ENVY 700-410xt: dual band wireless network card works in my PC?

Hello

I would like to replace my Broadcom BCM43142 802.11bgn single band card with a dual band card. I spent a few hours struggling with online help, nothing helps. So called technical support, answered many questions, I was told I would be transferred to the right technology and got cut.  Can someone tell me a name/model number of a Bluetooth 4.0 integrated 802.11a/b/g/n/ac card and LAN wireless dual band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) featuring MIMO 2 x 2 technology, or how do you know which card will work?  Thank you very much.

Dave, welcome to the forum.

This is a Wireless card that meets you specifications.  I have in my game Omen HP laptop and it works fine.

    Hi all -

I have a DV7-7230us that I've updated massively since the purchase at a great price about 3 years - new display, 500 GB SDD, Win10-Pro, memory maxed out, etc..

This laptop has all the abilities and raw power I need a laptop, but one thing that bothers me is the minimap original wireless in - it's single-channel video, 2.4 GHz a/b/g.

If not compatible, does anyone know card dual band wireless compatible AC that works?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Your machine was built long before mid-2014, so the chance to upgrade the wifi card is slim to zero. There is a list on page 7 of the following document:

    Hello world

Need help, need we know of a wifi with Bluetooth and dual band card that is able to be used in the Qosmio X 870, as the Realtek wireless card is dead and rather than putting a single strip of card in I was expecting a double band with Bluetooth solution.

    Any help would be great.

    Hi Nick,

I think that you misunderstood Timox post a bit more.
means no expandable laptop computer from the manufacturer (in this case Toshiba) does not support the upgrade of WLan.

Of course the WLan module can be removed because it s a removable miniPCI module.

However, I discovered that the Qosmio X 870 series was equipped with various modules of WLan cards.

For example, the X model 870-152 Qosmio use it * Intel Centrino Wireless - N 2230 802.11b/g/n* module.
I think that this WLan module could be used and must also be compatible.

  • Want TS 15-j052nr: Wireless Network Card BIOS Whitelist

I want to update my card to a dual band wireless network.  The service guide lists only cards Wireless 2.4 Ghz single band as a replacement options.  I would like to know if my model of laptop especially has a white list of BIOS that would prevent me from installing a card that is not on the list.   If so, is there a way to bypass the whitelist?  Also, is there a dual band 802.11n card that is recommended for my laptop?

    Hello:

Other members of the forum have changed wireless cards in this model series, so I would say that there is no whitelist on your model.

    Good alternatives...

I would try to get the cards with parts numbers because some of those generic HP while they work, may not work with some of the specialized software HP as in Windows 7 HP connection manager.

I threw in a non - HP Intel 6230 in my G1 of 350 HP, and the connection manager saw the wireless part but not the bluetooth.

The bluetooth worked well, but the connection manager could not see to turn it off.

When I realized that there is no white on my G1 350 list (since not supported from Intel card worked), I had the card N with the part number HP on what I posted above and it works perfectly with the connection manager.

Search the HP part number.  You don't have to buy from HP.  I got mine from Amazon.

  • Network of abandonment (intermittent and consistent) - Dell Inspiron 7347, Win 8.1, Linksys BEFW11S4, adapter Intel dual band wireless AC 7265

History: I just bought a laptop / Tablet Dell Inspiron 7347 (exchanged for another unit, see below).   Problems to maintain a strong connection and when connected, it is very slow.   When it is connected to the wireless router, it maintains a (slow) connection for 3-5 minutes and then craps out (restrict the connection with the yellow "!" on the WiFi in the taskbar).  He then returned to the top of 1 3 minutes later.  It's a coherent continuous cycle.  I tried to reset the default router with no luck.

All the other devices on this router (office, phone, IPad) all hold the connection without problem at the same time, this device is not.

Notable: Before I bought this tablet/laptop I bought an Acer Aspire tablet / laptop which had exactly the same problem on my network.  I returned the unit for other reasons (quality of construction etc.), but he had the same OS (Win 8.1).  I don't know if she had the same network adapter.

What I tried: cycling the router - cycling the modem - router the default factory reset of small animals - U-APSD deactivation on the network card - slapping me hard - offering to the gods...

What I tried to try: tried to update the drivers for the Intel card using the Intel drivers update (adapter drivers for Win 8.1 and Intel PROset wireless), but he kept time during download because... THE NETWORK IS NOT STABLE! (ugh!)

