E31 Twr LEN-2555DQU - no display

I have a thinkstation E310 which turns on (all before LED light, fans lights up) but there is absolutely not be shown in the display.

Using the display port - VGA - no other on-board graphics card onboard

I tried different monitors - is not the monitor.

Also tried reinstalling the RAM - still nothing.

Tried resetting the CMOS - still nothing.

Started A machine with removed RAM - gives the indication of tone expected as there is no RAM. - so I don't think it's the motherboard itself. (Correct me if that assumption is wrong)

Another thing I noticed - the optical mouse does not light - I don't know if it should be, because this isn't my normal machine. But I guess that is it supposed to be illuminated.

Do not know what other measures to take to try to solve this problem. I have an another E310 that I can use to test the other RAM/PSU. But I would like to know if there are patches of other possible before moving forward with this.

EDIT - Something else strange, I noticed - as soon as I plug the cable from the power supply, fans look for the second, and then turns on the machine completely. This does not occur on other E310 and seems very abnormal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

THE FIXED! -Completely erase the CMOS did the trick, yesterday I had only removed the battery - I didn't have the tools to go down the CMOS jumper. Tried it this morning, and the computer started after that I have reset the date and time. Happy, it's fixed!

I bought a Canon 430EX 11 Flash to go with my Canon EOS camera D 70 with a 18-135mm lens. Flash displays the icon confirming the auto zoom only intermittent and when it isn't, twist the zoom of the camera does not appear on the screen of the flash.  The batteries are charged and the flash is locked on the camera.

I'm not entirely sure I understand your question.  The 430EX II has can be put in a mode where it automatically follows the camera zoom (within the limits... 24 mm to 105 mm), but you can ALSO put it in a mode where you manually control the zoom flash.  If it's in the manual control mode, so it won't automatically zoom.

It is important that the 'broad' Panel not in use (if you go out and go back to the bottom of the Panel then flash will go to wide angle and zoom not EVEN if it was in auto mode.)

Press the Zoom button, then use the - / + keys to change the zoom.

When under manual control, there is a black "M" icon that appears the word "Zoom".  If the "M" is not present then it is auto zoom mode.

Finally... When you change the zoom on the camera lens, generally nothing will happen on the flash UNTIL you wake up the system by doing a half - press the shutter button.    When the camera wakes up to the meter and focus... it is when she allows to set the zoom on the flash head.

    Thanks in advance.

There is nothing to do to apply the corrections.  They occur automatically and are integrated and always on.  Selection profile of lenses in the drop-down lists to select external profiles that can be applied or not according to choice your.

As your screen Panasonic a mirrorless cameras view live image instead of having an optical viewfinder.  For this reason the device itself, already correct lens distortions before displaying the image on the LCD screen and the camera incorporates these lens corrections in the raw file metadata.  LR just uses this information in correction lens included to display the image in LR.  Because you can't turn to the correction of the lens in the camera you also can't disable this correction of the lens in LR.

Cameras DSLRS with the optical viewfinders do not automatically correct the image as is by the mirrors and Prism directly through the lens, not the image on the sensor, then there is no integrated lens correction and LR requires that you choose a profile of lenses in the list if you want to apply them.

    Hi stephenr,.

When you open a raw image in Photoshop, it will open in Camera Raw first and you would be able to see the profile tab of sub Lens Correction

However, when you go to the filter menu > filter Camera Raw > then tab of profile is not supposed to be there, and this is the expected behavior.

  • 70. sigma - live display problem lens

    Hi guys,.

Don't know if anyone has experienced the problem I have at the moment, but I would be interested to receive feedback.

Camera is 70 d and the lens is a Sigma 17-70 f2.8 to 4.5. If I use live view and touch the screen to focus the lens focuses fine and looks sharp on the screen. Can I enlarge the area of focus for more precision and all looks ok. However, when I press the button at halfway to win the lens memory moves back and forth as memorization of the normal search. Then the camera will beep and the place turns green lock confirmation.

This is that the image is actually at the point when the squre turns green. If I release the button of the system auto focus continuous finds new clear focus, but when I press the button again to half way down it crashes again out of focus.

