Edit to beat within nested sequences

Hi all

I have a master Edition with shorter sequences in it.

If I have my music on the main sequence, how can I change the content into smaller sequences at the pace if, during their opening, I do not see the waveform?

Please, find screen 2 photos below.

Ideally, I think that there is a way to change the order in PLACE, where I can still see the waveform of the music.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

You can cut and then a replacement clutch and add effects.

Adobe Premiere Pro help. Edit sequences in the Source monitor

    the link above should explain

  • Cut the nested sequence stops playing in first

Since the installation of the latest version of Adobe first Pro CC (2015.0.2 (version 9.0.2 (6))), it presents a coherent reading problem. After about 1 minute of editing with a nested sequence, first does not allow me to read anything of a sequence or in the source monitor (I also tired to open many projects without success).

The only partial solution is to restart first change a sequence returned instead of a nested sequence.

Is a similar problem that arises when the preferences are set to the incorrect sound card, but change the audio settings does not fix it this time, even in trying two different audio devices. I also checked permissions have been set to read and write and I tried to roll back first to an earlier version, but the problem persists. I drove back to CC 9.0.0 build still having the problem.

It is a topical issue because it is a workstation company, and projects have deadlines.

    All reviews are much appreciated,

Well, I finally found a work around. The sequence, I've been nesting must have been corrupted somehow and that froze until the creation whenever I tried to draw in another sequence by nesting.

    THE FIX:

-Copy all the contents of the original sequence into a new sequence (the sequence of as corrupt origin label)

-The new sequence in another sequence with desired parameters of the nests.

It's the fine cut for now.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Why my nested sequence is superimposing the effects?

    Hey everybody,

So after I fix the colors my master clips, I sync them, remove the audio not desired, then nest them. BUT in the nested sequence, it seems that all the layer of video tracks video effects throwing my nested sequence in a horrible color landscape of overexposed or more colorful clips! Can someone help me?

    Mike Diaz

    1. create a sequence corresponding to your support.

    2. Add the clips, synchronization manually.

    3. create a second sequence corresponding to your support.

    4. nest the first sequence in the second sequence.

    5. right click this sequence of nested, then choose multicamera > activate.

    6 change now.

Once you're done editing, add effects cc for clips in the first sequence, created in step 2.

  • Sequences can inherit the nested sequences chapter markers?

I am in my project of edition about 2 hours of video. For that things remain manageable and being able to do fast makes it partial, I have divided the project into several parts. Each part is edited in a clean sequence. Finally I combine parts by adding them in the form of sequences embedded in my master sequence. The problem with this approach is that I can't get the creation to inherit the nested sequences chapter markers. For example, in my 03 sequence, I put a chapter marker.

    sequence.png

When I put this sequence in my master sequence, chapter markers will not appear and it is also not be counted when I export the main movie to a DVD:

    master-sequence.png

I could of course place the markers on the main sequence, but I would rather their place in the sequence of the child for two reasons:

    • Markers and edited scenes would be in one place.
    • If I choose to re - edit some parts of the sequence, I won't forget to update the position of the mark.

I'd love to hear your ideas on how I could do this. If my work flow is poor/ineffective, I'd love to hear about that, too

You can do all your editing in different sequences and bring them a master.

But I leave the markers to the end of the Master.

  • Nested sequence: after a break, audio repeats of previous clip

Summary: In a situation of the nested sequence, I get short audio repetition of an element of clip just before a haircut.

    Context:

    • First Pro CC, the most recent version at the time of writing (7.0.1 (105), Windows 7 (64-bit).)
    • Structure: I have a sync sequence (sequence source multicam) consisting of XDCAM-EX (largely inspired by the AVCHD file structure) and Z1 (plain m2t files).  Derivative of / depends on who's a multicam editing sequence, where I cut between camera angles.  While the sequence is itself nested in a master sequence (showing selected excerpts from the performance).
    • Reference: Multicam editing sequence includes (among others) of a rock band "big finish" followed by some applause.  I had a Cup in the audio (only) of the element in the sequence of nested, to activate the audio for the applause to be normalized regardless of the performance of the band.  To smooth the join, I added a melted transition chained on the Cup.  Nicer in principle that the use of volume envelopes.
    • When I play the original recording or the multicam sync-sequence or sequence multicam editing, everything looks and seems fine.

    Problem:

    • During the main sequence is read (in preview or clip exported/coded) I hear the great finish, then the applause starts, then after 2 seconds "big finish" is heard once more, but the lowest audio.
    • This effect occurs whenever I used the same technique of cutting/standardize/fade chained in the editing multicam (nested) sequence.  I also met there in previous projects in first CS6.
    • If I delete the crossfade the problem goes away...  Any type of crossfade audio is used.

Is this a known issue? and there at - it a quick fix? (other than the envelopes to the place or copy/patching the audio up to master level)

I do this kind of thing myself and have not run into this problem.  Try to make the audio in the sequence of Cup and master.

  • opposite of ctrl-shift-f of the nested sequence

A position of playhead to in a nested sequence (say, a multi-camera edit sequence), I can use 'ctrl-shift-f' to take me to the same images (probably a playhead position) different in the source sequence. It allows me to find the source.

Q: is there anyway to do the reverse? I want to start in the source sequence, then find where this film the layer source is used in a nested sequence. Is it possible to do in the body of the cs6?

