em/emctl

Hi all

Whenever I finished installing a database, there is a message that em has been configured.
I just ignore or neglect :(
The Database Control URL is https://localhost:1158/em

Management Repository has been placed in secure mode wherein Enterprise Manager data will be encrypted.
The encryption key has been placed in the file:
c:/app/titanic.com/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/localhost_orcl/sysman/config/emkey.ora.
Please ensure this file is backed up as the encrypted data will become unusable if this file is lost.

Enterprise Manager Database Control URL - (orcl) :
https://localhost:1158/em
Honestly speaking, I do not use OEM that they seem not so useful for me? Or am I just blind?
Can you give me reasons why you do not use OEM... pleaseee I.
Or what are the features in OEM, do you like the most?

Thank you very much.

zxy

If already configure properties of an instance you just need set the value $ORACLE_SID instance variable of environment for which you want to configure oem
$export ORACLE_SID = test1
$echo $ORACLE_SID
output like
Test1
$emca - create config dbcontrol db-rest

    Dear all,

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I solved the problem with the solutions below.

How can I connect EM express?

EM Express can be accessed thorugh the URL to https://:default.

A login page is displayed and the user can connect with any credential valid DB.

or use the following query when you are connected to the CBD or PDB for generating the URL:

    For HTTPS :

    SQL > SELECT 'https://'|| SYS_CONTEXT ('USERENV', 'SERVER_HOST') |'. ' || SYS_CONTEXT ('USERENV', 'DB_DOMAIN') |': ' | dbms_xdb_config.gethttpsport () | "/em/' double.

    SQL > SELECT 'https://'|| SYS_CONTEXT ('USERENV', 'SERVER_HOST') |': ' | dbms_xdb_config.gethttpsport () | "/em/' double.

    For HTTP :

    SQL > SELECT 'http://'|| SYS_CONTEXT ('USERENV', 'SERVER_HOST') |'. ' || SYS_CONTEXT ('USERENV', 'DB_DOMAIN') |': ' | dbms_xdb_config.gethttpport () | "/em/' double.

    SQL > SELECT 'http://'|| SYS_CONTEXT ('USERENV', 'SERVER_HOST') |': ' | dbms_xdb_config.gethttpport () | "/em/' double.

    Its worked for me.

    Thank you & best regards

  • Remove emctl blackout/target for the host that no longer exists

    Hello
I have a power outage set via emctl command line for a host. The host was then taken out of service until it could be removed from EM. Now, I can not remove the failure or target EM as the power failure has been fixed through emctl. I can't access emctl to end because the server was decommisioned. What should I do to remove the target?

    Host: Linux

    Agent: 10.2.0.5

    WHO: 10.2.0.5

As you have decommissioned the host already guess that historical control data to the host and its monitored databases are no longer required.

In this case, you can cleanup the agent to the repository which will also clean up the host and control objectives information completely and permanently.

10G we can do this by connecting to the repository as SYSMAN,

    SQL > exec mgmt_admin.cleanup_agent ('. : 3872');<== this="" deletes="" the="" agent="" and="" all="" the="" targets="" for="" this="" agent="" from="">

  • Get the names of collections for "emctl control agent runcollection" - command

    Hello

I have a very simple question, but so far I have not found an answer by myself.

For the moment, I test a lot with the provision of software and databases with cloud control.

When I install an agent on a new machine commissioning, target that it takes about 15 minutes (the metric collection schedule) to cloud control knows all about this host. (OS version, etc.)

Provisioning will fail before control cloud knows this information due to several controls.

So, I wanted to run the collection of this information manually. Oracle Support told me to run ' emctl control agent runcollection < target_name >: < target_type > < collectionName > ' on the target machine or an agent.

So far so good, but how to get the correct name of the Collection? (for example, I want to find out the information on the host that you see when you access a guest house in the configuration of the section on the left side... Size (MB) memory system, File System (GB), operation)

So far, I wasn't able to find the names of correct perception in MOS or in the documentation.

If all you want to do is force the collection of host configuration, you can easily do it through the user interface. Since the host Host Configuration page-> last collected. In the menu actions, select Refresh. This performs all configuration immediately collections and downloads it to the repository. It will immediately appear in the user interface.

You can also do this for 1 or several hosts at once by going to the company-> Configuration-> host to refresh Configuration...

No need to mess with the agent...

    Hope this helps,

  • Problems with emctl in oracle 10.2.0.4

    Hello
I'm trying to get OEM DB Console running for a database on a server, that I just inherited the previous s/n. I get this error when I try emctl on the command line:

    emctl
/app/oracle10g/product/10.2.0/bin/emctl: line 330: cd: /app/oracle/product/10.2.0: No such file or directory
/app/oracle10g/product/10.2.0/bin/emctl: line 332: /app/oracle/product/10.2.0/perl/bin/perl: No such file or directory
    You can see that emctl is looking for "/ app/oracle /...» «and s/n changed the directory "app/oracle10g /...» »

When I look in the server that is a little more seems that this DBA created the Oracle home as a copy from another server. They did not use the process of "Clone". The OEM SYSMAN directory is to another server:
    /app/oracle10g/product/10.2.0/otherserver.mycomp.com/sysman/config
To make this more fun way, it's a production server.

No idea how I can get OEM DB Console running?

I got it. Once I realized that the emctl is a script I edited just the ORACLE_HOME in the scripts. Ditto for emca.

  • Help use "emctl jmxcli" command

I'm new to EM and am trying to learn to create plugins. Someone installed EM 12 c for me and then I installed the CDIP and emcli. I was able to get demo HostSample plugin of the CDIP that uses OSLineToken fetchlet to deploy and work. So I wrote a simple plugin that uses the SQL fetchlet. It worked as well. I'm now writing a plugin which ensures a JMX application deployed on an Oracle WebLogic application server. In reference Cloud control extensibility programmer PDF it says to use the command 'emctl jmxcli. However, when I try to run this command it returns just the syntax of the command. It does not seem to recognize the 'jmxcli' option. When I run "emctl getversion" this is the result:

Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Database Control Release 11.2.0.3.0
Copyright (c) 1996, 2011 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
Enterprise Manager 11 g DB version control 11.2.0.3.0
    Enterprise Manager 10 g 10.2.0.4.0 Agent Version

I think that I have the correct version of installed everything. I'm doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!
    Al

The out command, it seems that you are working with 'Enterprise Manager Database Control,' which does not support extensibility. At least that's what shows the output of the command emctl. You really need 'Enterprise Manager Cloud Control' to do what you want to do.

  • 11g - emctl start dbconsole fails

I have a server that is running OEL 6 64-bit. I installed the 11.2.0.3 Patch Set 2 database. The installation of the database has gone well except for that I can't start the dbconsole.

    "emctl start dbconsole" error

I look in the logs located in - /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/host.domain.com_orcl/sysman/log

First, I look at emdctl.trc and see:
2012-06-12 09:14:42, 566 ERROR Thread-403838720 hand: nmectla_agentctl: error connecting to the https://olympia.glasfloss.com:3938/emd/main. Return status code

I figure above error is perhaps the result of rather than a cause, so I go to emdb.nohup and see the following:

The most relevant appears to be-

-Tue Jun 12 09:10:41 2012::tzOffset to - 06:00-360 (min), but agent is runnning with tzOffset-300 (min)

    My OS time is correct

No. date + %z # name of the zone
    product
    -0500

    Date
    Kill Jun 12 10:07:17 CDT 2012

It's OK for me since we are in the Central time zone

so is this the dbconsole which is misconfigured? did I miss a patch? is the problem with the agent instead?

    Hello

    Have you tried the following:

    #> emctl config agent upadateTZ
    #> emctl resetTZ agent
    #> emctl reload agent
    #> emctl start agent

  • Error 11 GR 2 emctl start dbconsole

I just installed database 11 GR 2. I installed with the manual option, no database created in the first place. I created the database manually already and already ran two scripts that create the data dictionary elements, etc.. I could start the instance and open the database successfully.

But when I try to run the following command to start the dbconsole for enterprise manager, I get these errors. I understand that I must issue the full command, including the... part 'start dbconsole', but simply out of curiosity has also run the command without this part.
I checked and I have place in the following directory:
    /U01/app/Oracle/product/11.1.0/dbhome_1/OC4J/J2EE/OC4J_DBConsole

but not the... localhost... part mentioned in the error message.

What's not here? How to solve this?

These are the errors displayed in each case...

    running the command complete...

    [oracle@localhost ~] $ emctl start dbconsole
OC4J Configuration problem. /U01/app/Oracle/product/11.1.0/dbhome_1/OC4J/J2EE/OC4J_DBConsole_localhost.localdomain_orcl not found.

    running only the command emctl...

    [oracle@localhost ~] $ emctl
The MA Configuration problem. /U01/app/Oracle/product/11.1.0/dbhome_1/localhost.localdomain_orcl not found.

Also, your SYSTEM's storage space is full - expand the existing data file or add a new data file to the repository
