  • HP Envy 14 HEADSET MICROPHONE DOES NOT WORK

Hi, I have a HP Envy 14-1111 nr laptop computer with Windows 7 and I always had problems with working microphones. I plug in my headphones and put plugs in the appropriate ports, including through taking Mic in port with a picture of a headset/microphone. I also put the audio plug on the correct port.

The audio still works fine I can hear things properly from the helmet. But the microphone NEVER WORKS. I made sure the microphone is on and I put the headset microphone as the default recording device, and made sure it's not muted and even tried like 3 different types of helmets, but it still does not work.

My computer recognizes my headset has a microphone when I plug it, because the independent headset appears on my recording devices. But any point the noise I into the microphone, my computer does not recognize him. Basically, it is saying that it cannot detect all the sounds of the mic.

It's incredibly frustrating because I spent money on different microphones, but now I think it's the fault of my computer. Is there something wrong with the microphone/headphone jack? What can I do to fix this?

    Thank you.

Solution: the HP Envy laptop is not a microphone jack, it has a "headphone" which is designed to work with smartphones.

In order to use a headset with microphone with this computer, you need a conversion cable so that you can convert your helmet at the exit of the smartphone. I just ordered it on amazon, it should be here soon.

I have some clothes focus cat-earphones that come with a microphone that plugs into a socket of the headset themselves and then has a unique separate cord to plug into the laptop. Hello

Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, then select recording devices.

In the following noise window, right-click on an empty area and enter a checkmark against the two "show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices" - If your internal microphone table now appears, right-click, and select activate.

  • Microphone during regular calls is distorted

MIc is distorted when ordinary phone call.

Have you ever tried to force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears on the screen? You won't lose data by doing this, but it can cure a few glitches.

If this does not work, and to make sure that it is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using the last backup, set up the rest of the personal details manually and test the microphone after that. If it works, restore the backup.

The problem should be back, contained backup data corrupted, causing this problem.

If it still does not respond, to repair, it could be hardware related after all.

  • HP ENVY 4 1013tx - speaker problem, distort / vibrating at any volume level

I just buy my DESIRE to 4 a week after that this post was created.

First of all, I have not any common suggestion for burning inside or more. I just use it regularly and have never use speakers over 50% of the volume.

However, things go wrong when I notice that the speaker do a slight distortion, even at a minimum volume (5%). I tried to disable the software of beats, set Equalizer of the player flat, but the speaker is distorted almost on every music.

Tried to play some youtube and it is still distortion at all volume levels.

I have check the card driver its IDT and its updates. No additional software for the audio except for the drive itself.

Does anyone has a related suggestion this topic?

I found the similar problem for envy 17... http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-PC-sound-and-audio/HP-envy-17-Windows-7-speaker-vibration-Dist...

    Thank you

    Hello

Try to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the IDT HD Audio Driver (this will also reinstall the Beats Audio interface) - how to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01868333

    After reinstalling, restart the laptop.

When windows has fully charged, use Recovery Manager to reinstall HP Quick Launch Buttons.  Once again, when this has completed, restart the laptop.

Incase you still have the same question please call the HP technical support and get the speaker replaced.

    1. Since when are you facing this problem?
    2. don't you make changes to your computer before the show?

  • Windows 8 Microphone static/distortion problem

    Hello

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 x 64 to Win 8 Pro x 64 and have this problem with my microphone when there is a large amount of static and distortion whenever I talk into it, I've scoured google for an answer without success. The microphone works as I tried it on another computer running Windows 7 without any problem, all my drivers are up to date, and I use the realtek drivers specific to my site of motherboards (which I also uninstalled to see if that was the problem). I also tried the troubleshooting and apparently not found any problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    See you soon,.

Had the same problem. After hours of searching I found a solution that worked for me.
Uninstall or disable Hyper-V in the list of features.
Never thought that was the problem.

  • HP Envy 13-d008na: HP Envy 13 - Microphone is not sensitive

    Hi all

After successfully someone solve my first problem with this laptop (involving a defective sensor), I have now decided to address the issue of second and hopefully last, that I had.

My microphone is not sensitive at all - but it works and I'm sure it's a driver problem too. Let me explain.

The microphone has always been quiet. One of the first things I did when I got this laptop last month was Skype, friends, and they said that I sounded very far. I tried a test call to Skype service and when speaking normally could hardly hear my voice. I did some troubleshooting and even with the sensitivity of the microphone up to 100% and boost up to 30dB, I was still with realism unhearable.

It has gotten to the point where I tried to uninstall the drivers, and I discovered that my audio drivers caused the mic for suddenly works perfectly - however resettlement caused reproduce the error uninstalling.

I reinstalled the drivers because I guess the Bang and Olufsen (Realtek) drivers are needed for the audio output of high quality or something else - but I was wondering if there is a difficulty which would allow me to use the microphone with these drivers installed instead of having to uninstall it, whenever I want to use the microphone?

Note: the microphone works, but is not very sensitive and I can just be heard even when I'm shouting in my screen!

    Thank you

    Great work Kelvin2!

I also made sure "Microphone Array" has been defined as peripheral default save too - and with your help it now seems to work brilliantly! That said, this problem has a record of rear entry, but I hope it's fixed

Well, that's good. The only thing that you can do the Google Chrome, you must uninstall and reinstall. If you have already checked the extensions are activated.