Incidentally the lens works very well in AF mode in the viewfinder

    Anyone got any ideas?

  • 3D display of HP 2311gt

Setting up new HP 2311gt display.  All the normal functions work fine.

However, the RPF 3D does not seem to be well aligned. the intertwining of left/right seems to reverse the eyes all 10 lines or more.

This only seems to happen with the outline of selection of the OSD. If I well tilt upwards or downwards a little, I can get it where a single line is visible to the eye only (as one would expect).  It's usually that sensitive?

I get that aligned with the OSD, it aligns correctly with the output of the graphics card.  In this case, I can see the image on the left eyes (through the lens of the left eye) for about 5 lines, then it fades at the sight of good eyes for another 5 lines then back to the left eyes view.

I can see that with the CyberLink software included with the included monitor with 3D images and 3D demo "Puss ' n Boots" video.  I also recreated the same effect by using MS paint to draw a simple black line that repeats all other lines.  I see that the series of lines to return back and forth between the eyes on the same frequency (5 left, right 5, 5 new left) once again the SHIFT is progressive.

My graphics card is a Gigabyte AMD GPU HD6870.  Is there some setting or adjustment that I have to do to solve this problem?

The display is set to 1920 x 1080 and the monitor is recognized correctly (monitor LCD HP 2311gt 3D)

    Update:

The screen is 1920 x 1080 3D stereo very well - I had a problem where the parameter of the ATI/AMD graphics card has been updated with the image scale.  It will kill the stereo 3D efect.  Once the video scaling was turned of in the settings of graphics card, it works beautifully.

    Nice also appear.

The documentation is very good for normal use - an a wink to put in place.  However, it must do a separate troubleshooting for 3D guide.  A document on the CD provided and maybe an insert of EIA.

If the product manager sees this, I have other simple suggestions.

  • Inspecting a display LCD through the acrylic glass

    Hello

I need to inspect a liquid crystal under a sheet of acrylic glass display. The camera and the lighting of the ring are mounted perpendicular to the screen. The problem are the reflections of the acrylic glass plate. P1234 (upper left) shows that. Then I tried a polarisation on the lens filter and could reduce the reflections, only a little, but also myself distortion of acrylic glass (right upper P1234; ignore the sheet on the acrylic glass). The next step was to place a further polarisation on my Flash filter. First of all, I turned the filter on the lens so that I had the best contrast of the screen and transformed subsequently lightning with the second filter so that reflections were minimal. The reflection was still too light for I can't inspect my screen.

Because of the perpendicular frame of lightning, I get thinking. So I tried to keep the lightning to another position and could achieve the best images (P1234 in lower left) but also shadows because the screen is mounted a few millimeters under the acrylic glass. P1234 (bottom right) shows the screen LCD lit on both sides and I think the result is very quiet. Don't you think that a substantive correction could improve this result?  Or should I use another system of lightning (Dome with coaxial Lightning)?

What can offer me my to solve my problem?

Lighting on both sides should give good results, as long as the lights are out on the side far enough.  The image seems good.

Another possibility is to indirect lighting.  Put a large white area broadcasting on location camera, with a hole for the camera to look through.  Bounce light on the white surface to turn on the LCD screen.

    Suggestions?

    Hello Truman,

Try to reset the DVD Home Theater system and see if it helps.
    In order to reset,
Unplug the power cord of unity HTS of the socket for a minute.
Plug it directly to a power outlet and switch on the device.

If the front panel display does not always illuminate upwards, perform a cold reset, which returns the system parameters, such as the speaker settings and preset stations, factory settings.
    To reset the cold,
Press the POWER button on the front panel of the unit to turn it on.
After this, press the button STOP, EJECT and POWER on the system at the same time.
If the front panel displays works, then, "COLD RESET" will appear on it.

