Electrify: Battery pull

Is there a combination of button pushes/shims that does the same thing as a true "battery pull?

Switch the phone off and then turn it on. But a real physical attraction of the battery is the only way to unplug completely if you what / need to do... you did it yourself.

The next closest thing is a Factory Reset.

If you have a problem with your phone, which has need of that, can you let us know more details, thank you.

  • BlackBerry BB Q10 Q10 - difference between Power OFF and "battery pull out?"

    Hello

Anyone has any info on what difference the phone sees between a switching OFF power and make a battery out?

Apparently, some of the guys to BlackBerry customer service advise you to do a battery pull off when the phone is in MODE.

Just curious to know what is the reason behind it.

When you turn off your phone, keep everything intact until you turn on again. When you do a battery pull, he interrupts the operation of the phone and many temporary files, not necessary for the proper functioning of the phone, are deleted. In many cases, when there is something playing havoc on your phone it is found within these temporary files.

Another method to do a battery pull should press and hold the power button until the BlackBerry is displayed on the screen. Other things will appear before that but if you continue to hold until it shows, the effect is similar to a battery with the phone powered pull. Note that pressing the power button to turn off the phone does not erase these temporary files unless you press and hold until the BlackBerry presents, usually about 15 seconds.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones looking reboot / battery pull App for BES / what permissions are needed?

I tried to use again Me in my 9900, but is not compatible with BES. Not all the permissions the application, but it does not work. It just hangs. I asked the seller the necessary permissions, and they seem to be completely put out on this issue. They simply said of all the permissions must be enabled. On the right, as the computer SCIENCE Department will go for this.

I don't mind paying for an app if it works and if I can get a clear indication of what permissions requires.

If you use a reboot / battery traction app with BES, which do you use, and what is the permissions it requires?

I just found out that ALT BACKSPACE of RIGHT SHIFT causes a reboot. Now, I have no need of a battery pull application.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones [Torch 9860] cannot use internet (except browser) applications until battery pull

    Hello

I have a Torch 9860. I don't have a data plan, I only use internet applications over wi - fi. Occasionally, my camera is in a State where, despite being connected to Wi - Fi and see the BlackBerry logo in the upper right corner, the only internet application that I can use is the browser. The rest say I am not connected to the internet. A solution for this is to do a battery pull, but I was wondering why this is happening and if there is no way to stasrting it.

    Thank you

    gajariam

I forgot to mention that it started after that I bought a 1 day pass data from my carrier (Fido).

I contacted Fido and BlackBerry (via Fido) assistance and the ultimate solution was to buy a data plan that would solve the problem (my PIN has been set at idle on BIS).

To solve the problem, I did a "reset to factory defaults" via BlackBerry Desktop Manager and I have restored the last backup I had before I bought the data in 1 day pass.

My camera is in a State where applications operate in Wi - Fi 100% of the time

  • OP 6 problem blackBerry smartphones... Help, please. Battery pull does not resolve. Verizon. Sufficient free space.

Just installed op 6 and all in all, am pretty happy with it. The only problem I seem to have is that my themes are gone. My shows Desktop Manager to install them. Shows list of applications to be installed, but they are not found. When I change to another theme in options, the only presentation of theme is the theme of Verizon. Any ideas? I have a business theme that I like to use. This is for version 6 (she claims). Please help me out here. Thank you in advance... Jim

He didn't is no themes OS 6 available yet, even for OS 6 theme generator kit has yet been released yet.

Then, you're stuck with that for now, no amount of battery pull restarts will make your works of old themes and also done - I'd say remove them from the unit.

  • Power market vs. battery pull

As I understand it, turn off the phone, then back on "restarts" the operating system. Removing and replacing the battery doesn't do something different?

    Thank you

    Rick

Technically Yes.  Most electronic devices are running some if disabled using the same battery and a little more than others.  Because most of the data that must remain mobile (for example, the clock) are based on signals from the cell towers, there is very little past with the phone and power on and the phone will be reset the operating system.  If the phone hangs or is experencing other questions, it may help to remove the battery for a few seconds so that all the power releases from the phone.  This will ensure that all resets correctly.  I had a few problems that could only be fixed by a battery pull, however, more will be fine with a power off.

  • BlackBerry 10 Z10 RESTART AFTER BATTERY PULL QUESTION

I have an old Curve 8530. When I pull the battery or RESTART the device after installing the application, it takes about 15 minutes for the unit to come back online.

The Z10 has the same limitation?

    Kind regards.