    Hi there @vet72

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for help finding a dual band wireless card for your system. I'm happy to help you with this.

First of all, I have included some specifications and hardware reference guide.

    Hardware reference guide

As he is an all-in-one computer, there are only a few components that normally can be replaced, but I have included the reference Guide for you convenience. It does not include how to replace the wireless card, but could still be useful to you.

Have this laptop, a whitelist (or black)?

    RAM: 4 GB

    Thank you all!

Yes, he absolutely has a whitelist. I do not know where to come from tips in the other 2 posts and this is a mistake. Laptop wi - fi modules are readily available on the market. I have a drawer full of them to prove it. Unfortunately, HP had about one year-10 ran to block the installation of any wi - fi (module) card but a specific group of cards specific firmware HP and identity. In other words, the ONLY cards that can be installed are the very specific listed for your model in your area in the maintenance manual. This prevented the owners of manufactured HP laptops before about Q4 2013 to upgrade to the latest wireless technology. Your laptop is longer than that if you're stuck with what is indicated in the maintenance manual.

Not my decision, just tell it like it is.

  • Intel dual band wireless-ac 7260 Compatability

I just bought a new HP Pavilion and want to upgrade the wireless LAN card. It of a great PC and has an i7 Intel Core 4 Gen and so far works fine when connected to my LAN via Cat6. I'm having issues pulling large CAD files and in looking over the repair, the only option listed for a duel card band is an old N Intel 3160 (1 X 1), from 2013. I contacted Intel and was informed that the card should work, but that HP tends to Whitelist BIOS here to prevent customers of workstations being upgraded there. The question that I have is the the 7260 Intel does not appear in my service manual, BUT is currently available for download driver on the support listed as a driver Intel 7260/3160 site. Anyone know if this product is in the white list on the BIOS? I have listed the part I'll order below for reference.

    Model number 7260.HMWWB. R

    TigerDirect part number: IE2-102594433

    List price $29.99

As you can see the value of spending $29.99 and the return on investment of this offer that it is obvious, from the 'stocks' Realtek Wireless Card that comes standard on this computer.

Would also like to point out that this computer was only $479.99 at Best Buy and came with and i7 4Gen and was too good to pass up.  No idea why HP would be but as lower wifi card in the same workstation with an i7.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this post and I can't wait to read your response.

    Hello:

Several posts, I read on the forum that you should have no problem installing any wireless card you want in your laptop, as it appears that HP has done away the white list of wireless cards BIOS.

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

Info upgrade memory are in Chapter 1.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & dlc = in & lc = in & product = 7582630 &

Now, I have bad news for you...

You will cancel the warranty if you install a wireless card or memory yourself.

Unfortunately, you have to pretty much disassemble the laptop everything to the hard drive, memory, and the wireless card.  You can refer to chapters 5 and 6 of the repair for the removal and replacement procedures.

  • ProBook 4520 s - exchange of the wireless network card

    Hello everyone.

I think the exchange of the wireless network card in my Probook 4520 s, due to the low flow.
So I searched for a while a 5 Ghz supporting the card and found out that I am only able to get in the "white" cards list working. Then I looked at this page:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?lang=en & CC = US & objectid = c02487851 & jumpi...

These cards can be any, that have been used in 4520 s. Mine (according to the Device Manager) is the Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n. This thing only supports 2.4 Ghz. Now, I looked at the list for a 5 Ghz supporting the card. I think that the 802.11A/B/G/N WLAN Intel HMC 572520-001 minicards can operate on 5 Ghz, because I read, that A appears only with maps of 2.4/5 Ghz. I read too, that maps of 2.4 / 5 GHz have 3 antennas, but on this card I only the slots for 2. Is this good? And this card would go into my 4520 s?

    Greetings,

    Colony

    Hi, colony:

You are right about your statement about the cards being described as A/B/G/N dual-band.

The best thing to do is look at Chapter 3 of your service manual.

You can only order one of the cards listed as supported and it MUST have the HP reference on it or it won't work.

I see only two possibilities for you...

The 6200 Intel and Broadcom 4322.  Make sure you also get the part # that corresponds to what country you live.

If your current Broadcom card has integrated Bluetooth, you will lose your Bluetooth capability if you order an integrated HP bluetooth module and probably the cable too.

None of the dual-band cards have embedded bluetooth.

    Link to the service manual.

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c02439213/c02439213.PDF

Then, you can order a card on the link below.

If you do not live in the United States, you can change your country at the top of the page to yours.
