  I have a Macbook Pro bought in September, which had to go to the repair and the hard drive has been wiped. Now I have it back it does not recognize my password.  I managed to set up another account, but now it will not accept the password for it.  When I started it up in recovery mode, I was not given the option of disk utility, but it has a black screen and check wifi.  The spinning wheel takes approximately 20 hours now.  Please can someone help, I'm desperate.  This is where the good old fashioned CD would have been useful. I'm on Yosemite.

  I've been setting up a new monitor, Pavilion 22 forbw and our laptop brand new, Pavilion x 2 10 detouchable.  When we tried to solve a black band around window, we have adjusted the configuration of the monitor.  Since we are new on both devices and win 8 or 8.1 we must have done something we did not want.  As you may have guessed, we are not really competent in PC set ups.

  I have 2 Yahoo accounts.  I recently changed my phone number, but Yahoo has only my old #.  I forgot my password and the only way I prove who I am actually by texting Yahoo me a code on my phone.  I tried every way I can perhaps think.  Yahoo support is totally useless to me.  I tried Windows Support, I tried Microsoft Support, with the lucky number at all.  The only thing I can guess is that 'YAHOO' is a completely fake company.  Why will they NOT allow someone to talk to them?  There are a few phone numbers you can come up with that say they are in favor of Yahoo, but NOT to call these numbers.  They are hypocrites who say they help you to a certain amount of money.  And they are NOT even from this country.  This has been a problem for me, which lasts for about 5 months now.  I believe that in addition to losing irreplaceable photos and emails, I have perhaps also lost emails again, may be very important.  Is there anyone out there who CAN HELP me?        P.S.
