"Enter network password" popup will not stop appearing, how to stop this? Outlook 2007 audit has aol.

OK, I know that this question was asked before here and other places, but I tried a lot of things and still cannot get him to stop.

I use Outlook 2007 to access my aol e-mail account. Until recently it has been works well with none or very few problems. All of a sudden this week, the window 'Enter network password' guard chronically arise with all fields filled already, but you will need to click ok to remove. This happens once in a blue moon in the past, maybe once every 3 weeks to a month and then happen not for awhile. But from this week, it occurs once every 5 minutes about an hour every day. (Has happened twice since I started typing this so far.) This is incredibly annoying doesn't even begin to describe. For more far to annoy me, I have a rule to configure in Outlook where some emails get sent to my work address while I'm not home and when this box appears here at home while I'm at work, nothing doesn't get passed, nothing happens anywhere because I'm not here to click ok in the darn box!
OK, to cut to the Chase, I have Windows XP with Outlook 2007 here, and I checked my aol email. All parameters have been controlled and tested and is exactly the same as when it was working fine. Other things that can help to know, I have McAfee Antivirus on the computer and the router wireless Belkin F5D8235-4 low. I had McAfee antivirus for many years without any problems and I got the router hooked ever since November 2009 with no problems until now that is.
Here is what I tried so far, all have not helped at all: (I thought that I would tell you which has been tried and didn't work, so we don't waste time on them).
1 has created a new Outlook profile. Did not stop the pop ups.
2 Ran Outlook in safe mode for non-Microsoft services would not be executed. Did not stop the pop ups.
3. saved registry and the information of the user account deleted from the options of password subkey, and then reinstated "Protected Storage System Provider. Did not stop the pop ups.
4. disabled in McAfee messaging protection. Did not stop the pop ups. (Just got a new one! Ugh.)
5 Rebooted/Restarted router. Did not stop the pop ups.
I'm currently at the "I got Nothin'" point about what should be judged then.
Anyone has any idea what this might be outside what I already tried?
I am altogether strung here and it drives me crazy. Anyone have any ideas?
Jim.

Update for me.
Because I changed my e-mail verification of the intervals of 5-10 minutes, there was a considerable improvement in this issue. For a while it has virtually disappeared, it was like the good old days when it happened almost never.
A few week days last the problem returned with a vengeance, as bad as when it reached its maximum when I started this thread. But I went on google and found a lot of internet chatter, suggesting that it seems to be a question of aol - across the network to an end, given that many people in the country had the same problems. So, it looks that I have would have been doing the pop-ups regardless.
It seems that to subject the week last, aol themselves have had major problems to their e-mail systems based on internet comments there from other customers, so by doing this problem much more difficult to solve since now you know exactly what is the first cause pop-ups until aol gets their end of it solved. I can certainly tell you that raise the time intervals to send/receive 5 to 10 minutes doesn't seem to go very far to solve problems with pop-ups. Even though I'm still trying, here and there, I think that those that I received lately have been due to problems at AOL more so than mine, based on reviews other aol users. I hope that I may be at the end of the tunnel on this subject but thanks to what is happening to their end (aol), I can't say for sure yet. I'll keep you posted.

  • "iPod is disabled connect to iTunes"-what it means, even if sometimes I enter the password, it will not open the iPod?

    Hey guys,.

I have an iPod touch 5G and I forgot the password for it. And, as far as I know, that I don't ever put it automatically become invalid after a certain number of retries evil enter the 4 numbers.

Well, I was guessing the days now and every mere conjecture was wrong. I don't remember the password! Now, he says: "iPod is disabled connect to iTunes".

Because he has apparently disabled now, (1) is this mean enter the correct password (if sometimes I enter it correctly!) will not work? And (2) how long he will remain handicapped for?

    Any help would be great!

    Thank you.

    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

As a wild guess, maybe you have a laptop and have helped with your NumLocks?  This would cause the j, k, l, u, i, o and p keys do not act normally.  If this is the case, try to hit the 'num lock' key once to disable it and see if you can now enter your password.

  • Google mail is taken offline and will not return.  How to remedy this?

