emails sent from my account but not of/by me

On several occasions, I've found that emails have been sent from my email address but I don't not sent them.  They seem to go to everyone in my contacts list and I know that when one or more fails to send. Emails are always to buy something online and have a website reference.

In addition, there are two contacts in my contact list that I never added and I can't delete them.

I have Norton 360 first Edition currently running.

I'd appreciate any help to overcome the problem of the "automatic" email


If you're dependencies Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail or Outlook follow these steps:

Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking

Windows Vista

Using the F8 method:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
  3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
  4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
  5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
  6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

    You might well be a misinterpretation of the events. Another explanation is that one of your friends has a malware infestation. The malicious software causes the computer to send messages to all persons named in their address book.  The message is supposed to come from a person who is selected in the address book, but it's a subterfuge the message is actually the computer infected. This would explain why it is in your deleted items folder and not your sent items folder. Anti-spam on your computer defenses have identified the incoming spam message and put it where it belongs.

    It is generally not easy to identify who has the infected computer. In the only case that I met, it was possible to narrow down the identity of the infected computer from the list of people who receive messages. A close examination of the list revealed a name that was not known to all the others, except for one who had the infected computer. Opening of the item deleted on your computer could lead to malware foothold on your computer and start a new wave of infected messages which, in this case, are sent from your computer to everyone in your address book.     Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.

    When talking to friends the problem, be very careful what you say that the charges can very quickly lose you your friends. Explain how you check your computer for malware so that they know how they can check their own computers. Let them do, and I hope that the problem will end.

    And on the BRI, my test was on a PC, it did not work...  Anyway, I was going to connect to the BIS to work on my question above, but seems that it does not help now, then it does not matter if I enter or not.

    Well, it's quite strange... I just used who link me (from a PC) and get my BIS account very well. You can, however, use the interface for device BIS - watch this demo that I you provided above for instructions on this. BIS is simply a service provided by your operator. The PC/Web site method and device interface - these are simply two different interfaces in the same Department, so using one or the other is not serious... they cause the same thing.

  • I can get email directly from my ISP, but not through thunderbird. I have windows 7. I have 'repair file' on the but deleted items folder Inbox crashed.

    I have Windows 7. I started with a problem to have my deleted emails in my Inbox in endangered and not to enter in my trash. So I went to the folder 'Properties' and did a 'repair file' on my trash folder - who worked to get the deleted emails back. Then I tried to bring back an e-mail in my Inbox but it is not. So I tried another. What was allowed either. Then I did an email test from another e-mail account, as I have in the Inbox for this account. The test e-mail never came through. So I went to my service provider online. The e-mail test came ok. Also, I noticed that under the option 'Subscribe' in my account problem, under 'Folder List' there is no record showing. The area is completely empty. While in my two other accounts, I have all my folders showing with ticked the boxes next to them. This is as far as I'm away.

    I don't know what happened, but when I went to my e-mail this morning someone had added in my account again and this time it worked! Thank you who did this... very, very, very well!

    I wasn't there when my account has been hacked.  How is it that compromised the accounts of those who have received the emails not authorized by me.  Should I change to another email account/address e-mail so that they feel safe to receive future email from me?

    If they do not follow all the links or software as a result of these messages, so there is no risk for them.

    As for you, if you can still access your mailbox, log in using a web browser, change your password, update the security features, and you should be sure again.

    If your mailbox provider allows it, be sure to enable always 'use HTTPS.  That can go a long way towards ensuring you don't get hacked again.

    I recently moved to 10.9 after many years to 10.6... I have multiple e-mail accounts set up in the two [I have a triple boot MBPro 09]... but lately spend most of my time to 10.9.  A number of times where I got Mail highlighted in my account at the top of the page, sent an e-mail to him... but the answer comes back to the account number two, reported as being on the second account?  Check "sent" from the number an account shows that it was sent from this account. but the return/reply came back at number two and marked as ' of' the second.  Both accounts are distinct types and it's a bit embarrassing to have that happen... Since "accounts" do not have "send as" or options "answer to" I don't know how this happens...  In fact a few years ago, my wife running 10.6 MacBook had the same question... do not think that we have never solved this problem... so I think that it is a "known issue" with Mail... do not know what is "known" in this topic.

