• Impossible to edit PDFS with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC

  One of my users try to modify a PDF file that does not currently have recognizable text. I understand that if nothing are recognized that you can't modify it until you run OCR.

  Although my agreement with Adobe Acrobat DC after choosing 'Edit PDF' Acrobat will automatically recognize the text on the first page to make it editable, even if for my user after choosing 'Edit PDF' they receive this error message:

  

  If I try the same process with the same document Adobe Acrobat Pro DC program automatically recognize the first page and make it editable.

  So my question is: is this problem that may occur because we are using Adobe Acrobat Standard? I tried to look at your site in order to know what are the features do not come with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC, but could not find information on OCRing records automatically.

  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

  Modification of the functionality of scanned documents is not available for Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Standard DC versions 11.x.

  You have to upgrade to "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC" to use this feature.

• Set the default font formatting for the "Add text" content editing tool (Adobe Acrobat Standard XI)

  We have recently updated for Adobe Acrobat Standard XI.

  Our users take system generated a PDF file and customize them by adding images and additional text. Generally, they always use specific fonts when adding their text formatting options.

  Unfortunately, we have not been able to find a way to set the default value for font formatting options when you use content editing tool "add text". You're still stuck with the Minion Pro police to 12 points.

  Therefore, whenever the user adds a new text, they must select the text they have just added and then change the font options in the pane of formatting content editing tools. It would be really useful to be able to define the police by default once the formatting options and added new text would use these settings.

  We've added the feature in Acrobat DC to pick up the nearest police to the neighbor during "Add text", as a user would add text that would be in the style of the existing content, and that the replication manually existing values is a tedious exercise. However, once the user changes the police or its size, Acrobat remembers the changes for the rest of the editing of the document session. That works for you?

  You also asked for a default font and the setting of all of the documents and Acrobat sessions, user defined manually. Is this correct? If so, unfortunately, is not possible at present, but we can grasp this feedback and evaluate it for our future releases.

  I buy a printer and it came bundled with the standard edition of acrobat v8, but when I finally use it and install it, I realize it was for another language other then English?

  so its not able use. I need the English version Setup file to acrobat v8 standard edition can someone please help?

  Hold down the CTRL key when lauching Acrobat.

  It should give you a language selection box, depending on the language that exactly, English can be one of them.

  I have a scenario where a client is running Adobe Acrobat Standard Xi on a Citrix/Terminal Server.

  Now, they want to install Adobe DC Pro on the same server, which should be used by a single user.

  When I run the Adobe Pro DC installation it calls telling me that it is not recommended to have these programs installed at the same time on the same machine. But there is an option to choose "ignore."

  But I'm still not sure how to progress.

  What is the disadvantage of having this two programs installed?

  the downside is

  1. xi acrobat probably will not open (but it might) and, if this is the case, can have a variety of problems such as not being able to edit or save a file.

  2 acrobat CC can (but probably won't) have a problem opening.

• Acrobat Standard of XI works only with Windows 10

  I have Adobe Acrobat Standard XI and since I upgraded to Windows 10 I can no longer edit or work on any of my files.  The program freezes and all I get is a message "no answer."  I checked the updates, and it says I have the latest update?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

• Acrobat Standard XI stops working during operation

  I use standard Acrobat XI on a machine Windows 7 PRO SP1 and while using the program I get the error message Acrobat stopped working, and the program closes.  I restart and it works very well for a while, then the same thing happens again.

  Please, go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.dll and then move Acrobat.dll file on the desktop and then repair Acrobat Standard XI of the control panel.

  Now start Acrobat & check if it still crashes or not.

  Yesterday I bought adobe Acrobat Standard DC.  I went to the line, followed by the guidelines, the redemption code and said that I was ready to go.  I have not received a serial number.  I tried to download and could not.  I tried several times.  I followed several suggestions and still couldn't managed to load.  I managed to load a 30 days trial edition.  Now what?

  You can use it on up to 2 machines, as long as you are the user (and not someone else).

  And Yes Acrobat Standard can edit PDF files and convert them to and from the PDF.

  There is no direct option to remove the names of the PDF "in the recently visited list, however you can set the preferences and change the documents in the list recently used 0 or any other number according to your requirement.

  Go in Edition > Preferences > categories > Documents > Documents defined in the list recently used for a many appropriate as per your convenience. Save changes so that whenever you open Acrobat once again, these parameters do not change.

  The second option is as follows. This method is for Acrobat 10, but you can follow the steps and see if it solves your problem.

  1. Open regedit
  2. Go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\10.0\AVGeneral\cRecentFiles"
  3. Delete the subkeys that you find here to clear history
  4. In the left pane, right-click on "cRecentFiles" & select 'permissions '.
  5. Click on "Advanced".
  6. Uncheck the box «Include permissions inheritable...» "& when the dialog box appears, click on 'Add '.
  7. Select the entry for your username in the list & click 'delete '.
  8. Click 'OK' twice & you're good to go

  Almost everything about their is different, except that the two can do and combine PDF files, and convert it to Excel/Word (but do not expect too much of it).

  Acrobat Standard runs on your computer. It can make PDF files from any application that can print. It can combine PDF files, with forms to fill out (limited), VERY limited editing, security, sign, add annotations, much more. It replaces Adobe Reader.

  PDF pack is a service on the Adobe web site, limited to 100 MB files. Does not replace the Adobe Reader software. Fact just what he claims and no more.