If the problem is still not resolved, it may be necessary to return the unit for service. Use the following link for a repair facility for your HTS

  • Canon EF 70-210mm F/4.0 Macro Zoom Lens

A Canon EF 70-210mm lens Zoom Macro F/4.0 is already used on a Canon EOS 630 is usable on modern SLRS like the Canon 6 d?

should work the same, BUT it is perhaps not as optically perfect like new lenses. With film, you were not able to expand your negatives in the same way you can with a digital file using your monitor to display 100%. Some like to do that but in the real world, when you print that big with excellent results.

  • Should I clean the sensor before mounting the new lens?

Hello guys! Sorry for stupid question, but I'm not sure I know the correct answer. One of the devices that I use is Canon 5 d classic, and there a lot of dust on the sensor and the viewfinder (not unusual for 5di). I just got a new goal, and I wonder if there is a possibility for the dust on the sensor/viewfinder to get inside the lens while filming? Or I have to clean the viewfinder/sensor before mounting? Or just forget to dust as will evertually get inside the lens of dust? Thank you! I appreciate your answers!

    Good advice so far...

    1. you don't have to worry about the use of your lens on the camera. The goal is pretty well sealed against dust, so all the dust that's in the mirror in the camera box is unlikely to migrate into the lens (it is more likely to migrate on the sensor, but even what is low risk). There is no such thing as completely dust free a lens, anyway. A few grains of dust inside a lens have virtually no effect on the images.

    2. you probably should take advantage of your membership CPS to have the camera, cleaned and checked.

But you can also learn how to clean yourself. Some call it the classic 5 d a magnet 'dust '... Just, I think he's got a big sensor dust get on and does not have a self-cleaning feature because is on later models. It's going to get dusty again, you can bet. So at least you might want to get a blower bulb ("Rocket Blower" is a brand) and learn to use it.

You probably already know, seen in the viewfinder of the dust is usually harmless. It is usually on the mirror or on the focus screen and will not be displayed in the images taken with the camera (unless she manages to migrate on the sensor itself, which is hidden and protected behind the shutter with the exception of the brief moment when an image is rendered).

If the dust seen in the viewfinder appears sharp and in short, it is on the focus screen. If it is fuzzy and blurry, it's on the mirror. Unless you know how and have the right tools for the job, it is not a good idea to give the focus screen and nothing more aggressive than a breath of air from a blower bulb mirror. These can be cleaned more thoroughly, but both are very easily damaged: the screen is optical plastic and can be ruined by using the right type of gasoline on it. The mirror is before coating aluminium vaporized, so is very easily damaged. Aside from an occasional breath of air from a blower bulb, I recommend to leave the mirror screen and concentrate only until you have done a professional cleaning.

A more serious problem to monitor does not light seals. There are seals foam around the edge of the focus screen, which builds the mirror upward against when it is triggered, to keep stray light out of the box mirror during exposure. Over time, these seals foam begins to degrade and may throw particles or even coat of glue holding them in place on the mirror screen and focus. In general, clean up the damage, remove the old and install new foam gaskets are a little tricky, so I recommend that you have any replacement of the foam seal done by a professional. (Also, there are foam seals similar elsewhere inside the camera that are likely to need replacement too, if the joints in the mirror box go wrong. A pro will know what is needed and have the skills to work deeper inside the camera.)

Time does not always have to send a camera in for a simple cleaning of the sensor, so it's something that you can learn to do it yourself. There are two sites that discuss good detail: www.cleaningdigitalcameras.com and www.copperhillimages.com. The first is maintained by independent, professional camera repairmen who also are providers of the repair industry and sell most of the specialized tools and supplies needed for the cleaning of the sensor. The second part of the merchant site one of special cleaning procedures ("Copper Hill Method"). Both sites have good information. Read them carefully before performing any cleaning yourself.

If you decide to learn how to clean the sensor yourself, some things you need to know...

Never use a q-tip common (i.e., "Q-Tip") inside a camera. They throw cotton fibers that can enter and jam of delicate mechanisms.

Check the manufacturer's website you plan any liquid sensor cleaning aid is formulated and approved for your particular camera.

