internet connection that is connected to the router - I'm not sure I want at the moment. I want to do is to access, wireless, a disc that allows multiple users to backup their important files.

I tried to use read/write disk anonymous access as well actions also create. The features seem to be set up ok but at this point I have no idea how to do to access the drive.

I tried using the files of Ubuntu, then by selecting "browse network" then selecting "windows network. Alas, 'windows network' is an empty file without current disc.

I tried to access the wireless router and also hard not wired - no joy.

Maybe I'm not access the drive properly in Ubuntu? I need to mount the remote drive, rather than access it through windows network?

Thank you for the pointers given!

It seems that thatt I some eggs on my face here... I've done a re-boot of the computer and the shared disk is readily available.

I don't know why this would be needed - maybe something went haywire, or has been corrupted, but now everything works... go figure...

Thanks pinkyzeny... your suggestion did not help directly but indirectly, it leads to reset and that solved the problem!

  • Cannot access the drive HARD Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32 - file ONSPCCH.ini problem

I have a Toshiba PX1267E - 32 1 external hard drive as well. It was working fine with my Vista Home Premium OS and has all my data backup on it. It has been password protected.

My desktop HARD drive failed last week and was replaced and an old recovery disc of 12 months used to rebuild.

I then tried to access the external HARD disk to restore the backup I ran the day before the accident, but when I enter the password (that I know is certainly correct) I get the same error as others posting here. He suggested that the input data does not match the information contained in the ONSPCCH.ini file.

I can't disable or change the password as will erase all the data on the external HARD drive. The previous messages direct me on the site of Toshiba, but the options to download an updated driver is no longer correspond to the options available online.

    Help, please! :-(

  • Windows XP Setup cannot find hard drive

    Running VMWare Fusion 2.01 (128865).

I'm doing a repair of my installation of Windows XP Service Pack 3 on the VM.  I am able to boot from the CD and start the Windows Setup successfully.

However, installing Windows says it is unable to find a hard drive and cannot continue.

When I hit F3 and restart the computer, the virtual machine load XP on the virtual hard disk as before.

How can I get the Windows installation to recognize my virtual hard disk and do a repair?

Take a look at the following...

If the virtual machine was created using Windows Installer Easy or has a VMware SCSI virtual hard disk, you must download the Drivers SCSI VMware and select the file vmscsi - 1.2.0.4.flp like the floppy drive of the virtual machine in the Virtual Machine settings sheet of the target. This disk image contains the necessary VMware SCSI disk drivers when booting with the Windows XP CD and you will need to press F6 when it says "press F6 if you need to install...". "at the bottom of the Virtual Machine window and it will then invite the driver after he continues to load additional files. Just follow the guests.

BTW you may need to press the Fn + F6 etc. and this can be changed in system preferences > keyboard & mouse > keyboard > use all F1, F2, etc...

If the Virtual Machine is not initiating the CD/DVD or ISO Image, and then select the CD-ROM in the Boot Menu.

Engage the Boot Menu and select the CD-ROM drive...

The bottom of the virtual machine just above the status bar after the Virtual Machine is started, it has...

"Press F2 to enter SETUP, F12 for the start-up network, ESC for Boot Menu"

On the status bar, it features...

'To direct entry to this virtual machine, click inside the window.'

BIOS flashing by is very fast so you need to work quickly however give it a try and if the Start Menu cannot be higher then the configuration of the Virtual Machine file .vmx must be edited to slow the STATION and or change the boot order.

OK, click the big Play button on the screen of the virtual machine, and then quickly mouse click in the Virtual Machine screen and then press the ESC key to bring up the Start Menu and select the CD-ROM drive. If it boots the CD very well and if the Boot Menu does not appear, because he goes just to quick access and then try again or...

Watch the Boot Delay section in the current user's Guide to VMware Fusion and the section of the virtual machine files of A Beginner's Guide to VMware Fusion on when the configuration of the Virtual Machine's .vmx file is and add the following lines to the file. TextEdit can be used to edit the .vmx file.

To give more time to indulge, the Start Menu Add the following...

    bios.bootDelay = "3000".

For, once, force the VM in the BIOS to change the Boot order in the BIOS if the CD-ROM is first add the following...

    bios.forceSetupOnce = 'TRUE '.

Note: by default in the normal Fusion 1.x virtual Fusion function file are created in the folder "~/Documents/Virtual Machines" and according to host operating system version and or Fusion worm. There may be a .localized after Virtual Machines although by default, this extension is not visible in the Finder.

    ~ Is your Home Directory.

The files that make up the virtual machine are placed in a folder (aka Bundle and or packing) bearing the extension '.vmwarevm' which, by default, this extension is not visible in the Finder.

Example: "~/Documents/Virtual XP.vmwarevm Machines/Windows" in the Finder would just resemble an icon named "Windows XP."

To view the contents of the entire file "Windows XP.vmwarevm" ctrl-click (or right-click) on the "Windows XP" icon and select Show the contents of the package.

To change the configuration file of .vmx ctrl-click (or right-click) on the "Windows XP.vmx" file and select open with > choose another... then in Application choose TextEdit.