And yet, there is a "hidden" feature that does exactly this. If I place markers in the source sequence, they appear in the nested sequence. It is so easy to match the two. Here's what I mean:

First of all, in my source sequence, I place a couple of markers with the button "m":

Then when I look at my sequence nested (in this case, my Multi-Edit sequence) I see markers in the calendar that does not explicitly place there, that exactly match the markers I placed in the source sequence:

Is this cool or what? Saves me a lot of time and frustration. These Adobe engineers... very good code, body cs6. Pretty darn good.

  • Can a jump in time in the nested sequence

I have two sequences, SEQ - A and B - SEQ and SEQ - B is included (nested) in SEQ.-a.

If I'm watching SEQ - has and and find some point I need to change something in SEQ - B, how can I go to SEQ - B at the point in time I have look in SEQ - A? How will I know "what time is" SEQ - b? Looks like I should be able to see that - it seems very relevant.

I hope I explained it correctly. Basically, the CTI in SEQ - A may not always reflect the same point in time in SEQ - B. I can't imagine that I had left to guess where I should go to a specific edition in SEQ - B.

I know that there must be a way.

    Paul

When you get to the point where you want to dive SEQ - a, just press SHIFT + T (the shortcut for reveal nested sequence). You must have the targeted tracks, but who will lead you in SEQ - B at the corresponding time.

  • Nested sequence does that partially

I am editing in Premiere CS4 with a card Matrox RT - X 2 on a 64 bit Vista system.  I am trying to nest several sequences into one.  Unfortunately, when I nested sequences, parts of some sequences are just black - even if the clips play very well in their own individual sequences.  I checked the sequence settings to ensure that they match and nothing seems to fix this by cut and paste clips in each sequence to where I wanted them nested.  Nested sequences appear to be black for most during compositions AE (who play very well in AE and the AE render queue .avi).  The problem is ESPECIALLY made AE .avi files, but not exclusively.  Some of the black parts of the nested sequences are non - AE, but usually have more than one layer at these points (for example, title, etc.).

'Put and collage of clips' works for now, but I would like to be able to nest sequences on future projects.  Any ideas?

    I appreciate your help!

You can it replicate without Matrox?

  • Read command line arguments to TestStand sequence start, moving within the sequence

Start a sequence by using a batch file and add command line arguments. Example: "MySequence.seq Arg1.

Now, within the sequence I want to read this first (and another) argument "Arg1".

There is a stage in the ActiveX for that, giving a type (object reference) channels, see screenshot.

Question: How to use this reference to read the argument?

Honestly I don't think that you are using it correctly.  I think that your application in your UI Manager must handle this.  However, to answer your question:

According to the TestStand help CommandLineArguments property is of type string.  It comes to aid of TestStand as well:

    Channels
A collection of strings. You can get a reference to the collection of the ApplicationMgr.CommandLineArguments property, the ExpressionEdit.GetValidEvaluationTypes and ExpressionEdit.SetValidEvaluationTypes methods and the ApplicationMgr.ProcessUserCommandLineArguments event.

    Properties
    Count (read-only)
    Agenda

    Methods
    Add
    Claire
    Insert
    Delete

Looks like you can use activeX not use Count or properties of the element to retrieve a single argument.

    Hope this helps,

  • Is it possible to run a search/change on all the steps within a sequence?

Is it possible to apply a find/change to all the steps within a sequence.  For example, if you want all instances of '27_' to "59_", is it possible in TestStand 4.2.1?

Have you tried hitting "Ctrl" + "F" on your keyboard?  This is what I use all the time and you can find/replace with it.

  • Is it possible to link the CTI to a nested sequence?

I have a nested sequence, and I want to change the position of the keyframes based on what is on the main sequence. I'd like to be able set up the ICT in the main sequence, then go to the nested sequence and have the ICT at the same position, then make the change.

The way I did it is to calculate the time elapsed since the beginning of the nest in the main sequence and then go to the nested sequence and the displacement of the ICT at that precise moment. Shortly.

Is it possible to link the CTI to a nested sequence? i.e. everywhere where ICT appears in the main sequence, when you go to the nested sequence, ICT is in the same position.

    I am running CS6.

I can't think of a way, but it would be a good request for future versions:

  • Is there a command that will take a nested sequence and break in it is separated from the pieces, as they were before, he become nested?

Is there a command that will take a nested sequence and break in it is separated from the pieces, as they were before, he become nested? I think I've seen this once iin training but I don't remember and can't find it.

I have roughly the same open close and music track for 4 shows and I hate having to create these same elements to see all four the separately.

    Thank you

  • Solution-alternatives-tips for multi-audio export in a nested sequence?

Like many, I mounted my final model as a nested sequence. Several, but not all the subsequences contain a mixture of stereo audio tracks and mono source (including: some isolated from the channels of dialogue, layers, sound effects, etc...). Unfortunately, as I just found on the hard, it seems that exporting OMF or AAF in a nested sequence transfers only the tracks visible IN the NESTED sequence ONLY and ignores all other audio tracks of original sequences (void). And I said that this is the norm for OMF/AAF.  Wow! It sucks!

I hope it's one of those annoying weird things where everyone but me knows the best way to get the audio tracks, went to their audio favorite finishing DAW. Mine is Logic Pro X.

    Appreciate it. Thank you!

What happens if you UN - nest it. Like taking this sequence in the project bin after selecting the button "display nests as the individual sequences and more words ' in the panel mounting - take this sequence nested of the location of the project and place it on the timeline where he opens the video layers.

Now, if this is not export as an OMF - perhaps because she always links to the nest - what to say to another sequence, copying stacked above video layers (layers video open upwards) and copy the audio layers.

Other then that, the command "flatten" allows in some circumstances - but even more with blocking sequences.
