Edition of Start up folder__
How can I get to the folder on XP start to change (remove) some programs?
Two places to look.
Start | All programs | Startup folder. Remove what you don't want.
Start | Run and type:
Msconfig
OK and go to the Startup Tab. Bruce Hagen MS - MVP [Mail]

It's probably a left over the malware registry entry. Follow the instructions below carefully.
Restart the computer in safe mode with network. Click the second link below and download Malwarebytes. Update Malwarebytes and perform a full scan. Choose to quarantine found nothing. Once complete, click the third link below and download Superantispyware Portable. Run a full scan quarantined found anything yet. Vista taskbar has changed when I edited the Start Up Programs
I edited my programs from starting with msconfig to speed up my computer. I tried to not disable the programs that I recognized as useless or that there are 'arrested' said status so I knew that I didn't need them. However, when I rebooted my computer my Vista taskbar and accompanying effects vista are dumbed down for a classic look.
I already checked the properties, and is not the problem. As far as I can tell that my NVidia is fine I missed that in the boot options. I think I turned off a Windows program that kept my Vista from the normal search.
Any advice? I would rather not system restore because I would always go back and change my start and maybe go back to the same program. Does anyone know the programs that combine with Vista?
Hello
That you disable?
A process of elimination should work - reactivate 1/2 - If the problem is corrected then disble 1/2
-If the problem has not been corrected, then try the other 1/2. Or use system restore
and start over by removing only 1 at a time - or a few and so on.I hope this helps.

editing a start date of information from another table
Hello all;
I have the sample data below
So what I'm trying to do is basically update the start date in t1, using the information from table t2create table t1 ( id varchar2(200), begin_date date, ending_date date ); create table t2 ( id varchar2(200), period_number number(30), period varchar2(200) ); insert into t1 (id, begin_date, ending_date) values ('A', sysdate, to_date('01/02/2020', 'MM/DD/YYYY')); insert into t1 (id, begin_date, ending_date) values ('B', sysdate, to_date('03/31/2011', 'MM/DD/YYYY') ); insert into t1 (id, begin_date, ending_date) values ('C', sysdate, to_date('01/20/2011', 'MM/DD/YYYY')); insert into t2 (id, period_number, period) values ('A', 2, 'Years'); insert into t2 (id, period_number, period) values ('B', 3, 'Months'); insert into t2 (id, period_number, period) values ('C', 4, 'Days');
for example, A
start date should be start date = 01/02/2020-2 years = 01/02/2018
for C
start date should be start date = 20/01/2011 - 4 = 01/16/2011Thanks for the sample data, it makes life easier.
Something like this:
SQL> UPDATE t1 2 SET begin_date = (SELECT CASE WHEN t2.period = 'Years' THEN ADD_MONTHS(t1.ending_date, t2.period_number * -12) 3 WHEN t2.period = 'Months' THEN ADD_MONTHS(t1.ending_date, t2.period_number * -1) 4 ELSE t1.ending_date - t2.period_number END 5 FROM t2 6 WHERE t1.id = t2.id) 7 WHERE EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM t2 8 WHERE t1.id = t2.id); 3 rows updated. SQL> SELECT * FROM t1; ID BEGIN_DATE ENDING_DATE ---------- ----------- ----------- A 02-JAN-2018 02-JAN-2020 B 31-DEC-2010 31-MAR-2011 C 16-JAN-2011 20-JAN-2011
If t2 is unique, you could also do it as an editable join view using a structure of similar cases.

Can I turn off 10g Express Edition to start when Windows XP starts?
I am a student who has installed 10g Express Edition on my laptop for my classes.
That works really well. Wonderful product.
However, I only use it twice a week.
Is there a way I can disable auto starts 10 g XE when that I start my
Windows XP system? While I am able to go to "Start Database" when I want to
to use the product and run it manually? It would be great.
My laptop is maxed out at 2 GB of RAM and I'm holding off buying a new
PC for a while.
Thanks for any help!Either go to the Services applet and disable auto-start
or in a DOS box

Windows xp home edition cannot start.
Hello I have an emachines 270 and loading to the top it says sorry for the onconvience, but windows does not successfully start a hardware or software change might have caused this and it remains on this page and also among the reboot for pc cd is broken
A lot of recovery options require you to enter the Bios and make sure that booting from a CD or floppy disk, is set to boot from the hard drive. They are not started by loading Windows, they run outside any Windows environment. If you cannot start your machine in this way can be unservicable and need repair or replacement.
See if you can borrow an XP CD and load the Recovery Console.
You can use them to load the Recovery Console?

See if you can get your hands on a BartPE CD from this link. You might be able to use BartPE (a stand-alone XP mini on a CD and run from the bootable CD) which includes scanners virus via plugins and also the program ChkDsk.

