Enable hardware virtualization in the BIOS
I'm trying to run a virtual machine on virtualbox, but it needs hardware virtualization enabled in my bios (it says).
I have a HP Pavillion a6347.it with Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q6600, where hardware virtualization should be possible (read this: http://ark.intel.com/products/29765/Intel-Core2-Quad-Processor-Q6600-(8M-Cache-2_40-GHz-1066-MHz-FSB... ).)
How can I enable hardware virtualization in my bios?
Thanks for all your support, I'm Italian sorry my bad English please
If you have the option of hardware virtualization, virtualization or virtualization technology material that it should be located under the tab power options. "Other options which can be found under power options include"after current AC power', ' NX not execute ", S5 max energy saving" and "WOL in S5. If you don't see the option of virtualization on power, look through all the tabs options. If you don't see the option of virtualization anywhere in your BIOS, it is likely that it is not supported by your computer.

Enabling hardware virtualization significantly slows the W530
I enabled hardware virtualization in the Security tab in the BIOS of my new W530 that running Win 7 Pro 64 bit. This has slowed the machine so badly that windows is now open to a series of slow shakes.
I would like to turn on hardware virtualization so I can run 64-bit OS in Virtual Box. Is there a solution to this performance problem? Thank you.
I fixed the problem (or went) and I don't know how or why. I hate it when this happens. At least everything works now with VirtualBox. Thank you all.

Enable hardware virtualization?
I have a TouchSmart IQ507 I believe, model type dual-core Core 2 Duo. So, how can I enable hardware virtualization in the bios, because there is no option for this? Running virtual machines is like a dog on this machine because I can't enabled hardware feature.
You are right;
http://www.Intel.com/products/processor/Core2Duo/Mobile/specifications.htm
All models of T5x50 lack virtualization.
I have the T5850
http://processorfinder.Intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLA4C
OK, time for a new issue, then, well technically 2.
Will be the support of iq507 intel chips T7xx running at 667 mhz? T7400, T7200 and T7600 I know the bios must support them of course, but the 2 main issues that could stop them being usable is the thermal specification is 100 c instead of 85 C and voltage range is 1.0375 - 1.30V instead of 1.075V - 1.175V for the motherboard must provide a higher voltage, the cooling system must be able to handle the higher dissipation , and the needs of the total power supply.
Question 2, if I go to one of them, then I will have enabled virtualization?

4730 proBook s: Ce that enables hardware virtualization
Hello
I do a course that asks me to run VirtualBox with OS 64-bit with her. Problem is necessary turn on hardware virtualization through the BiOs for this and I am not able to do this. I'm running a Probook 4730 of s with 64-bit, Sandy Bridge Chipset BiOs F.30 worm 68SRR running Windows 10.
I checked the box of virtualization technology in the device Configuration menu and changed the virtualization technology menu item to change the menu Set Security Level. I even went and disabled the component of Hyper-V in the menu of Windows functions like VirtualBox told me too.
Any help would be greatly appreiciated because it slows down my ability to do my course work down.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Chris.
Hi erico,.
I solved it. I had to update the BiOs and now it has activated. Seems that the latest BiOs it did not support.

23 - d030 looking for hardware virtualization assisted in the bios configurations envy
Office all-in - One HP Envy TouchSmart 23-d030
WIN8 Pro 64 bit (improved win8)
BIOS: LA3_810.ROM 8.10I need to enable "hardware assisted virtualization" in the bios, but there is no parameters (that I can find) to do. Yes, I went through the security settings in the bios. I ran MS CoreInfo.exe and the computer is good for the VHA and LATTE. DEP is good as well (checked via Control Panel............ System properties). Hyper-V is enabled in the operating system. Is there some 'hidden' attributes that I don't see in the bios?
FYI the point of this is that I'm trying to get phone win8 emulator to run.
Thanks for any input.
Thanks for the reply and the problem lies, I only have the setting for Vtx/Vtd, who is disabled because it must be determined in accordance with the documentation of MS (in my case). I don't have the DEP setting. Now just for S & G I activated the setting and guess what... the phone emulator worked! Maybe in the bios I have they rolled up a number of things in a setting, I can only guess. But it does not work so I'll close this. Thanks for the help.

