Envy 15 Notebook PC TS: Sound that crosses BOTH laptop and headphones

Hi, since last week, whenever I plug my headphones in my laptop sound through BOTH the laptop speakers and my helmet. It worked perfectly last week. My laptop is not a Realtek driver, there IDT with beats. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the latest drivers, and if I had realtek I would be able to change the settings. Please help me as soon as POSSIBLE.

Hi @Ikhlazz

I regret that the diagnosis did not help.

I try to reinstall the original drivers by using the Recovery Manager using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8) and then run the HP Support Assistant to update the drivers.

Then, I would try a Refresh Your PC to solve problems (Windows 8). This will reinstall the operating system.  If the laptop comes with Windows 8, it is what will be reinstalled, and you must update again.

Windows 8 to 8.1 update

If it is still not resolved, I would like to do a full restore in the factory.  Performing a recovery of HP (Windows 8) system

During this process, you will have a chance to back up your data to avoid data loss. If you do not have one yet, this is the perfect opportunity.

Restore files that have been supported to the top using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 8)

If the issue should still be visible, I suggest to contact HP support for assistance. They can access your system remotely to help find and correct problems.

Good luck!

Two invites on 1 page in Indesign that when exporting to adobe reader in pdf format, I can simply add new names that populate both copies and then be printable. Any help out there is how to make an invitation in Indesign, but now how to make 2 copies on a single page that someone else ie the customer can add their own names. So each field name must complete on both guest. Sounds simple, but is not really there to help. I think he called an interactive pdf. Thanks in advance.

AutoFill is the easiest part, he lies. If both fields have the same name, they will have the same content: type in one and it appears in the other.

  • HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC: HP Envy 15 action keys works do not (F9, F10 and F11)

My laptop has been working fine since purchase, but last week, I noticed that action F10 F10 & F9 keys (jump, play/pause, skip) did not work for their function. Before last week I could just press the key to activate, I read other posts of this forum and the answers did not work pressing fn + alt + (key action), either by pressing fn + key action. To make this work I need to access the bios screen and change the default values, but it only works when the laptop is on. If I turn the laptop, turn again he resorts right back to does not. Action all other keys work e.g. keyboard backlight, volume, brightness, etc.

    Any solutions would be welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hello @Spudy96,

Thank you for your quick response!

You can try to perform a System Restore.  If this does not work, then you could also try to install the previous version of the BIOS of your Support Site.  Let me know how it goes.

Audio: IDT High Def Audio CODEC / pilot: stwrt64.sys V.6.10.6491.0

Question: In the past months, my sound will go off randomly automatically.  If I close the lid and let the computer in to sleep mode or if I restart the computer, the sound comes back.  When the sound disappeared, the volume buttons on the keyboard, so to work with a lag and the mute on the keyboard does not work.  Try to use the sound test, or even navigate the tabs in the Properties section of speaker to accuse also considerably by the sound does not work.

I noticed other things: I was watching a youtube video when the sound came out, I left the chrome tab that I used for the video and the sound comes back a few seconds later.  He then disappeared a few seconds after I opened a new tab and returned to watch the video.  I had also the same thing happens with the help of a video editing software - quit the application, sound came back, returned to the software, sound went out after a few seconds.  I also had both sound back after going to the speaker properties - Advanced tab and switch format, by selecting the test button and clicking on OK when a message saying "the sound system is in use, taking the test can cause the application to fail" (or something similar).

I tried to use various utilities for troubleshooting when the problem occurs - the find and troubleshooting audio fix is no problem AND the device is listed as working properly in Device Manager.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest drivers for the IDT HD Audio CODEC several times - no help.  In addition, the problem has been resolved not when I converted briefly to Windows (back to windows 8.1) 10.  In addition, I tried to use the other pilot of "High definition Audio Device" in place and place of the IDT CODEC, but the same problem happened - sound turns off randomly until I rebooted or put my computer to sleep.

I'm pretty computer - savy but I can't seem to understand what the problem is.  It doesn't seem to be a hardware problem or the sound would probably not come back so quickly or clearly as it does...

One last piece of information: I noticed that the first time that I reinstalled the Windows audio 24/06/2015 - and also several updates were installed on the 23 & 24 June - watching these updates to see if they are the cause of the problem.