How to plan the CREATE statement (not MERGER-edit) without start/end of PL/SQL
I have dozens of instructions MERGE (also Create and Drop statements) that I want to run every morning.
I can do without this help:
1. the windows task scheduler (I don't like having to change my password) or relying on my machine to run at midnight
2 convert the "Execute Immediate" instructions statements within a PL/SQL block?
Ideally, I would like to put in place a procedure, but can't seem to find away around doing without the begin/end blocks.
We are running Oracle 10 g.
Thank you

It looks like a GTT would be ideal for this. Non-recurring Yes:
CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE f_pi_sequ_list ( pi_seq
) On commit delete rows; Then, your script would become:
INSERT INTO f_pi_sequ_list SELECT pp_pi_sequ AS pi_sequ FROM f_pat_present WHERE pp_sequ >= &min_pp_sequ AND pp_sequ <= &max_pp_sequ GROUP BY pp_pi_sequ; MERGE INTO f_patient_index dst USING (SELECT * FROM f_patient_index@REDC WHERE pi_sequ IN (SELECT pi_sequ FROM f_pi_sequ_list)) src ON (DST.PI_SEQU = SRC.PI_SEQU) WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE SET big long list WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN INSERT big long list VALUES big long list; COMMIT;
I doubt that the indexes on the table of the single column contributes everything, so you could probably do without it.
After validation, the TWG will be empty, so the next time you need to use it, simply to make the insertion. If you will use the same list of values in the other queries as part of your script, change delete lines to preserve the lines, then the data will remain as long your session is active, or that you explicitly remove the lines.

How to use Mvware Workstation to open BigInsight Quick Start edition
Hi all
I downloaded IBM edition quick start in Vmware format BigInsight (specifically the file is iibi2120_QuickStart_Single_VMware.vmdk).
I tried it opens via Winzip but it says I need to download a player vmdk. I went to the site and he suggested me to download the Vmware worstation. So I donwloaded the 3 files (Portal Workspace VMware 2.0.0 customers of office workspace of VMware, VMware Workspace for Windows). I'm now bide understand how the use of these as I tried uncompressing the Big Insight file again without success.
Nobody knows how to help?
I would really appreciate it.
Thank you very much
RedTobyNone of these products you mention are actually of VMware Workstation for Windows. You can also use the free VMware Player. What you downloaded is a virtual disk file, not a virtual machine complete... but you can easily create a virtual machine and direct him to use the virtual disk file you downloaded, rather than create a new empty virtual disk (by default). You will want to use the custom mode when you create a new virtual machine, not the wizard!

Listening port Oracle 11 g Enterprise edition will not start
Hi good morning all, I am a newbie. My interlocutor of oracle11g Enterprise edition cannot start, I tested the status of Auditor, I got information like this:
LSNRCTL > status
Connection to (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC) (KEY = EXTPROC1521)))
AMT-12541: TNS:no listener
AMT-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

Windows 64-bit error: 2: no such file or directory
Connection to (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST=localhost) (PORT = 1521)))
AMT-12541: TNS:no listener
AMT-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
AMT-00511: no listener
Windows 64-bit error: 61: unknown error
I installed my oracle 11g enterprise edition only once with success, and I've never uninstalled it. The problem was strange, the day before yesterday that everything worked well, just yesterday morning after I started my computer, then I went to our services in order to start OracleserviceORCL, at the same time I noticed that the listener was not starting. Once I start the listener, it will automaticlly "stop". I couldn't understand why, it was really really frustrated. I googled a lot, but I have some information, but none of them give me a clear answer. I don't know how and what to do.
I use developer sql to access a remote database account, but not my own Oracle database account. I can still access my data back, it means that my oracle database is always good. What happened to the listener? What should I do next? Please help me. Thanks to all in advance and happy Thanksgiving!
BTW, my operating system is windows 7, 64 bit.Your welcome.

Satellite P500 and eSATA slowdown system and start
Hello
To connect an external drive eSATA system immediately slows to a crawl. A boot would take longer than 30 minutes (not waited so he can start windows) and the drive never shows up when it is plugged since within windows.I have a satellite P500 (PSPGSA - 01 G 003) with Win 7 x 64 and 2.9 (latest) BIOS.
I did a little reading in what the problem might be and have:
Most of the tips are for "esata disks must be connected before starting for them to be recognized", but then startup is so slow that I can not get into Windows.
Tried this IDE and back to AHCI in the BIOS.
Considered "looking for new hardware' in Win7 after having connected the drive/turn on.
Insured AHCI was enabled through the registry.
Disk management - check the player never appears.
Tried downgrading the chip set driver (later). To disconnect the cable from the computer immediately accelerating upward.
EDIT: Just started in ein7 with the drive connected but it was not acknowledged.
All thoughts are welcomed.
Thank you.

