End of 2009 Mac Mini won't start in recovery mode
I have a Mac mini end of 2009, the latest version of El Capitan. I recently stopped a partition bootcamp by mistake and now I have 80 GB of my Mac partition filled by anything. Repartition the hard drive does not fix it. I want to reinstall the OS via the recovery however mode, hold down the command and R key results in a blank screen that never ends. I get the same result when you hold down option. The Mac starts up normally and disk utility says that the hard disk is free of errors.
Sounds like the recovery partition has been mess up.
-If you have another Mac then
-Download the installer for OSX El Capitan. They should be included in the purchase of the Mac App Store section
-Make a USB bootable media using the following:
-Start since the media
-Format the boot disk and install OSX from bootable media
-If you do not have another Mac and boot for Snow Leopard installation DVD. Lots of updated 10.6.8 and then go has bought the Mack App Store section and redownload of the El Capitan install and install

Been problems restarting my mid-2010 Mini for several months now. He will start the load bar, get about 1/2 crosswise and then slow down and it will take 5 minutes to get to the end and then never loads desktop. To get to fully charge I will usually turn off the power, unplug and then try again. This will normally work and since I rarely shut down was not a big problem.
After researching this, I thought that maybe the hard drive wasn't, so I replace it with a Samsung SSD. No change and I have also downloaded the Sierra with no effect. The DVD drive seems to have failed and I wonder if this is what is the cause to hang at startup.
Thoughts?
How did you install OSX on the SSD?
Did you do a fresh install?
If this is not the case, try this.
If you start to recovery can you successfully repair/first aid the SSD?
I doubt that the defective optical drive is the source of the problem, but you can log internally to ensure that

End of 2012 Mac mini won't go beyond screen bar startup after update 10.11.4
Hey all,.
I'm puzzled. I have a Late 2012 Mac mini, upgrade 10.11.4 yesterday, after the computer restarts, it was stuck around 60% on the progress of startup screen. I let it go for 12 hours, nothing. The screen fell asleep, and when I woke up it I had a mouse cursor which would pass but nothing to use it with. When you try to start in safe mode, I get a little further, about 95% and then she stalls. When booting into single user mode, it stops at "pci break: SDXC. I fixed the disk with DiskWarrior on the repair disk, no help. Any help would be greatly appreciated, getting very frustrated and I would like to solve it, instead of doing a restore.
I forgot to add, that when starting in Diag mode, I wonder for a wifi network reach, I do then it's right there. Do not enter an IP address.
Thank you!
-Anders
The Diag mode gives me an error-2002D. Looks like I have some errors going on here :/

E260 v2 won't start - necessary recovery mode
My e260 v2 won't start. After the logo screen, it says not "enough space for music DB. Please free 90 MB' and stops quickly. When I connect it to the computer, the computer recognizes it, but it does not appear in the Explorer. Indeed, the Explorer crashes if the Sansa is connected. Windows Media Player does not recognize it no more.
After reading this forum and other sources online, I thought that the solution to my problem was to go into recovery mode and reformatting. However, it will not be in recovery mode. After reading a bit more, I learned that models v2 is not recovery mode, but I have not found anyone mention what to do instead. So, how can I reset my Sansa to the factory settings?
The "not enough space" error is most often related to a file corruption. You will need to manually connect in MSC mode. Step 1 of the solution includes details on that for you.
Voila! It's pretty simple.

What model/year is your iMac? You may need your original installation disks to erase and reinstall.

My late 2009 Mac Mini supports a 2 TB HDD?
I am planning to install my Samsung 2 TB solid state drive internally, i.e. inside my late 2009 Mac Mini. Right now he is in an external enclosure and works very well. He really accelerated the performance of my "old" mini The improvement is dramatic enough. My Mini has 8 GB of RAM and runs warm, never hot. I'm afraid that even a disc SSD, which takes place usually cool in the external case, can heat things if installed inside the Mini. Thanks in advance for your answer.
-Steve
Yes provided that the thickness is 9.5 mm or thinner, which should be the case for one SSD.

royally botched vista, will be only the start in recovery mode is not serious what I seek
right, I have got myself into a right 2 and 8 here. After a long and boring fight with a virus that blocked my internet and evaluate in system32, I finally managed to remove it completely. but, after his retirement, vista started crashing when I went to connect, resulting completely garbled screen. safe mode has started very well, unless I tried to activate the networking, audio or one of my ladies of virus, which caused its lockout and plant too.
I took it to a friend at a repair shop who have kindly pointed out that, although I had removed the virus completely, or I seem to have also deleted a large number of system32 files, including the rundll32.exe all important. It recommended, as I disabled the system restore, I run the vista recovery partition to repair the damage. I did, but in my haste, I think that he overwrite some files, do not know that and now windows of only starts in recovery mode, choose any option. Even safe mode gets in the middle of the commissioning before she also starts the recovery program.
Oh and here's the strange thing, when vista crashed in the newspaper, the screen (in the background) was quite fuzzy and pixelated, but the mouse was not and in fact, was very good. This makes me think that it is perhaps a lack of graphics driver also, driver, or who could not run because of rundll32 or one of the other DLLs where missing.
So, what should I do? I have a lot of important files on the machine and I don't want to lose them. I have my vista disk, could I start out of it and run a repair by it? or if I can reinstall vista only? or I'll lose all my files in the procedure?
You can do a repair on Vista installation - but you must start Windows.
Here is the link: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html
I have a lot of success with this and usually sugest (like vader95) that you back up your stuff and do a new installation. We don't know what you're missing, and you're going to be fiddling around with him for always (IMO).
Good luck!