Enabling hardware virtualization on p7-1174
I have a p7-1174, I need to run Hyper-V on. Apparently this processor supports virtualization or HAV, the A8-3800 AMD - but there is no option to activate this in the BIOS settings I can find... Help!
Hello
Boot in the bios (F10 setup) and click on the Security tab, and then click the system security. Must must be able to activate the virtualization. Save the bios before you leave.
After you have started upward and then run this utility. You have a new PC, so let know us if it works.

Four edition of HP ENVY 15 t J100: ENVY 15t NIVIDIA graphics card problem
Hello
Today, I bought a hp envy 15t j100 quad edition energy star portable pc
and he have NIVIDIA and INTEL stickers and materials but when I open the Device Manager
I do not see the NIVIDIA only intel HD 4600
Why NIVIDIA hidden
or isn't there at all?
is the problem of windows or your CV
??????????????????????????????????
Hello
I can't calrify that because it's a CTO machine and did you pay for the NVIDIA card option when ordering the machine? Pilot is on the site of support, sound as material is not on your machine.
If no physical hardwre, 10 Windows cannot do anything about it. Now, my suggestion: talk to the place where you place your order and ask to give a COMPLETE listing of your computer. Part store lists only the options, not your machine.

Z230: How to turn on hardware virtualization on HP Z230
The Hyper-V platform will not install because I have to first enable hardware virtualization. I've done it before on multiple computers. But on the new Z230 HP I just unpacked it, I can't find the setting in the BIOS.

ME Version 9.1.20.1035 firmware
He is a really strong machine. I really hope, really it has support of virtualization or I will probably have to return it.

This allows hardware virtualization in the BIOS on HP Pavilion p6795
Model number: HP Pavilion p6795
Operating system: A Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, now Windows 8 Pro 64-bit
I'm looking to set up an environment virtualized to continue to use legacy operating systems and programs.
I was wondering how I can be able enable hardware virtualization in the BIOS as suggested by some Manager virtualization software? I don't seem to be able to find it anywhere.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Hello
I understand that you want to enable virtualization in the bios.
When you access the menu of the bios you should switch on security, then should be the option to enable the feature and system security.
Please let me know if it helps.
Thank you

Is it better to turn on hardware virtualization or not
I'm a user at home and quite happy with windows xp mode. The processor in my computer is an i5 and it supports hardware virtualization. If I enable it in the BIOS, it would improve the performance of Windows Virtual PC? And as much as I turned off the Virtual PC, turn on HD Vir would affect the performance of my windows 7 compared to when it has been disabled?
Hello
Instructions to enable hardware virtualization in the BIOS of your PC are specific to the OEM models. It is important that after changing the settings of the BIOS of the PC is completely off at the power switch before you restart for the new BIOS settings can take place.

How to turn on hardware virtualization on my computer?
Hello community VMware,
I have a question quite simple and intuitive. At the moment the computer I use is an Acer Aspire 7736-6080 running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and I'm using VMware Workstation 7.0
I get an error in VMware saying that I need to enable hardware virtualization, but I have no idea on how to do it eventually. I discovered on the internet that I need to do it via the BIOS and it must be called virtualization technology (VT). I have a BIOS from Phoenix Technologies and I went through the BIOS configuration utility and there it says nothing on VT or hardware virtualization. So I don't know how to solve the problem. I need someone to show me how to turn on VT or hardware for virtualization. If it's any help the CPU I used is Intel (r) Core 2 Duo T6600 CPU 2.20 GHz and Intel Centrino inside.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Patrick Goralski

How to turn on hardware virtualization?
In addition, for what it's worth sytem does not support you the VT anyway, then you will not be able to run 64-bit guests.
