Envy-15: Downgrade new notebook with Windows to Windows 7 (drivers) 10

Hi, I just bought a new laptop with 10 Windows preinstalled as the base OS.

For various reasons, I want to upgrade to Windows 7. I have an authentic copy of the retail of Windows 7 with a valid license key. What I really need is drivers for Windows 7. I prefer to do this by creating a separate partition, but I'm open to a full erase of the disk.

I've tested. I created a new partition, installed Windows 7 (it is not drive C). I immediately found the drivers to be a major issue. Much of the original Win 10 drivers will be not even install on Windows 7. Some keys, such as the USB controller and the graphics are not found. Windows Update does not have both. Thus, for example, nothing is detected when I connect via a USB port. Another problem is that when I started in Windows 10, he couldn't restore anything from the recovery partition D. I don't know if I made a mistake, Windows is confused, or what happened. In this spirit, I restored the image of the system from a backup made a week in advance.

(P.s. I know that Win 10 drivers are available on the Web site. If you install Windows 7 after that Win 10 is a problem (for example 7 not seen the C drive, I am open to wipe the disk entirely, starting with 7, which makes my base OS, if I can get drivers, then add 10 win.) Also, I have a valid license key to win 10 outside this new laptop and really have the driver support. I have several system images and history of files is active, so I can return if necessary.)

I'd appreciate any help!

Thank you

You are the very welcome.

You will have to make the most of the drivers directly from the Web sites of the mfr of material and we hope they work.

  • If FF 39.0 on a new PC with Windows 7 Pro 64 bits - in the sidebar search results bBookmarks are slow - is new facility there a solution for this?

Recently I've just set up a new PC with Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) as the operating system. I just imported bookmarks from my PC in one. HTML file, I created from my old PC. Now whenever I type a search term in the search box to refine my search for one of my favorites of many, sometimes even by typing in the term search begins to lag while I'm typing more letters. Search term/terms once entered, it seems to take 15-20 seconds before the results list appears. This used to be almost instantaneous in this same version of FF (39.0) on my old PC 64 bit of Windows 7 (Home Premium) to bring up the results. I already tried to install the add-on called "signed 1.3.1 - 0 maintenance of the premises and this time there really doesn't make any difference that it helped when I got FF 38.0.5 on my old PC to Win 7 64-bit." • I have a new laptop with Windows 7. The navigation (?) bar comes and goes, depending on the position of the cursor. I wish it were still visible. What should do?

I just downloaded and configured FireFox for my new computer with Windows 7. I've included restaurateur Classic theme in my Add ons. I have only 1 bar (Navigation (?)) at the top of the screen, under the tabs. It has everything I need in there, but I want it to be stationary, rather than appearing when I move the cursor towards it & if I move the cursor away in endangered. I would like to be able to see the bar without having to stop what I'm doing to make it reappear. This seems to be a novelty. My old version of several weeks, do not. Help, please. Thank you...

I can't think of anyway to make the Navigation bar appear/disappear based on the direction in which you move your mouse.

Well, there is the view full screen, where the area of entire toolbar including the tabs slide bar up out of the screen and reappears if you drag the pointer of the mouse completely to the top. (You can use the F11 key to activate the full screen on and outside).

    burningbush,
It can also be a problem with the game running through Facebook server.  I noticed a difference in great step lately with Farmville on Facebook compared to when I started playing.  You should check to see if it seems to be the same on the other PC.  I noticed the problem on several machines in different places, so I know that it was not limited to a PC.

  • I bought a new computer with Windows 7 free upgrade. We also have another office.

I bought a new computer with Windows 7 free upgrade. We also have another desktop computer. My son has paid and downloaded Windows 7 Home Premium on this computer (Asus), not knowing that I had the free update. ASUS sent me free upgrade disks. Can I use these on another desktop computer? Or I can download Windows on another desktop computer and transfer my registration to it, and then use the Asus drives on this computer?

Your question has nothing to do with the functionality of Windows Update (vs Windows upgrade), Jan.

That being said, Asus only can answer your specific question. Good luck!

    2. If your computer has multiple operating systems installed, use the arrow keys to select the operating system that you want to start using the last good known Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows will then resume starting normally.

  • Is it possible to buy a new computer with Windows XP or buy one with Windows 7 and remove it and install Windows XP? I have

I now have a computer with Windows XP and wanted to buy a new computer.  All new computers come with Windows 7.  Is it possible to buy a new computer with Windows XP (or buy one with Windows 7 and remove it and install Windows XP)?   I like XP and have talked to people who are not really happy with Windows7 and holds XP back.  AND I also discovered that my printer is not compatible with Windows 7 - it is not that I love him and want to keep it.  I can't afford to buy a new computer AND printer, since I have been unemployed for more than 2-1/2 years.   I would like to use XP on a new computer!   I would appreciate it if you could let me know what is possible or if I'm stuck with my old computer.  Thank you very much!

Probably not, you will find a computer with XP on it.

If you buy a computer with Windows 7, you will first need to know if it would be compatible with Windows XP. Probably not, because they are not designed for XP and drivers are not available.

Unless you want to spend the time, you're stuck with your old computer.
