"Enter network password"

As I added a Yahoo email account for my wife, I get "Enter network password".  I don't know what password I'm supposed to enter.  I tried to enter my password that I use to access my Verizon account as well as my Yahoo account, but none of these work.  In the e-mail configuration, everything looks OK.  I'm lost and this pop is extremely annoying.  I need immediate assistance.

  • "Enter network password" popup will not stop appearing, how to stop this? Outlook 2007 audit has aol.

OK, I know that this question was asked before here and other places, but I tried a lot of things and still cannot get him to stop.

I use Outlook 2007 to access my aol e-mail account. Until recently it has been works well with none or very few problems. All of a sudden this week, the window 'Enter network password' guard chronically arise with all fields filled already, but you will need to click ok to remove. This happens once in a blue moon in the past, maybe once every 3 weeks to a month and then happen not for awhile. But from this week, it occurs once every 5 minutes about an hour every day. (Has happened twice since I started typing this so far.) This is incredibly annoying doesn't even begin to describe. For more far to annoy me, I have a rule to configure in Outlook where some emails get sent to my work address while I'm not home and when this box appears here at home while I'm at work, nothing doesn't get passed, nothing happens anywhere because I'm not here to click ok in the darn box!
OK, to cut to the Chase, I have Windows XP with Outlook 2007 here, and I checked my aol email. All parameters have been controlled and tested and is exactly the same as when it was working fine. Other things that can help to know, I have McAfee Antivirus on the computer and the router wireless Belkin F5D8235-4 low. I had McAfee antivirus for many years without any problems and I got the router hooked ever since November 2009 with no problems until now that is.
Here is what I tried so far, all have not helped at all: (I thought that I would tell you which has been tried and didn't work, so we don't waste time on them).
1 has created a new Outlook profile. Did not stop the pop ups.
2 Ran Outlook in safe mode for non-Microsoft services would not be executed. Did not stop the pop ups.
    3. saved registry and the information of the user account deleted from the options of password subkey, and then reinstated "Protected Storage System Provider. Did not stop the pop ups.
    4. disabled in McAfee messaging protection. Did not stop the pop ups. (Just got a new one! Ugh.)
5 Rebooted/Restarted router. Did not stop the pop ups.
I'm currently at the "I got Nothin'" point about what should be judged then.
Anyone has any idea what this might be outside what I already tried?
I am altogether strung here and it drives me crazy. Anyone have any ideas?
    Jim.

    Update for me.
Because I changed my e-mail verification of the intervals of 5-10 minutes, there was a considerable improvement in this issue. For a while it has virtually disappeared, it was like the good old days when it happened almost never.
A few week days last the problem returned with a vengeance, as bad as when it reached its maximum when I started this thread. But I went on google and found a lot of internet chatter, suggesting that it seems to be a question of aol - across the network to an end, given that many people in the country had the same problems. So, it looks that I have would have been doing the pop-ups regardless.
It seems that to subject the week last, aol themselves have had major problems to their e-mail systems based on internet comments there from other customers, so by doing this problem much more difficult to solve since now you know exactly what is the first cause pop-ups until aol gets their end of it solved. I can certainly tell you that raise the time intervals to send/receive 5 to 10 minutes doesn't seem to go very far to solve problems with pop-ups. Even though I'm still trying, here and there, I think that those that I received lately have been due to problems at AOL more so than mine, based on reviews other aol users. I hope that I may be at the end of the tunnel on this subject but thanks to what is happening to their end (aol), I can't say for sure yet. I'll keep you posted.

  • A window opens all the minutes titled 'Enter Network Password',

    Original title: help please!

I am running Windows XP.  My problem is the following:-a window opens all few minutes entitled "Enter network password", it may be either of my current ISP or the previous one which I did not have long.  In this case no matter what I do on the computer.  Can someone help me get rid of this?

If you no longer use a modem, you can safely remove all access to remote connections. Proceed as before you make the Connections tab and remove all connections by modem listed. I hope your problem will disappear. I can't explain why with "never dial" selected, you still get those dialups. Maybe you have some malicious software trying to get an internet connection in this way?

Do a full with your normal AV and then scan also with scanners to demand free MBAM and SAS. You can always delete them after scanning if you wish.

    Hi all

I have one two PC with Windows XP Pro & the other with Windows 7 Pro. I've implemented a network & it seems to work but when I try to access my XP Machine from Windows 7 to ask me to enter the network password. My xp machine I can access the pc windows 7 very well so I do not understand why this network password W7.

Did some research on the net and here's what I did to solve the problem that has been produced

Allowing access to the network without password

To allow users to log on to their computer without password and then access the XP Professional machine without a password, you must make a change security policy:

    1. Go to Control Panel | Performance and Maintenance | Administrative Tools | Local security policy.
    2. Expand local policies | Security options.
    3. Double-click on accounts: limit local account passwords using empty for the connection to the console only, which is enabled by default. Disable this option and click OK.

