ECS BIOS

Computer has no network adapters. Do not see the Realtek LAN or Intel wireless adapters. The current bios settings and any networking has been enabled and the ports. Initially I thought that this could be a problem with OS. I was going to recreate the image on the computer through a network boot. Under Startup network boot options was not available. I tried to remove battery and switch off, remove RAM and reinstalling it. If anyone has had experience with a question like this your help would be appreciated.

I am employed by a medium-sized school district and I saw a lot of things over the years, but this is a first.

Unless, of course, the motherboard is faulty.

Thank you very much for your answer. We found that it was still under warranty and has returned to the factory for repair. Once again thank you.

  • Questions about the settings of the BIOS of Satellite M30X

    Hello everyone!

I spent several hours today trying to find a way to make my Satellite M30X start automatically every morning so that I can use it as an alarm clock.
Generally the best way to do this is using the "wake on LAN" or a similar service that offers almost every PC and which can be activated in the BIOS menu.
However, it seems that there is no wake-up option in the menu of the BIOS of the M30X at all, I would say that users have almost no influence on the majority of the important parameters.
So if anyone knows how to turn any mode wake up my laptop, let me know!

Furthermore, I just updated the BIOS to 1.90 but nothing has changed on the menu itself.

    Hello

I searched a bit, but there is no possibility to do so.
If there is no WOL option in the BIOS, you will not be able to put it in the BIOS.

But wait; Some LAN cards contains an option in LAN card properties.
You can access it by the Device Manager-> ECS-> Lan card (right click)-> properties

  • Upgarde E4600 cpu on ECS 945GCT-HM motherboard

    Hi guys,.

I have a Compaq SR5271AP desktop computer with motherboard ECS 945GCT-HM. Recently, I received a processor core E4600 2 and I was wondering if it can be installed on the motherboard.

I searched the web but not found an exact answer. I know that this pc, motherboard and processor is a bit OLD but I really hope that someone can help me... Thank you very much!!!

    Hello:

From what you have posted above, there should be no need to update the BIOS from your version is 07/04/2008 and is the same version.

You will not be able to update the BIOS using W7. There are too many risks since it was written for Vista, it will be trash of your PC.

I don't think there is only a BACK based flash option with this update of the BIOS, so it must be done in Windows using a supported operating system.

  • Satellite 4070CDS and upgrade the BIOS.

    Hello
I have an old Satellite 4070CDS
    S4070CDS/4.3 (Europe) PAS407EYV-DU95

My first question is, where I can see what version of BIOS is running?
I tried all kinds of keys at the start, but all I get is the Toshiba logo, and then the operating system starts.

Second... I want to update BIOS, but I can't find this model on websites of Toshiba.
It is made in Germany, but even the German site, does not show this particular model.

The problem is... the drive is dying and I might need to replace it in a few moments.
So I would like to know if the current BIOS can handle larger disks (40Gig and more).

Can someone help me out here?
    Thanks in advance.

To enter the BIOS settings press just ECS after switching on the laptop.

  • Cannot enter BIOS on Win 7 HPE with American Megatrends BIOS

Although others have asked how to access the BIOS Setup interface, the answers have not solve my problem. so I write another similar question.

According to the subject line, I can't access the BIOS Setup interface during startup.  My system runs Windows 7 HPE.  The equipment includes an elite group of ECS motherboard that came with BIOS of American Megatrend chip version 4.6.5 and is dated 05/03/2012.  I have never flashed or otherwise updating of the BIOS chip, but I could bring up the graphical user interface and change the options.  I did quite recently in fact.

When I power fail system and/or entering the cycle of rebooting from the button start, the system stops and then begins to start and displays the start of American Megatrends screen.  Press DEL repeatedly has no impact on the continuation of start-up.  He proceeds as if the keyboard were not active and the system did not, therefore, the interruption of the keyboard...  Because the splash screen also mentions F2 and F7, I tried these interruptions as well, nothing helps.  The boot process has continued.

