  I have this laptop for only 1 week, he did various updates. I guess that's from Windows 8 to 8.1. He also completed an update of the BIOS with HP Support Assistant.

  Question: When the awakening of my laptop mode 'sleep', my trackpad and keyboard do not work, I have unlock my PC using HP Simple pass, then press the power button to restart the machine.

  Troubleshooting: I followed some advice for troubleshooting on the support page which lead me to uninstall the keyboard driver then restart my machine. I have all the latest drivers aswell.

  Someone has an idea what might be causing the problem? Ideally, I'd like to do a restore or upgrade of Windows 10 immediately.

  Looks like this has been caused some my driver problem with Windows 8.1 and I guess that's with HP SimplePass such that it would not recognize the keyboard and the trackpad after waking up to use it.

  I have upgraded to Windows 10 that looks like a solved the problem.

  First of all sorry for my bad English, it's not my best language

  This is perhaps a silly question, but I thought we'll ask him anyway. I have a HP Pavilion dv6 6b41ed, and I think it's perfect, except for one thing: the keyboard. Typing is really nice and smooth, but I don't like the fact that the laptop has not had a backlit keyboard. After some research, I discovered that there are not available for the series dv6 - 6B 00 light keyboard, but for the most recent m6 series it is. They are really very similar, but I don't know if the m6 backlit keyboard fits into my dv6. So could you guys please help me and tell me if it's compatible?   Not if you use a backlit keyboard there must be somewhere on the motherboard to tie a cable that carries power for the backlight. Your motherboard is not that you can ever have a backlit keyboard. I'm sorry.

  Hello GLavergne... I'm sorry that you are having this problem with your ENVY dv6 7210us.

  As has been pointed out by Hüffer, these codes only rejects BIOS during power upward.  In this case, I don't think that the BIOS and hardware support beep codes - only blink codes.  You can see by visiting http://www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startupand clicking through for laptops - LEDs blink or computer page will beep.

  As you indicate that you are using the computer when it is happenning, you have exceeded BIOS in Windows.  Something in your Windows environment is to launch the beeps at you.

  (1) the module 32 GB is listed as compatible, but a 128 GB you might work too (I guess).

  (2) mean you use both at the same time? I don't know, but I would not do anyway. The mSATA is probably more slow (SATA II) as a pure SATA III SSD as Corsair Force GT or 840 Samsung but a 128 GB mSATA more a disk of 1 TB HARD pure isn't a bad configuration at all.

  First of all, thanks to all those who wish to, or be able to help with my problem, I appreciate the help.

  I bought a laptop HP dv6 ENVY of Costco today, running Windows 8, Atheros AR9485 map and the connection to a Belkin Surf N300 Wireless N Router - Model v3 # F7D6301.

  My problem is, in the last 6-7 hours of use, I lost the connection 3 separate times. The first two times was quite brief, lasting a few minutes. I closed the Application in Internet Explorer and reopen and try to connect again, worked fine. The last occurrence, however, lasted 15-20 minutes and eventually resulted in me just hard wiring.

  I'm brand new on HP and Windows 8 computers together, so I don't know where to start first. I searched on the web and on the forums here, but haven't found a solution.

  I uses the wireless router (wired) everyday for my Xbox 360 and rarely, or never, has connection problems.

  Please let me know if I can provide more information / information to help get the problem solved.

  Do not. It will not work. The slot of a WiFi on laptops HP is dedicated to wireless cards and anything else will not work in there. It is not connected to the video bus so a video card will not work. The thing that circulate on youtube is a scam. The Beats Audio software is running, I can adjust treble, bass, Center, focus, etc. BUT! If I go to my sound properties and select the speaker to the title of the reading tab, there is no tab enchantments, for example, I can't toggle environment, remove all enchantments, etc.. I've never tried Windows 8, only 8.1 Pro. I have all the HP software installed. I am sure that every driver installed fine, but there are still some problems...