No matter what digital camera that has never had the sensor cleaned almost always need a "wet" cleaning first. This is because there is almost always oils on the sensor (actually in most of the cameras the surface to be cleaned is a filter which covers and protects the sensor). These oils are excess thrown out of the shutter mechanism. Any method of "dry cleaning" that touches the sensor will coat oils and make things worse. If a "wet cleaning" is always advocated, first time around.

It is important to have some the aircraft batteries fully charged before cleaning and work quickly, so that to be able to hold the mirror up and the door is open doesn't work low allowing the shutter to close and the mirror to fall on a tool used for cleaning. Professional cleaners often use a continuous supply instead of a battery, to be sure.

It is convenient to have a magnifying glass Magnifier and light any for easy cleaning. When you view the sensor at the front, don't forget that the image is upside down and reversed. Thus, for example, if you have seen a job in the corner upper lefhand of your images, when you view the sensor directly you will find straw incriminated in the lower right corner.

You usually have a variety of tools to do a multi-step cleaning...

"Fan bulb cleaning' to blow the free particle outside ("Rocket Blower").

"Wet cleaning" with approved optical and fluid swabs from cleaning to remove oils and the particles more strongly respected ('Copper Hill method kit', 'Pecs Pads", 'Pécs swabs', 'Eclipse' solution) of sensor cleaning.

'Adhesive cleaning' using a slightly sticky surface take off slightly adhered particles ('Dust Aid').

'Cleaning antistatic brush' stubborn Claire, remaining slightly adhered particles and to reduce static electricity that attracts dust ("Arctic Butterfly").

"Deleting individual speck" with a reusable precision tool ("Speck Grabber").

"Final Polish" always is a last step to remove the haze left by gasoline ("by LensPen sensor pen"). It also helps to discourage the dust sticks to the surface again.

I've included a few brand names of the products in parentheses as examples. There may be other equally effective products.

Most of the time I find myself with several or even all of these when I do a cleaning of the sensor.

    See you soon!

  • Canon lens EF 70-200mm L F4 USM + 2 X L series extender

Hi, I have a Canon lens EF 70-200mm L F4 USM. Now, I want to buy an extension of series X L 2. Can someone help me by informing that AF can work with EF 70-200mm L USM F4 + 2 X Extender mounted on 650 d device and how much image quality I have to make compromises for the same thing.

    mithun_pal129 wrote:

Thank you all for your valuable comments. I forgot to mention that my intension of extender to my EF 70-200mm L F4 USM in a telephoto lens for wildlife / birds. But now that I'm your stay in Abu Dhabi, he is not paid a lot of bird / wild life. This is why I don't want to spend a lot on super telephoto, and personally, I don't want to go to cheap Sigma lens. So I wanted to do objective 70-200mm + 2 Expander x 140-400 mm. As I myself feel 1.4 X extender is pretty good, but it will give me up to 280mm. I know that's not very good lens for bird / wild raise photography. But you want to know still is feasible or if I use 2 x Extender to make the 400mm autofocus lens is required for the wild life or manual focus can still operate at F8. I don't have a lot of experience in the photography of wild life that's why I wanted to know things.

    In a Word... N °

Of a 2 X teleconverter on a 70-200/4 made for a lens of 140-400/8 "effective." Due to the reduction of light reaching the AF sensors, your camera will turn off autofocus. A stronger 2 X also "costs" more loss of quality of the image due to the deterioration.

It is possible to tape on some of the electronic contacts on the focal length multiplier, so that the camera does not know it is there and always try to auto focus. However, the autofocus will be much slower and will tend to hunt much more.

In some situations, you may be able to manually update. However, effective f8 makes for a pretty weak sight, most cameras update automatic modern as you do not have some fo the features allowing the development manual, vintage cameras designed for the manual focus had in the past. Some people change to one-third of frosted glass to add functionality to support manual focus (split finder image, micro diaprisms, for example). However this requires careful work to install the screen and the display of different can affect precision measurement of the camera, especially in the incorrect Spot metering.

