E260 v2 won't start - necessary recovery mode

My e260 v2 won't start.  After the logo screen, it says not "enough space for music DB.  Please free 90 MB' and stops quickly.  When I connect it to the computer, the computer recognizes it, but it does not appear in the Explorer.  Indeed, the Explorer crashes if the Sansa is connected.  Windows Media Player does not recognize it no more.

After reading this forum and other sources online, I thought that the solution to my problem was to go into recovery mode and reformatting.  However, it will not be in recovery mode.  After reading a bit more, I learned that models v2 is not recovery mode, but I have not found anyone mention what to do instead.  So, how can I reset my Sansa to the factory settings?

The "not enough space" error is most often related to a file corruption.  You will need to manually connect in MSC mode.  Step 1 of the solution includes details on that for you.

Voila!  It's pretty simple.

I have a Mac mini end of 2009, the latest version of El Capitan. I recently stopped a partition bootcamp by mistake and now I have 80 GB of my Mac partition filled by anything. Repartition the hard drive does not fix it. I want to reinstall the OS via the recovery however mode, hold down the command and R key results in a blank screen that never ends. I get the same result when you hold down option. The Mac starts up normally and disk utility says that the hard disk is free of errors.

Sounds like the recovery partition has been mess up.

-If you have another Mac then

-Download the installer for OSX El Capitan. They should be included in the purchase of the Mac App Store section

-Make a USB bootable media using the following:

    DiskMaker X

    -Start since the media

-Format the boot disk and install OSX from bootable media

  • my old imac won't start in recovery mode

I'm going to erase my hard drive to recycle my old imac. I now restart the command and R keys but it goes to my screen, no recovery of connection?

What model/year is your iMac? You may need your original installation disks to erase and reinstall.

  • royally botched vista, will be only the start in recovery mode is not serious what I seek

right, I have got myself into a right 2 and 8 here. After a long and boring fight with a virus that blocked my internet and evaluate in system32, I finally managed to remove it completely. but, after his retirement, vista started crashing when I went to connect, resulting completely garbled screen. safe mode has started very well, unless I tried to activate the networking, audio or one of my ladies of virus, which caused its lockout and plant too.

I took it to a friend at a repair shop who have kindly pointed out that, although I had removed the virus completely, or I seem to have also deleted a large number of system32 files, including the rundll32.exe all important. It recommended, as I disabled the system restore, I run the vista recovery partition to repair the damage. I did, but in my haste, I think that he overwrite some files, do not know that and now windows of only starts in recovery mode, choose any option. Even safe mode gets in the middle of the commissioning before she also starts the recovery program.

Oh and here's the strange thing, when vista crashed in the newspaper, the screen (in the background) was quite fuzzy and pixelated, but the mouse was not and in fact, was very good. This makes me think that it is perhaps a lack of graphics driver also, driver, or who could not run because of rundll32 or one of the other DLLs where missing.

So, what should I do? I have a lot of important files on the machine and I don't want to lose them. I have my vista disk, could I start out of it and run a repair by it? or if I can reinstall vista only? or I'll lose all my files in the procedure?

You can do a repair on Vista installation - but you must start Windows.

    Here is the link: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html

I have a lot of success with this and usually sugest (like vader95) that you back up your stuff and do a new installation.  We don't know what you're missing, and you're going to be fiddling around with him for always (IMO).

    Good luck!

  • Could not start the recovery mode

Have a 10 years, MacBook Pro under Snow Leopard. I want to erase the hard drive, so I can pass the computer. Tried to go to the mode of recovery many times, but I get to my office. Have you tried pressing the button command + R with no luck. Then I tried just by pressing the option key. Same thing.

    Someone has an idea?

    Thank you

    Rivervu

You need to start on the DVD included with the computer. There is no recovery mode in Snow Leopard, and your computer is too old to use Internet recovery.

  • MBP is unable to start the recovery mode

    What I did:

    1 created a BOOTCAMP WIN7 partition.

2 installed WIN7 without any problem.

    3. after the installation realized this BOOTCAMP partition was too small to account for the applications.

    4. in OSX, I used the disc utilities to create a new partition in the hope to expand WIN7 using computer management.

Note: Did not know at this stage that I couldn't resize the BOOTCAMP partition.

    5. in the reboot was missing the BOOTCAMP partition. Back to OSX and deleted the partition newly created in the hope of solving problem. It does not solve the issue returned if MAC partition to the previous size.

    6. found online for instructions to restore the BOOTCAMP partition.  Basically, I have executed (sudo/dev/disk0 gdisk), track your orders: r, h, 4, y, hex MBR code default, y, n, o, o, y. When I tried to write this out I got an error.  After research, I realized that, even as root, I had no possibility to write the settings.  This required me to disable SIP.  So I booted into recovery mode, within the Terminal, I was able to run (csrutil disable).  No problem. Back to OSX, and at that time, I was able to write the settings.  Restarted and my BOOTCAMP partition was available.   At this point, I was on the original show with BOOTCAMP partition too small.