Hello
S far away I know that the eSATA port supports a hot swap function. This means that you can connect the eSATA drive to the laptop after windows system started.
Have you installed the latest Intel Management Engine Interface driver? (different chipset drive!)
Remember also that this driver AHCI in Windows 7 can be activated via the registry.
YPU may modify the following two values of subkey to 0:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-System \CurrentControlSet------Services------Msahci
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ FAT32\ CurrentControlSet-Services-IastorV -
I use windows XP SP3 32 - bit edition. Start my computer is very slow and even after turning it on, it does not recognize the commands more than 2 minutes. My computer RAM is 1 GB. I also used the system configuration utility to see what programs open at startup, but there were so many that I didn't know which ones to stop and who not to help, please.
After installation clean Windows XP, the problem is resolved and the startup of the computer is now very well. Thanks to all who helped.

C:\Eclipse\plugins\net. RIM.ejde\vmTools > FledgeHook
Make FledgeHook every time I start a Simulator or can I start FledgeHook at the beginning of my day and let it run without having to start and stop each session Simulator?
Edit: I started the Eclipse Simulator and run FledgeHook from a command prompt and it runs for about 10 seconds and then closes - I can watch it in the Windows task-> process manager.
Is it supposed to do?
Hi Todd. Thanks for the clarification and sorry for be not more detailed in my earlier answers.
As you indicated, there are essentially two ways to close the Simulator: out of in the Simulator itself (output, x-button at the top, etc.); Select disconnect from the Eclipse.
In the first scenario, Eclipse closing the Simulator itself, is never notified the fence on win7 64-bit, and if the process is around. Where the need for a FledgeHook be executed until we can make the plugin do that for you.
In the second scenario, when you click Disconnect in Eclipse, Eclipse 'knows' you try to shut it down and are able to clean the process, without the need for FledgeHook.
In addition, it is only a problem with pre - 6.0 simulators.
Are there opportunities you can test both scenarios that I pointed out and report to confirm that this is actually relevant to your experience?
Thank you!

Install the new FDMEE 11.1.2.4 - ODI Agent does not start
After the installation and configuration of EMP 11.1.2.4, components (including the FDMEE) on a Windows 2008 (single-server installation), I ran diagnosis of EPM system and found the only test that failed was to the Agent of ODI.
ODI Agent availability check: http://server1:6550 / oraclediagent
Error: com.hyperion.cis.utils.BadResponseCodeException: bad response with the GET method code: 404
Recommended action: check the application of the FDM Enterprise Edition is started and the database schemas exist.
FDMEE and all the other components of the EMP seem to work and open in the workspace. The only problem is that ODI Agent will not start. Re-installation and configuration of FDMEE has not fixed this problem. I also tried to start manually in the WebLogic administration server, but it has not started and I found the following error in ErpIntegrator0.log.

During my research of these errors, I found results indicating the problem could be related to multiple NIC cards or enforceable, but I don't know if this is the reason of my problem and how to check it. Any help would be appreciated!
In your case, it seems that the list of the WKA is formed using the IP 127.0.0.1 loopback address but consistency has bound to the IP address of 10 points. Finally, make sure that they match so that ODI Agent can start, but given that it's a DHCP box you well then that tends to add another layer of complication.
What we tend to do in support with DHCP boxes to avoid problems with name resolution is to simulate a static IP address by adding a loopback adapter (google, you can add a loopback adapter Server 2008 for instructions) with a static IP address (I often use smth like setting IPv4 10.10.10.10 (, netmask 255.255.255.0 & no gateway) then add an entry to the hosts file to map the IP address for the host name of the host name for example, 10.10.10.10
You must make sure that the host name resolution works as expected in Java according to this link as well (which I think is why we go to the "loopback hack" first place in support): https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/epm_install/frameset.htm?ch06s02s01.html
I would start by looping config tbh as I remember seeing someone with a box of AWS, earlier when helping a colleague where host name resolution was not working with that tool and they had problems with the Agent of ODI.

Change the hour of start/stop maintenance window
Hello
This question is for 12.1.0.2 on 2012 Windows 64-bit. Many of the automated internal jobs Oracle (for example statistics collection) are overlapping with other application work. I'm confused that adequate controls are to change the on/off time for the maintenance for these jobs window. Can I change the window, set_attribute, etc...
Can someone tell me the proper commands to view and edit the start and stop time for the window/internal maintenance task?
Thank you...

The answers you seek are discuess to chapter 26 of the Oracle documentation: automated management of Database Maintenance tasks
http://docs.Oracle.com/database/121/Admin/tasks.htm
26 automated management of Database Maintenance tasks
Oracle database has automated many day-to-day maintenance tasks typically performed by database administrators. These automated maintenance tasks are carried out when the system load is expected to be light. You can enable and disable individual maintenance tasks and can configure these tasks and resource assignments at the time, they are awarded.
This chapter contains the following topics:
See this third point ' configuration of Maintenance Windows?
These sections above the coverage of everything you need to know. As always, you must carefully design the test cases that includes your own test cases to work to ensure that things work as expected.