I have a new MacAir.  I recently updated to the account of Google browser to use as the source for my gmail account.  Since its acquisition last week, he regularly went offline for recovery of emails but reappeared after several minutes (and through procedures online reactive which, so far, have worked) and I can't understand how to bring it back online.  The gmail account and emails are accessible via the web using the gmail account and password that worked in the past, but everything I've tried has failed to download in the Mac Air has not worked since.  Gmail downloads work on all other products Apple, including Mac, iPhone and iPad.  Only the new MacAir is causing problems.

Messaging uses two servers, a sending server and a receiving server. When you initially configure Apple mail, he pretended that they are the same and tries to use the same credentials for both.

Sometimes, the problem is only to the sender, or only in the receiver.

Mail > window > connection doctor...

... will show you the status of each independently, so that you can go right tot the source of the problem and fix it by clicking on the red light, as appropriate.

If you pick up mail on multiple devices (you mentioned an iPhone and iPad) you will want to choose Protocol IMAP rather than pop.

  • A window opens all the minutes titled 'Enter Network Password',

    Original title: help please!

I am running Windows XP.  My problem is the following:-a window opens all few minutes entitled "Enter network password", it may be either of my current ISP or the previous one which I did not have long.  In this case no matter what I do on the computer.  Can someone help me get rid of this?

If you no longer use a modem, you can safely remove all access to remote connections. Proceed as before you make the Connections tab and remove all connections by modem listed. I hope your problem will disappear. I can't explain why with "never dial" selected, you still get those dialups. Maybe you have some malicious software trying to get an internet connection in this way?

Do a full with your normal AV and then scan also with scanners to demand free MBAM and SAS. You can always delete them after scanning if you wish.

    Hi marcus,

    1. What is the full error message that you receive?

    2. have you recently trying to install a program on the computer?

    Method 1

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you perform a clean boot and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then repair Microsoft office on the computer and check if it works.

I keep getting unwanted pop-up windows. The pop up asks me verify my user name and password. I have this and continue to get this pop - up every 1-2 seconds. It makes it almost impossible to work... Please help!

If you use Outlook Express, then you get the prompt because it's to check an email account and he failed to connect properly.  He will not stop and prompt you unless you press the Cancel button.  Then go to tools | Options and you can set when OE should check for mail and you can exclude an account from the check under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties and set the correct credentials there.

If you do not OE, then we must be more explicit as to what is causing the prompt, what windows are open, that said the title bar of the command prompt?  Its impossible to answer your question otherwise.

  • Look at the maps app will not stop

When I look for direction in the maps on the watch application, it will not stop after that. I looked for directions to the airport, and then it does not cancel and kept taking me to the airport. I have ensured the application Maps on my phone was not working and he cancelled it but always watch will not stop.

I tried it yesterday and now today the watch gives me directions to the airport.

I tried to remove it from the docking, restarted my watch. Watch app from the phone Checked, but nothing works.

To stop your watch directions: open the Maps app on your watch > firmly press the display > press on for policy decisions.

  • The SPACEBAR keystroke will not stop.

My iMac recently started having a problem where the system gets a touch SPACEBAR which will not stop. I think that is what is happening based on the spaces added to the text on the screen in different applications, and from the keyboard Viewer which shows the SPACEBAR constantly depressed.

This isn't a device keyboard problem. I tried several keyboards. I also tried to unplug all connected to the mac and rebooting. The problem persists. I stop after several reboots (which seems a coincidence). I have also reset the PRAM, which seemed to have fixed, but now he is back (after about 24 hours).

I don't know what else to try. I have not installed new hardware in the computer, since I bought it (upgrade of ram). It worked fine for 1.5 years.

Try resetting the SMC by iMac SMC and PRAM reset, it may take several resets to work.

  • Tried to import pictures. Will not stop or go away and I can't turn off my laptop

I was importing pictures from a SD card to my Macbook pro and tried to do them all at once. There were about 700 pictures. Once, I moved their this tab below that presented themselves. After about 5 minutes of nothing don't be going on I tried again and now there are 2. I waited about an hour and nothing changed so I pressed X to stop the copy, and now it won't go away. He won't let me leave and because it will not stop I can't turn off my computer. What should I do to get rid of this.

The easy way to recover is to hold down the power button until it turns off the MacBook Pro. Press the power button to restart the MacBook Pro.
