Envy 7640: Envy 7640 out automatic tray extension

Is it safe to manually push in the extension of the tray out Auto after turning off the printer? I don't want to break it, but the part extends a bit and I don't want the snag on something or it stand out when it is extended. Since it extends automatically, I expect he could go automatically, for example when the power is off.

Its OK to manually push the Extender after the filming of the printer.

If you don't want to use the Extender at all, you can lock the position of the extension by pushing the switch on the back of the Extender to the "lock" icon

  • Nine (3 days out of the Box) HP Envy 700-230qe automatically restarts after the initial boot...

    I have now a whole new desktop 700-230qe HP Envy (after about a month in the loop of the HP Technical Support).  But again, I have problems.  I took late delivery December 23, 2013.  After giving him enough time to become the temperature of the room, I opened the box and replaced my old HP Pavilion h8 - 1210t with envy again desktop computer.

    Took my time and made sure that everything is properly connected - then pushed the power button.  Everything seemed to work perfectly - until what the brand 20 minutes - when the system powered off and rebooted itself.  But for the rest of the session, everything went well - no problem.  It was Monday night.

    On Tuesday morning (December 24, 2013 - on Christmas Eve), I pushed the power button once again and the system started fine.  But 20 minutes later, it turned off and rebooted itself.  But for the rest of the day everything went well - even if I had to make several reboots all reinstall my applications and migrate my data.  I started to wonder if I still had problems.

    Christmas day (December 25, 2013) is the same thing.

    And once again on Thursday (December 26, 2013) - I finally called HP Technical Support.  I spoke with a gentleman (Terrence) - he accessed remotely my system which makes me nervous (but these guys of Nova Scotia are very good and are savvy customers.  He looked around - ran MalWareBytes and CCleaner - and said that he saw nothing thaat would be a problem.  We agreed to wait a day and see what would happen.

    Rolled Friday autour and you'd know it's the same thing.  Then, I called HP Tech Support and spoke to a lady (Norma) who, after having read the file of description of situation and asking me my name, phone number, email address (which they ask you every time you call - you would think they write this stuff and keep it on file), she immediately decided that the best thing to do is to 'Recreate the IMAGE' on my drive - to which I replied 'NO WAY '.  This seems to be the standard response, if they can't fgure out - recreate the image on your disk.  They don't seem to care about all the work you put into the construction of our system with applications with associated and all data - they want to just Blow-It-Away.

    It made me so angry that I have immeddiately contacted my case manager company HP with the history.  These people - business - case do an excellent job, at least the one I did a great job.  And I know she'll get to the bottom of this situation and go to a happy camper.

    Anyway, if anyone has the same problems with their machine - I'd be interested.

    I did not read all the answers, but what my qestion... Why are you screwing around? HP has a 21-day return policy, so you can ask them to replace it with the same model or another model as they will send you a FEdEx shipping for a full refund or Exchange label. I wouldn't waste my time with a question like this on a new computer.

    I bought a printer ew Frys Electronics n.  I don't have to open the box and tries to use it for about a month.  It would not print from the computer, rather a post that it was paper.  I followed all the online and packaged suggestions for resolving the issue.  Frys has refused to accept it because it had been the date of return.  HP is impossible to reach a human being, and none of his 'support' does not work.  Don't send article to Frys and throw it through a window, what can I do to get this working of the machine?

    I was finally able to contact customer support and they solved the mystery. The CD that came with my printer does not include Windows 10. The person who has solved the problem took control of my computer, completely removed the old programmes, reloaded suitable driver and confirmed that everything was fine. Hats off to HP customer care!

  • Automatic download extensions do not work

    I use the extension "Download 2.5.8 ranking" somewhat, specifically to download images, but since I updated Firefox to version 23.0 this extension no longer works. When I right-click on an image that I want to automatically record, then select "Save Image under", nothing happens. In the previous version of Firefox, it worked without any problem, I want to select Save Image as and download sort would automatically download the image in the specific folder.

Each instance corresponded to a different tray for printing. I have now lost the ability to use separate trays. Whenever I feel it comes back to "auto-select" I have three shared printers on the Server Desktop XP pro SP3 & can be printed on one or the other. Just can't hold the tray settings more.   • Unable to print automatically trays (LJ600)

    I thought that I know a little how to configure HP LJ printers (we used HP LJ4000 for LJ600).

    I have problem with printers 1 M601 600 LJ. I have install without problem 10 new printers and I have problem with the last of them. Whenever the user is trying to print from her that he must go and manually specify which tray it wants.

    I assign trays to print the specific work of the designated tray/location, but the user must manually select which tray.

    I compared with the previous printers and I see no difference... (this fatal printer was not used for maybe 6 months and now I'm trying to make it work).

    What I did:

    Installed the new firmware, after the first attempt I'm resetting factory and tried the installer to start.

    I have 3 trays (2nd and 3rd they are plugged on the bottom?).

    Even if I tried to print test page on that I have to press the button what tray.
    I use the print server... when I select printing I see flashing light orange. I don't know what you need to know to help me. If you need more let me know.  Any suggestions? What Miss me?

    There is the problem. Tray 2 is set to "Plain" and the user requests "Light". When you print, go to preferences and change the type of paper in plain instead of light.

    It is quite difficult to describe my problem... Well, we have an application with direct payment, but no custom window. Means, when the user opens the application, he sees an empty library, when he signs, he sees folios there right to. When he signed, he sees only the folios he is already downloaded, the other those diappear. Very simple. Works perfectly on my device.

    Now I'm getting reports of several users on the following behavior:

    1. the user connects to the library

    2. 3 folios appear to which they have access

    5 when it opens again the application, it is automatically disconnected, but see again all 3 folios - even those it has never downloaded before!

    6 when it tries to download one of these folios, the accidents of the application - which is quite logical, cause it there no right to download the folio.

    My questions are:

    Why the user get disconnected automatically when the application is closed? (doesn't happen on my device, I stay permanently connected)

    2.

    Why the library always displays all folios, even if the user is offline?

    Note: If the user logs on "manually" in the library (upper-left button), folios disappear properly.

    I was unable to "reproduce" this error on my device, but it seems to happen to several users.

    I asked around, and it is likely that the call to RenewAuthToken does not work correctly. It is called when the user opens the application. A response not valid will be to disconnect the user.

    I understand that you are having problems loading labels in HP Officejet J6480 all-in-one printer. I would like to help you today with this problem to feed paper. On this particular model of printer paper for printing a single sandbox there. It is the main tray at the bottom of the printer. The 'top' I believe you are talking is only used for faxing, copying or scanning automatic document feeder. Below, I will give instructions for properly loading paper in the tray of your product. Once you have confirmed that your labels are properly loaded we will test print in order to confirm if the problem is resolved.

    Step 1: Load the paper:

    1. lift the output tray.

    2. Insert the paper with the side to be printed down along the right side of the status bar. Make sure the stack of paper is aligned with the right and rear of the tray edges, and the height does not exceed the line marking in the status bar.

    3. slide the paper in the tray to fit the paper size you have loaded.

    4. lower the output tray and pull out the tray extension.

    • For the labels, you can load up to 100 sheets of labels in the paper tray at the same time.