Note: If you use Firefox do not copy and paste the parameters if TextEdit unless you copy only the exact line and nothing else in the case, use an editor such as TextWrangler.

    Also...

When you use utility disk in order to have a bootable ISO Image, you must select Master CD/DVD without encryption in which case by default, it will have an extension .cdr file and in version 1.1 of the merger and later does not need to be changed in .iso, although one can if one chooses to. A default .dmg image is compressed and is not bootable, as an uncompressed .dmg will start if changed in .iso and of course the source CD/DVD should be bootable in the first place.

To create an ISO Image using disk utility...

1 insert the CD or DVD disc into the optical drive of your computer.

    2. open disk utility (/ Applications/Utilities/Disk utility).

    3. Select the CD or DVD drive in the list of disks and volumes.

    4. Choose file > new > "Disk Image from (name of the disc)."

    5. type a name for the disk image.

    6. choose "DVD/CD master" from the Image Format pop-up menu.

7 choose "none" from the encryption pop-up menu.

    8. click on save.

    Also...

Take a look on: VMware Fusion menu bar > help > VMware Fusion help > manage virtual machine > configure the CD/DVD drive

Installing a version commercial (street copy) of Windows XP on a Toshiba Vista laptop.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Step 1: Prepare the BIOS
-Go to section Support/Drivers on the Toshiba site and look for your model of Toshiba
-If your phone has a separate version of BIOS for XP and Vista, download the BIOS XP and run it in Windows.
-If you cannot start Windows, you can update the BIOS after installing XP.

Step 2: Enable SATA Compatibility Mode in the BIOS
-If installing XP cannot detect SATA drive, enable SATA Compatibility Mode in BIOS if this option is available and install XP.

Step 3: Install XP using a floppy with the SATA drivers
-If SATA compatibility mode is not available, you must use the SATA drivers diskette during installation of XP. Follow these steps:

    (1) Download driver Windows XP SATA F6 on the site of Toshiba Support/downloads.
If a single SATA/AHCI F6 driver is unavailable, download and extract the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver for XP in a temporary folder.
The Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver package must contain some files under the folder "F6flpy". For example: C:\temp\Intel Matrix Storage Manager\F6flpy\ICH8M_32bit
Choose the right folder. For example: ICH8M_32bit for a Chipset of Intel ICH8 during installation of Windows XP 32-bit.

    (2) copy these files (iastor.inf, etc.) on a blank diskette. The files must reside in the root directory of the floppy disk.
    For example: A:\iastor.inf, A:\iaahci.inf, etc...

    (3) connect a Toshiba USB floppy drive to the Toshiba laptop. (some non - Toshiba USB Floppy Drives may not work correctly during the installation of XP)

    (4) (4) demarrer start from the Windows XP CD, start the installation and make sure that your floppy with the drivers is inserted into the floppy USB drive.

    (5) for the XP installation invites you to press F6 to install a storage driver, immediately press F6.

    (6) for installing XP you invites to select a SATA driver, select the appropriate driver and continue.
    For example: ICH7M Intel(r) 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller, Intel(r) ICH8M 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller

    (7) keep the attached floppy drive and floppy disk inserted XP has not completed its installation.
Do not partition or format the hard drive during the installation of XP. The diskette SATA drivers are copied and stored on the hard drive during the installation of XP.

  • Satellite Pro L300 - installation of Linux RHES4 cannot find HARD drive

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 and it comes with preinstalled Vista, I loaded the XP due to the fact that I was going to see if I could load linux Redhat Enterprise 4 and dualboot both operating systems at the same time but discovered this "DOUBLE BOOT" means that you can have 2 operating systems but can only bott one or the other...

Anyway, my problem is that I want to just install Redhat Enterprise 4 linux on my laptop, but when it comes to partition the hard drive I get an error message saying "cannot find the hard drive to create file systems" then click OK and restart.

    Any ideas people?

    Chris.

    Hello

I m not a Linux expert, but I think that the reason is missing SATA drivers.
Normally, on each notebook with SATA HDD, you need SATA drivers to recognize the HARD drive before installing OS.
If you install Windows XP or Vista, you need storage for this Manager. The drivers can be loaded with an external floppy drive.
But I put t know how it works on Linux

An alternative you can change in the mode of AHCI Compatible HARD disk BIOS. Then, you don't need drivers and your disk should be recognized correctly.

Otherwise, I recommend this thread: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=14

I tried to start Windows in safe mode but the same thing happened, just keep restarting. I tried to repair Windows (by pressing f8 and etc.) and without success, he kept restarting.

    Hi dakova,.

Ist it Toshiba's original OS is still installed? I ask this question because it of necessary for the recovery of HARD drive. If you have installed another OS, you can access t HARD drive recovery option.
In addition, recovery of HARD drive option is available if you press the F8 key before Windows starts. In the advanced boot menu, select fix my computer. The exact procedure is described here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

Alternative, you can take the Toshiba recovery disc. This will also restore the original settings. :)
