  Hi all

  There must be a simple solution for this, but it's Friday afternoon, and my brain is not cooperating.

  I create a simple terminal through which a user can interact with an instrument. My question is about the only query string control. The button send and the Terminal Table are here for reference.

  

  Here is my desired behavior:

  (a) the user types a command in the field of the query, tape input or return. An event is triggered, and the request is sent to the instrument. The focus remains on the field in the query.

  (b) with any other action the interface user, the user types Enter or return again and again, by triggering an event that sends the request to the instrument every time Enter or return is typed. The focus remains on the field in the query.

  Here's what I have:

  

  This allows for one), but fails to b). The reason is, because the value of the field in the query has not changed, change value event does not fire when the user starts to spam keys enter or return. There is a way around this, as suggested by this post. Here is the solution in a few words:

  

  Instead of looking for the change in the value of the query command, the event fires for each key event to the bottom of the control and resembles a pressure of enter key or return. What attracts the user action, even if the content of the field of the request have not changed. The problem with this approach is that, when this event fires, I need to read the value of the query string order and send it to the instrument, but the value I get via the local Variable query is the old value, probably because the key down event fires before the value of query is saved as changed. Is there a way to programatically "enter" the contents of the control channel so it is recorded as a change in value, until I have the question via a local Variable? Is there a different way I should go about it? I'd rather not do anything that bound the input keys or return to this particular area, since I have many other UI elements that need these keys in my program.

  If not, is there a way to make the control of the fire 'Change of value' query string event when the user presses enter or return even if the value has not changed?

  I thought about it.

  (1) control of the string (query) a value of update while typing.

  (2) save the key event down to the control of the chain. If the entry or return was pressed, send the state machine to the State 'send request '.

  This is the desired behavior to allow the user repeatedly hit entry or return to regularly send a command, and the user can also type in a new order and send it by pressing enter or return.

• Combine events "Key Down" and "ValueChange?

  I have a string control box where a bar code is entered. I want to discover two events that should trigger the same action:

• Passing values to sub VI and write data to controls

  As part of a control for a VFD interface I am interfacing with via Modbus TCP, I wanted to try some of my code partition in a Subvi

  However, in doing so, I will be very difficult to understand how I can read the current settings of player for the ramp up and down values and update these values in the front of my control.

  The Vi sub is tested and works exactly as I want. Selection playback (system lock on pressed) reads the registers of the reader and exports controls and indicators. The indicators have been included because I didn't know how to move the data off the sub vi without them. Update of work to write the current value in the controls in the VFD logs.

  However when I integrate my project more extensive this VI values are always represented by zeros if I lock switch. However, I see a momentary flash of the correct values after pressing the play button or if I change the closing operation changed, however, I would prefer that it to opperate in a mode of closing in order to reduce the overhead costs of communication on the disc.

  A number of suggestions:

  1. use references and property nodes to define indicators FP of a Subvi (you can learn more here and here)

  2. do not put the indicators of production inside the case. When the case is not read, the VI generates the default values to the outputs and gives you the values null.

• White boot screen then... Enter keys cmos and BIOS?

  At boot I have a totally white screen until after a minute, and I get Windows Welcome. Everything is fine in the case. I thought it was a default CMOS?  How to see startup messages, and which key that will allow changing the CMOS and BIOS? Tried F10, 2, 6, and same F8'm in safe mode? Hope I don't have to do a full restore? Thank you!

  I suspect that this is perhaps the monitor instead of the computer.  Try to turn on the monitor with more than a warm-up before time then turn on the computer.

• ButtonField who works for normal click and also occurs a different action with a key down and click on

  I have a bunch of buttons on my main screen. They currently do something when you click on it. I want to make them do something different when ALT-clicked. I built them as:

  Then I assigns each a ChangeListener which then redirects this specific to a specific code listener.

  How can I run an ALT + click on a different code of FieldChangeListener?

  I have several buttons on a screen. All work now with: 1. click on Trackpad 2. Touch-click 3. Enter-click

  I want each button to be able to do two things:

  1. a thing with an ALT-activate(by any of the three ways as seen above)

  2. a normal else activate (by one of three ways as seen above)

  Dominant Navigation click would not however to ALT-Enter and Alt-Touch(The way I want it is that these two do #1 from above too). Correct or not?

  In the simplest possible terms:

  Each button will make a specific thing turn on and another thing different specific on ALT-putting into service.

  Right now, they work absolutely fine to do a thing. But I'll try to find a way to make them also to do something else on ALT-putting into service.

  I think if I can somehow make a way to get the true/false if ALT is pressed during a change of field and then do an if/then based on this information in each fieldChanged method so I should be good.

  Update: well, I got the errors go away with your code above. At least press Alt-Trackpad works. I'm going with it. Thank you!

• Pavilion DV-7: My display brightness is down and I can't control it

  I have a Pavilion DV - 7 with windows 10 on it.  Recently, my screen went dark on my buttons for the brightness has stopped working and not where.  It's really hard to work on a computer that is half of the zero shine please help.  I don't know what happened!  I don't know where the luminosities are 10 windows, I tried inside the power options, but no luck.  HELP PLEASE!

  In the meantime, I just uninstall the AMD driver through the Device Manager and it solved the problem, at least for the moment. I don't know that it will try to install it again with a future set of updates. For now, I'll hang on and wait until the next break.

• How to separate the 'down' key panel and digital control

  I have a key to proecess vi events for Panel and a digital control in this Panel. the app will do:

  1. when the Panel is focused, allows the user 'up' and 'down' to the driver of some hardware.

  2. when the digital control is activated, 'up' and 'down' change its value as usual.

  somehow the other did not, because the round table 'touch down' was trigger as well when I use «to the top "'down' key aminata CNC.»

  Then, I used "Key down?" digital control to block the "up/down" key But the first time, when I run the Vi, the Panel always got triggered only once.

  any suggestions on this? test code attached to this post too.

  It works for me in 2014.  In short, you just need to check to see if your digital has the focus.  If it isn't, then you treat the value of the key.  No need of any other event here except the stop button.

  You may have accidentally entered mode 'Keyboard Navigation. The F7 key will toggle "Keyboard Navigation" on or off.

  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  Hi all

  My Hp laptop has been a serious problem. His space, Enter, Delete, up and down arrows have stopped working. I do not know how this problem caused. I went through various patches, which were so-

  1 Rstoring a date earliar.

  2 reinstall the Keyboard driver

  3. System formatting.

  The third difficulty formatting helped me and my keys started working. After few days I installed HP Network Manager software but it after installing it again these keys stopped working and also the shift caps lock LED lights and a Wi - fi connection do not turn on, but these two are functioning normally.

  the part of the information on my laptop HP are-

  Model: Pavilion G6

  4 GB RAM.

  OS: Windows 7 Home Basic

  can someone please suggest me it is a hardware problem or some software/driver related? And also what next I do to solve this serious problem...

• Could not load any websites. I don't get any 'error message', the 'enter' key has no effect in the address bar. Works fine in FF and IE search box.

  Entering a URL in the address bar and pressing on enter does nothing. Or the 'enter' key or 'address arrow bar', to go to the site function. Web site does not load and no error message appears. 'Enter' key works very well in the FF and IE search box, is not my keyboard.

   Tried most of the recommended fixes under the "Error loading websites" article with the exception of "DNS refetching", as typing "about:config" in the location bar does no good as the "enter button" won't function. I've removed and re-added FF back into the windows firewall, removed ZoneAlarm from my system, edited proxy settings, deleted and reinstalled FF several times. NOTHING WORKS!!! I'm a die hard FF fan and this is KILLING me. Please HELP!!!
  

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