    Try mail/preferences/AccountType account information. Select an account, and then access the server of outgoing (SMTP) mail. In the menu drop-down select list server SMPT Edit. Then set up a server for each e-mail account that is associated with the e-mail address. Then go to each account and set this server as the Mail Server outgoing (SMTP). You can click on use only this server if you wish.

    Mail/preferences/writing/sending messages - set to the selected mailbox account.

    I saw the Adobe ID (email address) you used to post here and can see that you have a plan of creative photography of cloud are recorded.

    Please make sure you use the same Adobe ID (email address) that you used to purchase the subscription to connect to the Web site.

    Once logged in go to APP and tab install CC 2015 Photoshop and Lightroom CC 2015 from there.

    On a computer, we have two user account: an admin mastering (Bev), the other without (BevsGuest).  Note that this is not 'the' guest account.

    We have no printing problem on behalf of Bev.  But we cannot print from the BevsGuest account.  Sorry, but I forgot the error message we get.  But we receive the error of several applications - Excel, Word, Google Maps, etc.

    This who should I seek to explain the problem?

    I'm sure that's enough information for someone to propose a specific solution.  And I cannot possibly answer follow-up questions because I'm away from the computer at 400 miles at present.

    I'm looking for simply advice.  I'm not familiar enough with the Windows o/s to find out how this could happen.

    My WAG is: it's a permissions problem.  But if this is the case, I don't know where to look for the permissions property, which may be the cause of root, let alone how to fix it.

    The problem started a few times in a few months; He worked many years.  I can't say exactly when the problem started, or what has changed in the meantime, because: (1) I use the computer only every few months. and (2) someone else maintains the computer, for example to install Windows updates.  Not to say that this person could have; but usually it is very minimal.

    The computer is located in a private residence, not not part of a corporate network.  Is there any other computers.  The printer is wired, not wireless.

    I could try to roll back to a system restore point.  But it would be a shot in the water, and I'd rather make minimal changes.

    If the DPI (dots per inch) is less than 100, the printer will not print the photo because it would be too low in quality. Draw the image on the computer, then right-click on it and click Properties, check the horizontal and vertical dpi and see if these figures are less than 100. Have you tried to connect the iPhone to the same network as the printer and try to AirPrint peak? AirPrint road doesn't have the same requirements on IPR as the ePrint.

    This error started before even El Capitan. I am able to receive emails but not send.

    The message is "this message can not be sent because your account does not have a mail server outgoing favorite" and I don't know where to change that or what to enter here, incidentally.

    Any ideas? I guess it's an easy fix (hopefully).

I use Yahoo Mail. Recently, my customer migrated from Lotus notes to Outlook (version 2010) and cannot receive my email from my iMac. Only they can, however, make from my iPad. It's the explanation of their IT Department. "I have recently gone from Lotus to Outlook. When I was on Lotus our security does not come into conflict. When I migrated to Outlook the Outlook security is that collide with your security is why I do not receive emails sent through your computer. Safety on the iPad is different and is compatible with my computer which is why emails sent from your iPad come to me. "We tried to check SPAM, junk mail, basic troubleshooting. I'm not big on technique and I need to be able to send this email to the person of my computer. Help, please!

    Is the address of the customer e-mail different since he switched to Outlook? If so, have you changed his e-mail address in your Contacts? My guess is when you type an email to that customer and you start to overlay in his name in the of: domain, Mail automatically fills to its OLD email address.

    If you have two email addresses on your iMac for this customer - one for his old account from and one to his new Outlook account, delete the OLD e-mail address to your Contacts.