It stopped at the dialog box access network appearing when trying to access my windows xp machine 7!

The server does not recognize my name and my password.

You must manually go to microsoft outlook and check again the information, as it is y a. not the configuration screen. You must edit your pop3 to HTTP and then any e-mail provider, use: www.yahoo.com and enter it in just like that. Then update your password and other and voila your in. I have this problem all the time. Whenever you change your password, you must update outlook manually. I do not use outlook for more than one e-mail address. Just pick one and use it.

Help. I have Win7 Professional on a computer that has a shared folder on the network. I'm trying to "Connect to a network drive," with computers running Windows XP, Vista and 7, (professional and commercial versions) as well as OSX. I used to use the folder shared on a computer with XP and had no problems mapping. On all my computers that want to connect to the shared folder, I get "Enter Network Password" I want to be able to use the connection without entering my credentials. Someone knows how to fix this? I tried to use Google to find the answer, and this is my last option. I already protected by word sharing off in advanced sharing settings. http://d.PR/i/tHUH<- that="" is="" a="" secure="" link="" to="" my="">

It asks for username and password computers. If XPSWIN7 is the computer that you connect to try then your user name and password for this computer. If TI errors off then try

  • Part of a homegroup, and shared files are still ask for a network password

    Hello

I'll try to give as much information as I can so that I hope someone can help me with this problem.
I'm running Windows 8 pro and my other computer has Windows 8 pro.  On both systems, I am running Windows on a SSD, and I share the folders that are on a hard disk of data as well as access to an external hard drive connected to one of the computers.
Both computers are part of the same homegroup.  Both computers are password protected (at startup).  I use one of the computers and my husband the other use it so all of us, the newspapers in our own computer via our Acct. Microsoft computers also "turn off password protected sharing" selected in advanced sharing settings.  Both computers say that we are the administrator in respect of user accounts.
My husband can access all my files shared from his computer, generally with no problems, but on occasion, he is invited to "Enter network password" of Windows Security.  I almost always have this problem while trying to access its shared folders and the external hard drive that is connected to his computer.
We have tried to share the folders on your computer in several ways:
    Share with homegroup
    Share with everyone
    Share with >
with total control over each of them and I get the message that precedes, or sometimes he tells my I can't access this drive.  Also, one thing I forgot is that each of our computers, said that the other user has the credentials in Credential Manager.
I feel like part of my problem is while the computer says I'm an administrator, I have always problems to the administrator.  When I try to install new software (this happened to me with Dropbox) I had to right click on the .exe and run as administrator.  I also had set my Adobe Photoshop Lightroom on run as administrator under 'Compatibility' for all work processes.
I am at a loss to know what to do.  I did a clean install with my Windows 8 disk to see if it was only a problem with I've originally set up the system.  If anyone can help, I would be very happy.  I feel like I'm missing just this thing that's right in front of me that I can't because I'm too close to the issue.

    Hi Candace,

I suggest to restore all security permissions, then check the issue.

Follow these steps to do so.

    a. open the command prompt by pressing the Windows key + X , and then click on (Admin) command prompt.

    b. typesecedit/configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf/db defltbase.sdb / verbose and press ENTER.

I suggest to run Homegroup troubleshooter and check for the issue. It will tell you if there is something wrong in the homegroup connection. See the link to do so.

I'm currently traveling but I am unable to choose a network from the list of networks that appear.  (I entered it from a family computer.) Then when I click on connect, it takes me to the screen to enter the password.  However, it won't let me type the password.  I tried to copy the password of a MSWord document and it copied 8 nine characters, but still wouldn't let me add the last character.  Any ideas?

I must point out however that I have just went to Starbucks and was able to connect to their wireless network without having to enter a password, and I don't have a problem connecting to my home network either.  Thanks for your help.

  • I get repeated requests to enter the network password

I get repeated requests popping up asking me to enter my network password. I tried to turn off my scanner antivirus e-mail that I had been informed, this could be the source of the problem, but it is still happenning. Help!

    Hello

If you are referring to the logon wireless password, try this.

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

If all the foregoing is OK and it does not connect to the wireless router. Journal from any computer that is or may be connected to the wireless router with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security .

If it doesn't work without security.

Swirch on security on the router and redo a new password.

Then look at the management of the computer wireless and remove all entries here.

Control Panel, network and sharing Center. Upper-left click Manage wireless networks.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Vista/wireless_manager.jpg

After cleaning, connect from taskbar tray wireless icon.

Given that your wireless network is more in the preferred list, it will prompt for the password. Put the password that is current, and if all goes well it will connect.
