  Hello. I have a hard time with my update of the DVD/CD burner on my XPS 400 desktop Tower. It's a workaholic and work PC has a 3.0 Ghz dual-core, 64-bit processor and plenty of RAM. I bought a new ASUS DVD/CD writer (compatibility problem?) and an adapter to convert from IDE to SATA. Windows does not recognize the new hardware. It is not in the BIOS or Device Manager.   Attach one end of a cable to SATA data to a SATA port on the motherboard and the other end into the connector on the back of the new burner SATA data. You will also need to connect the burner to the power supply. Finally, ensure that the SATA port is enabled in the BIOS.

  I learned by a person of tech HP (on the phone) that my HP G60 purchased in 2008 could not be improved to a 320 to a 500 GB.  He could not tell me the reason why not.  The Geek Squad at Best Buy, where I bought the laptop, was told that the upgrade should not be a problem.  My system has 512 of RAM and runs Windows Vista.  Is there a reason why I can't spend my hard drive?  My drvie just died and since I have to replace it, I'd like to update if possible.

  Make sure that you have burned Recovery DVD for your operating system.

  I see no reason for you is not able to upgrade to a 500 GB HARD drive, but I see that you say you have 512 MB of RAM.  If this is the case, just check the link below it is your model, because it indicates that you should have 3 GB of Ram installed.

  512 MB Ram really is too little to run Vista.  Your profile says your machine can have up to 4 GB of Ram.  You really should have at least 1 GB, and 2-3 GB would be really better.

  You cannot burn Blu - Ray discs with a DVD burner. You will need to get an external Blu - ray drive, get a shop to buy a laptop with a blu - ray player or put a new Blu - ray player on your laptop.

  In the approximately 500 mV VDI environment I would like to disable checking of upgrades for users of all virtual machines. We cannot update Firefox until we have ensured that the new version works with specific tools. Virtual machines are linked clones that are being refreshed to their State before logon after users log off. This causes the popup to come upgrade whenever users connect. Users are not allowed to upgrade, then it is a nuisance that I would like to eliminate them.

  I found that I can use on: config to disable checking of upgrade on the image, where all virtual machines are created, but cela will not shut it for all users for the user with which the image is kept. Is there a central setting that allows me to do this? Or this would require a change in profile all users? And if the latter, what a change I need to make to their profile?

  If you mean the upgrade of the software so I found some drivers Toshiba for Win95, 98 and NT on page of Toshiba.

  The ATI Radeon HD 4200 Video on your PC is the graphics chip integrated according to page 14 of the quickspecs at the link below. In other words, the graphics card is a chip that is soldered to the motherboard.  It is not in an expansion slot.

  The dedicated PCI express x 16 slot should be empty now, and this is where you install the card I have recommended.

  I don't see why the HD 6450 work.  It works in the dc7800, dc7900, Pro 6000, 6200 pro, 8000 Elite, Elite 8100 and 8200 Elite business desktop PC.

  You just need to make sure that uninstall you the HD 4200 graphics card and the driver in Device Manager.  Also check the uninstalling the driver box.

  Also uninstall catalyst control center software in the Add/Remove programs in the control panel section, stop and disconnect the PC, install your new video card and the driver for the 6450.