7 bought WINCLONE and backed up my BOOTCAMP partition.  Deleted the partition, BOOTCAMP and MAC returned to the original hard disk configuration.  Back to manufacture settings.

    8. resized by car using the disc utilities for what I tried to accomplish.  WINCLONE to restore image BOOTCAMP.  This large all worked.  All partitions appear by pressing the alt/options when starting.  I can't enter EC OSX and WIN7.

    9. after having reached this point, I decided that it was important to turn SIP.  When I tried to boot into recovery mode by using alt/options the MBP displays the loading splash screen but then goes off.  So then I tried to use the command + r taking me to internet loading recovery.  The recovery screen eventually load and when I try to run (enable csrutil) I get bash command not found error.

Note: I ran disk utility first aid on the menu of recovery OSX EC and internet, no error.  Still no luck with the transition into recovery mode.

Current status: the two operating systems work very well.  I was even able to update WIN7 WIN10 without any problem.  I just can't in recovery mode to activate SIP.

    Any advice?

My next option was to delete the BOOTCAMP partition and do a clean install, but I fear that my software purchased as FileMaker Pro and WINCLONE will be unavailable.  I have a Time Machine backup and running.  That said, when I tried to restore the iMac of the wife he not would allow me to restore the operating system using Time Machine.  I don't know why, but I had to use my image to restore his computer.  My MBP FileValt is currently disabled.  He was turned on but felt the need to disable it to prevent that a possible problem.  I made a backup of charges using Time Machine and also WINCLONE.

    Thanks in advance.

    Update:

    1. I just finished a clean install of EC and that corrects my SIP number.  I just want to add that Time machine worked very well!  I was able to restore all applications.

    2. next goal is trying to install WIN10 image and WINCLONE.  My hope is that it will not change my MBR.

  • Firefox crashes immediately on startup. Won't start in safe mode.

If this is not for my personal system, but a colleague. Our company force installation of some software updates, and he had a forced installation arrives for a Firefox version 38 ESR. The installation completes successfully, and he was not able to run Firefox since then. We have tried to uninstall/reinstall to level 39 (including by deleting the directory under Program Files (x 86). We also tried to restart after each step, do not restart after each step, update of Firefox did not help either, and "Reset" is not available. We can open in safe mode and disable the Add-ons, but then it crashes again once we restarted in normal mode. This morning we tried to install level 38 instead of 39, but get the same results. Help?

You can check if Firefox can be started in Safe Mode by holding down the shift/Options button.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your display driver graphic card and search for hardware acceleration of related issues.

  • Computer won't start not (Normal Mode or secure); Blue screens

I have a HP Pavilion DV6 Notebook PC. The other day, he crashed and gave a blue error screen. Since then, it does not start. Ive tried to boot normally and without fail, or work mode. This is the information given in the blue screen. :

    Win32k.sys

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

    Technical information:

    STOP: 0 X 00000050 (0XFFFFF901C066263C, 0 X 0000000000000000, 0XFFFFF9600006CCA3, 0 X 0000000000000005)

    Win32k.sys - address FFFFF9600006CCA3 base at FFFFF96000000000, Datestamp 53c5df64

When it crashed first, I played a game, then the screen got all pixelated, then the blue screen. The computer has overheating problems, because the fan doesn't work 100%. He often stops from overheating, but I cleaned the vents out because it has not overheated since. I just want to know if anyone can tell what is the problem of the information above, or if you need more information. Because the computer does not start, I can't crash dump files. Any information is appreciated!

    Hello

Audio does not work in Mode without failure.

And you fail to tell us what is your operating system.

    Follow this information.

Scan of Malware in Safe Mode with network.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-start-Windows-in-safe-mode/#Vista

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with the Boot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

Once in Safe Mode with network, download and run RKill.

RKill does NOT remove the malware; It stops the Malware process that gives you a chance to remove it with your security programs.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/

Then, download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware in Mode safe mode with networking:

    See you soon.

  • Windows XP won't start in normal mode

When you start the computer normally, he will just stay at the Windows loading screen forever. It allows me to start safe mode and I did a system restore, but this does not solve the problem. I don't know what other steps can I take to get my computer to start. Any suggestions?

'Safe Mode' is simply Windows running with the bare minimum programs and support.  When you start normally, other programs and services are started that are not started in Mode without failure.  Apparently one of these additional programs preventing your computer from starting normally.  The process to discover which program is causing your problem is a random approach and use the Microsoft utility 'msconfig' selectively the enable/disable these additional processes.  Once you find out what process is the problem, the solution is usually apparent.  See the following article:
