email - when I try to look at the address e-mail through firefox - it askes me to sign over and over again. I can never get to the e-mail address

I would like to talk to someone at Firefox since I am paying for the program, but I can't find out how to do this. I'm not a computer expert, but a novice.

A few things to check on your email.

(1) cookie permissions

Make sure that you allow your mail site to set cookies, the cookies of the same server and third-party cookies part. This article provides more information: Web sites say cookies are blocked - pledge.

(2) delete old Cookies

If the permissions are good, but the site still won't let you connect, clear your old cookies in case they are corrupted. While displaying a page on the site, try either:

  • Right click and select View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
  • Menu Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, you can delete cookies from the site individually.

Then try to reload the page and sign in again.

(3) proxy server

Yahoo and AOL sites remain not connected with certain servers/services of proxy for some reason any. If the problem is one of those, try a change here:

the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > advanced > tab mini network > settings button

Select 'Use the system proxy settings' or 'No proxy' and check if it works better.

(4) modules

Some modules focus on the protection of personal information can filter information sent to sites and thus prevent them from working. You can review your extensions on page modules. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, look for those related to privacy and see if you can use an option button to make an exception for your mail site. Or try to disable them temporarily.

    Make sure that your Internet connection doesn't have any static IP DNS address or you're not going through a proxy server.  Also make sure you have any spyware or viruses on your computer blocking all sites.  To do this, you can check your host file to see if web addresses are blocked.

    Your host file should look like this:

    I think this should be a simple and easy solution, but where can I find the answer?

    Hi newsgirl,.

    Somewhere at the top of the laptop keyboard is a key that says Num Lock (or Num Lk or something like that).  It can be accessed directly, or you may need to press a key to access (or some other keys).  In any case, you must click this to turn off the number lock because it is what causes the problem.  This key is usually used on laptops to create a section of a regular keyboard that can act as the normal keyboard calculator keypad (for those who need that, like accountants or persons who need to enter strings of numbers).  Once you turn it off, you will be fine as the keyboard returns to normal.
