• Is it possible for a flex application to reproduce a structure of files and folders to the customer without zip

  I have an upload/download of flex based app that works very well for download, but when it comes to download, I have coldfusion zip files and folders together and then just by downloading this single file.  I would like to have the flex application to replicate files and folders on the clients computer without having to zip & unzip them and I was wondering if this is even possible.  If I remember correctly, I thought that flash could not create folders on the clients computer...

• El Capitan and 10 + Mac I have installed so far

  Because I can't find too many reports on bugs that I lived during the installation/use a variety of Mac with El Capitan, I thought it would be a good idea to list the most interesting problems that I have encountered in the process. It is perhaps useful to other users.

  In my work during the day, I am responsible for the well-being of some 30 + Mac/Mac servers and their users. Since we are a prepress company, we need a very stable and predictable, and software environment. We arrived finally with a configuration which should suit our needs at least to come next year.

  Basic installation includes the software operating system, Adobe CreativeCloud, Office2011 and Eizo calibration.

  Since I wanted to know if the Mac are in good condition, I decided to go the long way with each machine, not only to drop an image on the disk and let it run. In doing so, I saw things much clumsy that I'll probably post on my printpraxis.net blog in the coming weeks (in German).

  To make things short - my list:

  1. We use monitors NEC 19 "for pallets in CC especially when using Photoshop on MacPros, white GUI elements on the secondary screen turn Cyan and back to white. Users, whose job involves working a lot with color calibrated, are extremely disturbed by it. We have not yet understood whether it is an Apple oder question to Adobe.
  2. Opening dialog print takes older (about 20 seconds) - including seeing the Rainbow wheel a lot. We will print to a Canon color with an EFI rip laser.
  3. In one case, the contacts address book is removed by the system whenever a contact is changed or a new contact is added. Every time. We seem to have "solved" this problem by deleting all the contacts 2 045 and re-import them.
  4. In one case, Mail fails to connect fully with our Kerio Connect, hide folders, the user has on Kerio and actually removes local folders without apparent reason. It is still not resolved and I'll try to look in this tomorrow. 'Repair' standard procedures did not improve the situation right now.
  5. Software Adobe CC indicates missing fonts - but Linotype Fontexplorer shows their alive. Disable and reenable the fonts "solves" this.

  I would add that during the process of wiping/reset to zero the internal disks and try to get the installer of El Capitan via the AppStore, Apple in some cases refused permission to install El Capitan, although the system is officially supported. I could solve this problem of booting from an external hard drive and installing from there to the internal drive. Interestingly, this seems to be about AppleID Apple user to provide forces. Our company at times code was refused and I had to use an ID to get setup.

  After all, Apple obviously does not test the OS on conventional HDs-since El Capitan is too slow for professional work on the turning points of metal. Samsung has been happy to provide us with six new SSD up to this point.

  (1) there are similar reports of brushing causing screen flashes white for users of iMac with 4 K screens. I am a 3D artist in my free time and I read two developers mention OpenCL tools in Mac OS 10.10 and 10.11 must be fixed and both claim that Apple said in July they would solve this, but I've never heard an official response from Apple on this

  (2) connect the printers on IP and no other protocols if you have not already.

  (3) don't know about this one, I am not user

  (4) contact the developer. I used some LaCie spectrometer recommended in 2005, but this story. The calibration is the cocaine of the designer. End users are never satisfied with the results and there is no success with it no matter how much you try.

  My friend's laptop computer was destroyed in a car accident. I pulled the drive and placed it in my desktop XP system and the drive appear in good health. However, I received permission issues trying to access records on the disk and thought that it was because of me using Win XP and the laptop was Win7x64. My questions below are based on the assumption that I'm not able to access these files on my Win XP system. If this assumption is incorrect, so please let me know.

  I have a laptop that I don't use and put the disk in it. I was hoping it would be plug and play all the new material, but after reading a little online, I know that this is not the best thing to do and will probably not work as did the earlier versions of Windows.

  In the end, I care retrieves the contents of the disc, although it would be great if I could lend my laptop for a few weeks with "its files" until it sorts how to replace the laptop.

• Is there a way to automatically fill bookmarks and folders of bookmarks in the toolbar and menu for a consistent view?

  The separate group of bookmarks in Firefox in the toolbar, Menu and does not sort, I always found it cumbersome to use and manage. The search for bookmarks often means I have to open each one to find a specific bookmark. I am aware of the show all bookmarks in bookmarks option > drop-down Menu (but isn't in the bookmarks bar). I know how to copy the bookmarks and folders etc. but it is hard to do every time I have bookmark. And if I add a new bookmark folder and want a consistent view, I need to copy this folder in the Menu or eitherToolbar and copy the new bookmarks in the toolbar or the Menu as well.