My father had a speaker bluetooth for Christmas - I tried it out on my computer because it works completely independently of my sound card and it was working fine.

I bought one of my own for $30 at target - Jam Classic Wireless Speaker - and now I have wonderful sound.

Does not resolve the issue of the root, but the problem is solved!

I'm just upset that HP gave me the such a card its crappy that it only lasted 1 1/2 years before give me questions, just long enough to ensure that the warranty expires...

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

After that, you may or may not need to remove and reload the Audio driver (probably IDT) - If you do, how to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the software and drivers is detailed in the document in question on the link below.

    Recovery Manager - Windows 8.

    Recovery Manager - Windows 7

  • HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC: Plugged not supported message when plugged AC

When my HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC is connected, it is is no longer in charge, and the battery icon says "plugged in, not load."  I ran a best of battery using HP Support, and the message says "battery reports a failure and should be replaced as soon as possible... ».  My laptop is less than 3 months.

This means that the subsystem of loading of the motherboard is ok.

I would try that before you send it.

Beforeyou send in warranty repair, you must really have everything you don't want stored on an external drive anyway.

  • Envy dv4t Notebook: SmartPlacement on hard drive?

    Hello people,

My younger son helps people bring their computers from the dead and lonely people gave envy dv4t Notebook in question here having decided to upgrade to a newer version. He has in turn gave it to me.

I preferred App Defrag and after install and opening it, I see that the harddrve is not configured for SmartPlacement. Which is, of course, a major requirement for this application to function properly.

I open the BIOS (which has a date of 2013 of origin) and see Nothing on SmartPlacement anywhere.

Am I right in thinking, I might as well uninstall my Defrag app and just use the good old Windows Defrag?

    Thanks in advance... Mark

    God bless... Mark

    Hello new SDF15,

Do you already have an application with a unique built-in function/feature the feature simply NEED becomes (for you) is just a function which all THE systems have?

Well, even before receiving response from Raxco my dilemma and after watching again the problem, the answer has jumped off the screen of the laptop. 1, the hard drive is (logically) configured with the D:\Recovery of patitioned in car first on the disk. Then, of course, SmartPlacement, which is first reading the first partition is said that there is a problem here.

The real C:\ drive shows SmartPlacement works very well!

Once again, thank you for your patience... Mark

  • HP Envy 17 Notebook PC TS left hinge problem

Left hinge on my HP Envy TS 17 Notebook PC pushes the lower lid of my laptop open whenever I open and close my laptop. My desire is quite recent and it is still under the one year warranty.

    Hello

Yes.  MY problem is solved.  Company and I got the replacement unit successfully.

Note: If you have a lot of software installed, especially of VMs on your current laptop, so my personal advice would be to get the repaired unit, I came across the problem to reactivate the license think little software, I do several facilities and refuse activation.   However after talking to the licensing issue has been resolved, but it consumes a lot of time.

However, if the activation of the license is not a problem for you then unit replacement is better.

    Concerning

PS. but in the new laptop also, I always get a little tic noice when I open and close the laptop from the left hinge.   That is why I it opens very slowly.  I have just pray and hope that it does not break.  because I get 2nd replacement.

  • Is HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC t-j100 - available in AUS?

I've been Googling for ages re a Christmas gift for my son (nothing like leaving toward the end) and I love the

HP ENVY 15 t-j100 Quad Edition Notebook PC as shown

    http://shopping.HP.com/en_US/Home-Office/-/products/laptops/HP-envy/E2E34AV?HP-envy-15T-J100-Quad-ed...

The only thing that I can actually find for sale is the TouchSmart from HP ENVY 15-J021TX (E3B17PA) for $989 at a local store.

The specs seem to say that the only difference between the HP ENVY 15 t-j100 & the TouchSmart from HP ENVY 15 - J021TX is the touchscreen, and for $200 less, that's fine.

Any ideas where I can get the HP ENVY 15 t-j100? Or is it not available in AUS?

    Hello

No, it is not available in Australia, you can buy only a similar (same family series) models called HP Envy 15-J0xxTX TS. Please, note 15, not 15t and ending with or YOU TX. HN, JB Hifi, Centrecom... can store some.

    Kind regards.