Addition of a lower 1.4 X teleconverter makes your lens in effect 112-280mm f5.6, who will still be updated with auto focus and will be much less loss of image quality, but not as much 'reach. If yours is a goal IS, it can reasonably be handholdable. If it is not a goal IS, you will need to watch your shutter speeds than blur carefully, probably should keep to 1/500 or more quickly to avoid the camera. Or use a tripod, as suggested by ebibgs, or at least a monopod. You also need to limit the autofocus on your camera to the central AF point only, I think.

    ebiggs1 wrote:

On your camera, the 70-200mm f4 is like a 112-320mm f4.  With a converter 1. 4 x, looking at 448mm f5.6 and th elong end.  + 400 mm should be long enough for you to get photos of some birds.  BTW, use a tripod.

While it is technically correct, citing the "crop camera lens factor" in this way may not help much, can be confusing.

The original poster has simply a 70-200mm lens which they are accustomed to using on a crop sensor camera. They would now like to double the range of this lens on their camera. Crop sensor lens incorporating conversation factor is very useful when the user goes from frame of film/full to reframe the camera or vice versa. For someone who has never used a film camera or has not used one for many years and is now completely accustomed to how behaves a lens of focal length on their device to harvest, it is a completely moot point.

But what he's basically saying that while you can add a 2 X, it is probably not a good idea for several reasons. Auto focus will work or not, with a few tips, won't work only weakly. Manual focus will be difficult. And the picture quality might take too big a hit, combining a 2 X with your goal. .

I have a 70-200/4 IS, 70-200/2.8 IS ("Mark I"), 1. 4 X II and 2 X Teleconverters II. I also have long telephoto lenses, so rarely need to add these zooms teleconverter. However if necessary I would use 1.4 X on one of them. But even if AF still work on the 70-200/2.8 + 2 X combo, I won't use it because of the amount of loss of image quality (the most recent IS of 70 - 200/2.8 Mark II and 2 X Mark III are supposed to work together better, than my older versions of each).

I use mostly 2 X on 300/2.8 and 500/4 lenses privileged where the image quality is still good. (Note: Yes, on some of my cameras 2 X 500/4 causes AF to stop working, as it would on your f4 lens, so I only use the combo on a limited basis.)

mithun_pal129... I would say the more you get a 1. 4 X and use it with your goal. See if the image quality is to your expectations. Then work to get closer to your subjects. Or bring them closer to you. Practice the techniques of stalking and to study the behaviors of your subjects to discover ways to get closer. Work in a blind and use bait (food, calls). And start saving for a lens of longer focal length.

The Canon 1.4 X II and III teleconverters are excellent. All Canon teleconverters have mated before elements that limit the lenses that they physically can be attached, but the 70-200 are among those where this is possible. Teleconverter Kenko is another that I see quite often recommended. They have two different levels of quality: a more expensive "Pro 300" version and a cheaper "MC - 4". These are currently offered in versions "DGX" whose operation is very similar to Canon teleconverters. Old Kenko teleconverters "DG" not "reported" to the camera, the camera didn't know they were there, so try to focus.  In the view of users and tests I've seen, the current Kenko Pro 300 DGX is pretty good overall of the entire image area. The MC - 4 cheaper is actually a little sharper in the Center, but not as strong in the corners and the edges of the image. Tamron and Sigma teleconverters also do, but I have little experience or knowledge of the current versions of the people.

The wildlife/bird photography is not easy. Since no matter how long a goal that you have, there are times when the subjects are just out of reach and all you can go is to sit back and enjoy the show.

These photos of small subjects with different, but close to or less than the effective focal length even lenses like your 70-200 mm + a 1. 4 X teleconverter would be on your camera...

  • Display brightness and RGB histograms at the same time on 7 d MII

How can I display brightness and RGB histograms on the screen at the same time during playback on the 7 d MII.  Page 358 of the PDF manual shows a graph of the two together under Lens/histogram information, but I've been able to display one or the other, not both.

I found the answer.  It takes a combination of the Info button and the button to display the two histograms.  In read mode, press the info button until the image and the histogram that is selected in the menu of the Play3 appear side-by-side, then use the multidirectional button(up/dn) to switch to the other the histogram.
