Emergency aid - T430s delivered with non-functional keyboard

Had a delivery of a T430s today and the keyboard does not work. I type several keys such as enter button several times before it recognizes the press. Performed other keys are space, and DELETE.

I will telephone technical Support, an idea on what to say so I have no problem talking with them?

    I love this keyboard... that's what I've been looking for years! It works fine, but the battery indicator which is SUPPOSED to be in the SYSTRAY isn't here. Maybe I'm too picky or petty, but I would like to have this icon to show me when the batteries become weak in the keyboard.

    The documents that came with the new keyboard or online mentioned this CD, but I can't find any software or upgrade for this keyboard.

    Photos, when I come across a photo of a person without a name, I can click on the field "no name" and a list of names appears. In the Sierra, however, the list includes names of new non-functional based on the e-mail addresses that are causing problems with my library.

    For example, if I type my name, I see three suggestions:

    1. my full name, with the thumbnail associated with my Photos 'face '.

    2. my full name with my email from Apple below address and the photo of my Contacts entry

    3. my full name with a secondary e-mail, which I have also listed in Contacts, with no tile

    If I take 1, everything works as usual.

    If I take 2 or 3, Photos makes a new person with just my name. It does not automatically fill in the rest of my name. I find myself with two entrances of the person, one with my full name and one with my name. I then merge these. This happens with all the people, not just me.

    I have the same problem. When I want to manually add a face without a name/person, I get very often 2 proposals:

    (1) the person sought with the profile photo, the first name and family name. If a picture is displayed, this means that I have already assigned photos to this person.

    (2) the same person, with or without a profile picture, with name, surname and e-mail. This proposal seems to come from my contacts, because it shows the same profile photo and mail the address I have for this person in my contacts.

    If I add the photo to the contact person, the person is added as a person in Photos. But with only the name, not the name, which is a little ridiculous, especially when you are systematically adding people and having many with the same name.

    I merge the two to get back 1 "individual" in photos, with first and last name (first and last).

    So somehow Photos is not capable of matching 'people' in photos to anyone in my contacts list. Even when you merged the two and said Photos this way they need to be put in correspondence.

  • Problems with the Smart keyboard (iPad 9.7 Pro)

    I recently bought the iPad Pro 9.7 inches, gray space, Wifi, 128 GB. IOS 9.3.1 of the operating system.

    A few questions that I met in my four days of using the iPad with the Smart keyboard:

    NOTE: the following problems persist despite a technical support call which lasted, I did 2 hours and 30 minutes. I had to restore my iPad settings by connecting to iTunes via my PC to reinstall the last iOS.

    (i) switching applications: if I want to pass, say, from safari to adobe, it is quite easy to do with the keyboard. However, there is an intermittent problem when the apps. When I try to open Adobe when I use safari, the screen of the iPad shows apps that are open as soon as I press the command and tab key.

    What is supposed to happen - I choose to open Adobe, Adobe opens.

    What happens to the contrary - Adobe does not open. Another "X" application that is currently running, opens. It is quite frustrating, because there is no pattern to this. If I use once more the keyboard shortcut to open Adobe, another application 'Y' which is running, open it now.

    In this case, I pointed out, often when the App Store is running.

    (II) command key: sometimes, shortly after I use the shortcut keys to turn on screen shortcut area (pop-up shortcut) - apps, this is supposed to happen if and only if you press and hold down the command key.

    This often happens when I switch to Safari.

    (III) keyboard not responding: a problem that I met today for the first time. My keyboard will not just respond. I had to disconnect and reconnect the keyboard for this function.

    (IV) on which the space key: to wake up the iPad, pressing the SPACEBAR is enough. You don't have to press the home button. Yet, sometimes the space key does not respond and you must use the home button.

    v) Quick app - keyboard shortcut crash switch function causes: if I want to switch from app to app 'X' 'Y', but mistakenly switch to 'Z' app, I immediately want to spend to 'Y '. However, I can't do this in quick succession. I have to wait a second or two before I can switch from 'Y' 'Z' app, otherwise the automatic switching app crashes and you have to wait once more for a second or two before moving on.

    My diagnosis:

    (I) it could be a problem with the smart connector on my iPad. A hardware problem. But it does not explain why the automatic switching app appears and passes correctly but eventually open the wrong applications. Also, it does not explain why the problem is intermittent.

    (II) a software problem. However, that would make me a face 5 questions at once. Sort of. I was surprised that, apart from the question of #3 and #4, there was almost no mention of other issues.

    To restart the iPad or to disconnect and reconnect the keyboard. But I don't think that anyone would be willing to do this 4 - 5 times on a daily basis.

    Update:

    So I used my keyboard all day yesterday without opening the App Store. And guess what? It has been working perfectly. All the above problems I mentioned were not available yesterday. I'll use the App Store today and let it run in the background to see how does my iPad.

    Is not safe to be comprehensive here, just my ideas. If you merge objects with the background on a master slide, you can save on the size of the file, because the background is an image, compared to several objects. You will not be able to edit these objects more. Also the slide background will always be behind any object. For slides model objects you can have them either on top, where they sit on top of the stack, or not. If you have objects of time during the rest of the project, they will always be on top of the slide background, but if you slide model objects, they'll be on top of the object of time during the rest of the project, unless you put that one always on top. You can disable to show slides on normal leaves model objects, separately from the power off from the slide background. Some of my ideas. For objects that I still want to be with the background, I'd prefer to merge.     Unfortunately installation chart 6i to one OH for 11g will not work. This option is possible as long as 10g as a temporary option during migration to the BI beans new chart features in gr 10, 2 and 11 g.