The example you cite (reboot during NAV) is outside the parameters that you started with... I interpreted what you started with a 'normal' restart situation where I consider this new abnormal scenario (for example, a unexplained reboot suddenly). Therefore, they can not IMHO be compared.

According to my experience, all the 'old' models of BB had rather long reboot times. As things have progressed, it has improved with a faster memory, faster processors, etc. But of course who is may also be lessened by a larger and more complex BONE.

The reality of our free market is that there is a plethora of choices. In my experience, the Z10 is the best BB ever... faster in all respects, better keyboard, etc. etc. etc. But each individual must make their choice according to their unique requirements together. If you want a droid, then by all means feel free to get one. I can share that I recently came across a droid, have it and my Z10 in parallel for almost 2 months... and during this time, I really came to hate the Droid.

    Good luck!

  • Detect a "battery pull" or resetting phone

Is it possible to detect if your BlackBerry has been reset or you have removed the battery?

Weird question, I know, but it would be great if possible.

Put the variables you want to 'reset' in RuntimeStore - she is lost when the device is restarted

  • Battery blackBerry Smartphones pull - pull or not to pull

When I recently bought my Curve 8330, the guy on sale at the Sprint Store said I should remove my battery on a weekly basis for re - program the phone.  Is this really necessary?  I just got an Otterbox cover and holder for my birthday and it seems that it'll be a hassle to pull the battery.

Thanks in advance for your help.

There is an app called Quickpull that simulates a battery pull. It works very well and this should be enough most of the time. If you encounter serious problems which are not solved by quickpull, then you should proceed to remove the battery. Here is a link to the software: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660&n=QuickPull

I use it and I know that a lot of people on this forum as well. A battery pull is recommended from time to time when your phone starts to get slow/unresponsive / misbehaves. It also allows to recover memory used when applications are running.

  • Is it possible to get a backdoor without the extended battery?

My battery door became very weak and creaky because I do so many battery pulls. I have the long battery life, and it seems the only way to get a new one, is to buy another battery. My back door just stays on. Also, are there any plans on commercialization of skins for the external battery? This would make the phone feel more solid and protect the bezel of the scratches.

    Yes

  • Replacement battery for HP DV6 7028TX (batteries to shoot) - and a comment on Msata

    Hi all, how are you?

I need a replacement battery for my laptop (DV6-7028TX) and online there are several places that offer, "Pull on batteries", which are basically ripped off a new computer laptop, as the name suggests and is much less expensive. Does anyone have any experience with these? And they are all good?

On the topic of hardware upgrades and replacements, for those of you who may have a hp dv6-7028tx, while doing some maintence on this, I spotted an msata slot, (which is empty as stock on this model), to which i added a kingston ssd 60 GB Msata and got the Intels Rapid Storage Technology running. who uses the ssd as a cache for the HARD drive. And staff of his lightning quick with start-up experience and all my regular programs. So, if you have a slot msata and can run Intels RST, I definitely recommend get it! well worth the $75 to the ssd. It feels like a new laptop.

And thank you Mrstenter for this info, but it wasn't the answer I was looking for.

I advanced and bought 'New battery pull' for $27, and it works well. only 6 cycles and 96% of its capacity. for less than $30, when hp will sell them for $139.00, its really good value!

The link posted in my first comment, was the battery that I bought.

In conclusion, regarding the new traction batteries-it works and is well worth the money! (Provide its from a reliable seller.)

    See you soon!

  • Z10 battery blackBerry with Z10 strange problem

I got a 100-3 10.1.2019OS Z10. I had no problms with her. Every now and then the battery becomes hot and sinks quickly.

I encountered a strange problem. All of a sudden, my battery with a minimum life isn't quite a day. I have ony 1 app running, guru of battery that monitors battery. I have two spare batteries. I tried to change the batteries and it makes no difference.

As I said, I have had this since it was released here in the United States and generally get about 2 days with my use. and I made NO changes, no new apps.

    Any thoughts?

See my thread on battery drainage Z10 suddenly more quickly.

I found Gmail as an issue. If you configure try to delete the account and do a battery pull. See if it works.

I had a similar problem for the last 2 days and Gmail has proved to be the culprit.

  • Z10 blackBerry dead after only 5 hours battery

I don't want happened to my Z10, but after only 5 hours and no use a fully charged battery is dead. I bought a new battery but no change. I wish there was an option to completely reinstall the operating system. I have installed all apps

Always start with a battery pull when something goes wrong with your phone.  There could be something in the operating system that is not aware and a battery pull will often correct this.  To make a correct battery pull, remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it.

    I hope that helps you.
