  Never heard talk of launch manager on the Toshiba laptop computer, but of course, the FN buttons are controlled by special software.

  I read your post on the matter of brightness and wanted to help you!  I understand that this problem started after the upgrade of your operating system.

  Have you tried to update the BIOS, Chipset and graphics drivers for the laptop?  You can find the drivers for your product here: Drivers - HP 15-r074tu Notebook PC

  If you're still having problems, try to shoot to the top of your Device Manager in the Start Menu.  Expand monitors , and then right-click on the Generic PnP monitor.  Then click on Activate.  Let me know how it goes.