I searched the web until my fingers are simple bumps and can't find anything really useful.  I read and reread mother ECS card manual without finding anything.  I found a FAQ on the web page of American Megatrends, which addressed problems to access the BIOS with Win 8, which suggests that the change of power options would be effective. However, these referenced power options do not exist in my win 7 system HPE.  Yes, Power Options are available from the Control Panel, but the individual options are not the same to win 8.

FWIW, I pulled all the hard disks internal power cables to see if I could access the BIOS interface.  I was able to do so; However, without BONES, the keyboard is not active so no keyboard interrupts can be issued.

I would be grateful for any advice on how to influence of post-processing to slow down and make sure that any issue the keyboard interrupt is seen and followed.

    Good evening

my friend told me that my performance problems could be due to my BIOS being outdated, so I went and checked my BIOS was last updated was in 2007, so I guess it's time to get the latest version.

The problem is that I can't find a list of version updates or BIOS for my motherboard because I don't know where to look for him.

  • Update the BIOS

    Hello

can someone tell me the Bios updates for my machine?

I need one that is more aggressive on material resources. The appropriate drivers for the GPU would be nice as well. Reading from data bases of Geekbench, this machine is never more than a pretty paperweight to research.

    Thanks for reading

    Details in the following way:

    Motherboard: Apple Inc. Mac-B809C3757DA9BB8D iMac17, 1

    GPU: AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB

    macpraxis,

You confuse a Mac to a Windows window. Mac do not have a bios but they have firmware, if there is any necessary updates to your machine, they are available in the software updates which is located in the Mac App Store. If nothing comes, while your system is up to date and should be left alone.

If you encounter any problem, perhaps to let us know what it is would open the way for getting help.

  • Clocked at 20 degrees warmer since putting on 3.87 Rev A Bios Update on Z420 Workstation

    I have a question:

Not too long ago I put the Bios Update on A Rev 3.87 was considered to be as critical an update on my workstation Z420 (running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit), and lately I've found that the CPU idling at about 20 degrees more hot than before.  I used to hear creaking noises coming from the computer I learned normally come circuits on the motherboard power delivery, but as long as I heard those CPU would be on average around 50 degrees C at idle.  I hear these noises and now the CPU is on average around 70-75 degrees C at idle.  Not sure what the connection is.  HP performance Advisor tells me I'm in the normal range, but I want to just make sure that with programs like Autodesk Maya there, she become too hot and stop the machine.   I don't know what the temp high-end is considered maximum security.  This change could have due to the update of the Bios?

Thank you for your response and suggestions.  I check in my BIOS power management settings has been developed the extended mode, but the temperature has always hovered around 70-78 degrees at idle.  I checked Intel spec for this (E5 - 1650 6-core xeon) processor, clocked at 3.2 Ghz by heart, and although he said nothing on the TMax, he mentioned that the TCase (which he defined as the maximum temperature allowed integrated processor heat sink (IHS)) was 64 degrees Celsius.  Now my temperature of the case, according to my HP Performance Advisor version 1.7.7517.0 is only about 24 degrees C, but I put my fan a little higher CPU, about 2009 rpm speed.  This makes a little more noise, but my CPU temp has dropped to about 49 °.  "" Before the change of the fan speed has been slightly more than 1300 RPM while the Advisor I have always said that it is in the range "normal".  Is it good to get the speed of the CPU fan like that or do I have to go a little lower?

  • All BIOS options are disabled / grayed out

I have 8770w with HP ProtectTools active EliteBook and just to have on the security of the TPM secure. I rebooted and tried to access the BIOS, my password is accepted, but virtually all of the options are disabled. Any idea what's going on here?
    Is it the TPM chip?

In fact, the solution was to open a session in the BIOS as a guest and then configure a BIOS Admin password. Thank you post that.

It is odd that the default user does not receive the Admin of the BIOS rights.