  Is there an add-on or option or other alterative that exists to provide that kind of capability?

  If not, maybe an adding future functionality to Firefox to eventually change the vision presented in the bookmarks bar and Bookmarks Menu so that they match and can be activated by a new option of FireFox "change the bookmark view show merged Bookmarks Toolbar + Bookmarks Menu bookmarks and folders of bookmarks in the toolbar and menu.

  After a few edits, I found a way to accomplish what I want, and fortunately, it can be done in the application of Firefox without needing an add-on.

  I simply copy the bookmarks unordered top-level in the top-level bookmarks toolbar and the bookmarks Menu of top-level. This, combined with the convention to add all new bookmarks in the folders under Unsorted Bookmarks or Unsorted Bookmarks, provides the unified content bookmark I want across all views bookmark 3 (Unsorted, Menu, Toolbar).

  From the library page (grown by selecting from the menu of Firefox bookmarks bar > show all bookmarks), if I select Unsorted Bookmarks, copy and paste into the bookmarks toolbar and paste in the Menu bookmarks, this is what I want. I actually created a symbolic/reference/shortcut link to Unsorted Bookmarks the other two favorite places can be found.

  With Unsorted Bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbars and bookmarks Menu, any add/remove bookmarks or add/delete records or restructuring of the bookmarks under Unsorted Bookmarks directory tree is also immediately reflected in all 3 of the possible locations of bookmark (Unsorted, toolbar, Menu).

  The design and implementation of bookmarks supports this simple solution, so Bravo for designers and coders for built-in extensibility / generality which support this approach. And thanks for the posters for giving me some background and history on the bookmarks in Firefox, motivation me digging to find this solution which is quite simple and elegant.

  Hello! I bought a new MacPro and gave my old MacBook Air to my boyfriend. Before I install the new OS El Capitan and now pages, keynote, and IMovie are gone! I read somewhere that these programs are tied to the computer, not the system, and that we must go to the Apple Store and donwnload even in the case where you were the original owner, who bought the machine. But is not so simple, because it is new to Mac and it's his first. Is there a way for him to download applications without having to pay 20 dollars each?

  I currently have a Mid-2009 MBP under Snow Leopard.

  In the past, I used Bootcamp for Windows 7 (then at 10 horrible) and had no problems.

  Annoyed, shattered Windows 10, returned to Windows 7. Made backup using the backup utility Windows on/dev/disk1 /.

  Had problems with El Capitan and wiped out all/dev/disk0 /.

  According to the screenshot below, when I start my computer displays the boot Mac and Windows options.

  I narrowed down it to caused by/dev/disk1 /, but there no other Windows operating system or backup are there.

  Is it possible that this is due to the partition on/dev/disk1/and EFI is possible to remove this fact and the option to start Windows without annihilating the entire HARD drive?

  When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is particularly bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

  These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

  Run the Console application in one of the following ways:

  ☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

• How to share a partition between El Capitan and Windows 7

  Hi all

  You are looking for assistance.

  I'm relatively new to Mac OS and you want to configure a MacBook with El Capitan and Windows 7, with or without boot camp. I have a 1 TB SSD hard drive, where I want to divide it into 3 partitions with the following:

  200 GB Mac OS partition

  Score of 200 GB Windows 7 OS

  600 GB shared partition accessible between the 2 operating systems.

  Whenever I have set the shared FAT32 partition it would either mess boot camp install Win7 or boot camp Win7 will not install unless the FAT32 partition is removed. I even installed Win7 without boot camp and the shared partition is safe on Mac OS, but not accessible in Windows.

  Hope that all makes sense. Help will be very appreciated.

  a. either manually partition and create the partitions you need, if you need to use Bootcamp, or

  b. install W7 as virtual machine and VM engines will allow you sharing (reading / writing) between the two file systems.

  3. There are many variations to two models of same. W7 and year of Mac are the main limiting factors for your disk formatting.

• Problems with El Capitan and using my MAcBook Pro password.

  After I down loaded El Capitan, I wasn't able to use my password to connect to my MacBook Pro. The only way I can enter now is to restart Safari guest mode, only it can I use my password and log in as myself. Someone knows how to solve this problem or how to get rid of El Capitan and return to Yosemite.

  Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
  Click on "Run as Administrator"
  At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannow
