E709 has or n?

I bought a HP Officejet 6500 of opportunity. I printed the printer status report to know exactly which model I have that I would like to add the duplexer. But the report said just E709, it does not specify A or N. How can I tell which model I have?  It says product number CB815A.

If your device came with a unit of the duplex unit, then it should be an e709a unit.  This model does not support the duplex unit and the purchase of a unit of the duplex unit will not work on it.

You can confirm that you have an E709A unit if you open the door to the printer (the cover to access the ink).  It must be printed on a label inside the cover which model you have.

    I have three computers and domestic an OfficeJet 6500 e709 on my local network.  Everything worked well for several months until today.  Today, cannot print my two Win7 machines, but my Vista machine can still.

    I went through the center of Solution any sequence of troubleshooting and nothing fixed it.  So I tried my own diagnosis, as follows.

    1. printing of each application, I tried, I get "unable to print document."  Most said that the center of Solution is that it is due to "a mistake in the printing system."

    2. starting at the HP Toolbox on the same computer, print a test page.  This method works.  It turns out that there is a connection between the computer and the printer.  The printed test page shows "network status: Ready ', and everything else in the report seems normal.

    3. I go to the window of the printer for this printer, cancel printing failed, view the Properties window and click on "Print Test Page"...

    4.. .and see it immediately.  However, nothing comes of the printer and as little seconds later...

    It happens that my two computers are print again with success.  I don't quite know what solves the problem, and I have no idea why the problem arose in the first place, after a few years a print without problem with this Setup.

    For whatever light it can cast for others (and for me if it happens again), here's the rest of the story:

    After exhausting all the troubleshooting procedures that I could find (including flashes of heat-queue and reboot), I posted my call for help here, turned off my computer and went to bed.  The next day, after having turned all back on again, I noticed that a printer test page appeared in my output tray on the printer, and that he had been sent to one of my computers previously defective, I'll call the "desktop".  As stated in my initial post, printing a test page had been impossible before.  Then, I checked the office by printing a document.  That worked well, and the Office has worked since.

    Then I checked my other computer, the "laptop", and unfortunately it still couldn't print.  Looking for differences between the two configurations, I noticed that the center of complete Solution has been installed on the desktop but not on laptop - laptop has had only the drivers.  So I took to install the Solution Center.  Long story short, the installation process is not well, when the printer is already recognized by Windows and the drivers are already there.  So I finished unistalling the printer and then installed solutions and here Center on the laptop very well printed.

  • Install HP 6500 E709 problems

    I installed my new HP 6500 E709 without problems on my laptop. Can I wireless connect and print without problem. I am now trying to install the software on my desktop, so I can use it to print to the same wireless printer. I keep getting installation errors. Here's my set-up.

    The laptop is running Vista and when I installed the printer I did as a wireless and connected the USB installation when you are prompted. As I said it works fine.

    The desktop computer running Windows XP and is wired connected via a cable to my wireless router. When I try to install on the desktop I choose wireless installation (which can be a mistake, but I want to use wireless) starts the installation he actually finds my printer during installation and asks me to click on the printer, if I want to install this one and I don't choose it. As the installation progresses he says he can't see my printer and ask me to be sure to unblock TCP 9500 and 9290 TCP ports and try again or continue to install and connect later. I chose to connect later and continue. I then get all kinds of fatal errors more away in the installation and he guides me in the recovery process and sends me an error report. The report basically just said everything restart and try again, or try to reload the software. What I did twice.

    Although the installation says to open the ports. Can I connect the printer to the desktop computer by typing in the IP 192.168.1.3 addess and communicate perfectly with the printer (from the desktop). I also run a test ping from the office. (run, cmd, ping 192.168.1.3 - t) and it works very well with 0% packet loss. So I do not understand why it is said that he can not communicate during installation.

    If anyone has any idea what is the problem? I am doing a wired USB installation? (I don't want to ruin the connection to the laptop's wireless and will not be wired desktop.)

    PrintDoc thanks for the advice. I have solved this problem by downloading the latest drivers and a different approach. Although I have always received the communication error that said that he did not see my printer. (even if it was and I could access it by typing the IP address) this time the installation I chose the "ignore the error and continue" instead of "continue and I'll fix it later."  Don't know what the problem was but installation continued without error this time and I was able to print correctly.     Windows 7 64-bit.  At worked initially, but not since. Only one option in the two-sided printing options is manual Duplex. Can you help me?

    Prior to what I have below, are others who use the same duplex capable device?

    If they can't, it may that the device does not recognize the duplex unit.  If they can, it seems isolated to your system.

    I have been looking to try to find, and easy way to get the version of the driver you have installed.  I can't find.  There is a possibility that remove and then reinstall the driver, did not leave the driver in an ok. State.

    One thing you could try is once again uninstall and download the latest version of the driver from HP.

    Remove all the SW using Add Remove programs.

    The way I was told to remove completely the Win7 driver: (other operating systems are similar)

    In devices and printers, right click on the printer and select remove device.

    Then open Notepad. and do file-> Print

    Then right click on the box to select Printer printers on white space.

    You get a different set of options, select Server properties.

    Click on the driver tab

    Select the OfficeJet 6500 driver and then click Delete.

    Select remove driver and Driver Package, and then click OK.  Click Yes, you really want to do this.  You will probably get another window with a button Delete.  Click on delete and other pop-up, click OK.

    Reboot your system.

    Also, I came across this method to remove a company OfficeJet driver.

    At this point, you can download and reinstall the driver.  The driver for the 6500 (E709) and a 6500 (E710) do not seem to be the same driver.   I would like to check from your screenshot said 6500 (E709), but the station yelled the 6500 has.

    It really feels at this point as a driver install error and while installs it the driver has not been able to determine that a duplexer has been installed.

    At this point, the only other option rather than using the latest version of the driver is to see if you can locate the original disc supplied with the printer.  If you can install using this drive after your have deleted the driver as described above.

    I have a strange behavior with the dock in macOS Sierra, especially with the "System Preferences" icon After you open the system preferences application, the icon was his suddenly replaced by another icon (see image below). It looks like a Doc App icon?

    Depending on what you mean by "voice command", either:

    Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

    Settings / Siri / OFF

    As for your use of the battery, you can check what app pulls most of its use in the settings / battery.  A new version of the app is sometimes problematic, not necessarily iOS or iPhone.  If you see a unusual % of use of a particular application, or force-to leave it removal/reinstalling it or remove it until an update comes.  If anything seems unusual, it might be a problematic installation of iOS, in which case, you could backup your iPhone and restore it:

    Open the sparsebundle in Finder and keep open the subfolders until you get to the backup of each separate hard drive...