Can I use ram newest and fastest of the new iMac in 2009 Mac Mini?
I just got a new iMac 27 "2015 5K. I upgraded the RAM to 8 GB to 32 GB of ram. I have now 2 4 GB SODIMM to spare.
Does anyone know if the ram works in a Mini of Man 2009 (although the speed of the mini bus)?
New ram specifications:
PC3-12800 1600 Mhz 204 SODIMM CL - 11 1.35v pin
Mac mini ram Specs:
PIN from 204 to 1066 Mhz PC3-8500 SODIMM CL - 7 1, 5V
It will be in good physical shape, it must operate at 1066 MHz bus speed, but it is the tension that could be the problem.
I wouldn't take this 'thing' hand only to have it go 'beep' to me
It won't work, the bus on the old Mac is too slow for her

End of 2012 Mac Mini running slow - about to try the following
Hi all
The performance of my Mac Mini is trying to drop off and looking for possible solutions to this, I can in this thread: Mac Mini (end 2012) is a little slow.
A few months ago I updated to El Capitan, and am now on 10.11.3. Since this update, my system performance fell substantially. I would like to see if I can get my Mini for best results there lately. One of the questions I think contributes to the Mini, less than excellent performance is my router configuration because of environmental constraints, my Mini has 2 walls and about 50 feet, which separates it from the wireless router. Currently, I don't think that there is something I can do to help that issue, so for now, I put that side.
In reading the above thread, I have also still only 4 original GB or RAM and the original supplied with my Mini.
RAM: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
HD: I have not changed the HD that came with the mini, so I guess I have the 2.5 GHz 500 GB (5400 RPM) hard drive it is stated in the specifications.
Lately, I noticed Chrome running progressively slower (to the point of frustration). Therefore, I uninstalled Chrome and returned using Safari. As more and more, I use Safari, I think that his performance is what it is. I tried the Brave and my experience with it is mixed (at least on this point).
Question: I guess the first thing to do is to increase my RAM to 4 GB - and I will order the RAM here in a moment. What browser is best to use in this case: Chrome? Safari? Brave? Something else? Or it is better to run through all these during the upgrade of RAM is installed?
Let me start with that and I will update this thread as mandate experience. Thanks in advance for any help and / or thoughts.
When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is particularly bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Run the Console application in one of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).
☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages
in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select
List of newspapers seen ▹ display
in the menu at the top of the screen bar.
Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Highlight date back to the time you noted above.
Select the messages entered since then until the end of the episode, or until they begin to repeat, whichever comes first.
Copy messages to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.
The journal contains a large amount of information, almost all this is useless to solve any particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.
Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
When you post the journal excerpt, an error message may appear on the web page: "you include content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.
If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

Hello
I have a few late 2014 Mac Mini running 10.10.5 and other mini once a week or so would just restart itself couple of times during the morning and then would be perfect for a week or two. I checked the updates ran Etrecheck and deleted or fixed in red, rebuilt permissions, rebooted in safe mode and then restart, reset the SMC. Not sure what is the cause and how to decipher the crash logs. Someone from Apple can decipher it for me?
Much appreciated!

end of 2014 Mac Mini and HDMI port.
I have a 23-inch VGA screen. I connected it to my Mac Mini end 2014 via one of its ports Thunderbolt. I need to free this port for other uses. Do I have to use the HDMI port? Thank you.
The Mini end of 2014 has towing Thunderbolt ports. Why not use both?
Here are a few HDMI > VGA converters

My Mac Mini end of 2014 cannot add everything exceeds 8 GB RAM cable.
I don't know why Mac was given the opportunity to add more RAM as applications become more and more wide and double my RAM will allow me to run applications of additional third party all in post processing my images.
I have my Mac Mini 2011 with a Thunderbolt Plug and a delay in 2014 with 2 Sockets Thunderbolt
I just want to connect two computers so that I can use 8 + 8 = 16 GB of RAM for photography post-processing.
Buy everything just a Thunderbolt Apple cable to connect two computers and be speed up along?
I'll probably have to update the old OS Mini at El Capitan
Thank you!
No. but you can connect both via TB for quick file sharing

Hello! I had a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 for quite awhile and discovered that I need a new facility (the computer refuses to Windows to run at all). I picked up my installation disc and everything, only to find out that someone stole completely
