  The hinges support the screen have cracked open the frame and is now bulging. I've never used my laptop in a way that would be damaged, so I think this is a manufacturing problem. Can we do anything about it? My very well other cell phone functions and I would hate to have to replace it because of this problem.

  The issue started about a year after I bought it. I, however, did nothing to this subject back then I thought that it would not cause future problems.

  If your computer is still under warranty, call HP 1800 474 6836 assistance. They will ask for the serial number and the product from your computer and create a file number for you. More likely they'll send it for repair.

  Hope this happens to Jeff.  My computer is no longer under warranty, but I have a broken hinge.  I brought this computer only 2 years and can afford to buy a new one.  The two hinges on my laptop broke.   I was assigned to the case manager for broken hinge.  HP offers to fix it with the more than $150 price tag.  There are so many owners of HP laptop with the same problem as mine of HP forum.  Someone knows HP deliver any recall for broken hinge problem.  I hope that that goes message to Jeff.

  Good question. It doesn't happen at all, but you should be able to find a plug similar to Singapore. Normally the HP doesn't sell product even in all countries.

  After that multiple crashes and locked screens using Windows 10, I am now back to Windows 7 (64-bit).

  Now, I have no WiFi and have tried to install many similar topics messages pilots here but still have no WiFi.

  I tried the page official drivers (below), but it does not work. I tried the automatic link (to the top of the page) and installing the drivers indididually.

  When I installed the drivers from the official page (below), I received these messages "this program could not have installed correctly". I clicked on 'Reinstall using recommended settings', but sometimes there was no message to say "Properly installed" so I don't know what happened.

  For some drivers, the message "FindFile failed.

  In Device Manager it shows 3 devices as "the drivers for this device are not installed.

  The Details tab of the properties give these values for 3 devices:

  Network controller

  ACPI\HPQ6007, * HPQ6007

  USB\VID_138A & PID_0050 & REV_0060, USB\VID_138A, PID_0050

  In network connections, it shows Bluetooth and 'Connection to the Local network', but nothing for all WiFI devices.

  First, it is not compatible with Mudbox 2014 and has problems of execution of tasks in 2015 Mudbox.

  How long have you had? Basically, no laptop computer has a graphics card which is expandable. Actually not 100% true but the exceptions are so rare that they might as well not exist. If in need of something more powerful for the production of graphics or game was a basis to return the laptop everyone would back his laptop. I don't work for HP and you could call them and see what they will do, but I don't hold much hope for you.

  Very recently, I discovered that the hinges through which my laptop is connected start to loose up, I remember once pulling on my laptop screen. At that time I had not really noticed any problem, but the last two days, I noticed that every time I lift the lid hinges creak, and also, I found that this has started to perform the fan ventilation openings because there is a gap when the laptop lid is in place. Can someone help me with this! or is it better to take it to an authorized dealer. If possible can someone help me find one in London.

  I recently bought a new HP laptop.  I've updated to the latest version of HP SimplePass (v. 8.01.27).   But SimplePass is not fully functional.  It works on Windows logon.  But it does not allow me to save a Web site.  When I have access to a Web site by using Internet Explorer and sign in as usual, SimplePass does not prompt save me the password for the site.  Some of my Web sites are added to my Launchsite and my safe in Simplepass control center and

  SimplePass works when I click the icon.   I just never get a prompt when I try to register new Web sites.

  I'd appreciate any help to solve this problem.

  Unfortunately, I can't speak with authority about the features of this software; but after my experience, I would say that I have yet to see any program of any kind that works as expected in all situations. It is impossible to test all possible eventualities. With all the pages Web differently are designed, the different types of scripts, languages and other variables, it is almost certain there will be a few pages where it won't work.

  But that's just my two cents.

  I've had this laptop since February 2013. He executed perfectly. With the exception of the cover. The plastic hinges around case broke twice. The first time an engineer maintence to TV station, for which I worked it sets for me. Last week, the right hinge is broken again. It closes but this side is raised and needs to be pushed back down gently. Is there and inexpensive fix for that? The computer is great autour case not so much. I see the pieces coming out slowly. HELP please.

  I bought my desire Desktop 3 years at hp store. Now, I would spend my disk storage and the graphics card because I wanto to speed up my computer and also I bought and new screen (screen 32 inch HP ENVY with Beats Audio Media) which has displayport but my graphics card is not.

  JoBla, welcome to the forum.

  It is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure that the latest components will work in an old computer.  Your computer is almost 3 years old.  My suggestion is to choose the SSD and the video card you want to buy and contact the Technical Support of the manufacturer to determine if it will work with your computer.  They are the experts on their products.  This will save you the possibility to pay for the return of one of them.  That's what I did and it works fine.

  I can recommend a PSU 600W (PSU), however.  I love Corsair products.  Here is a very good power supply.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  There is a modular version of it, too.  The modular power supply is good for medium-sized cases.  It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  Which makes for airflow and better cable management.

  When I try and use the USB ports on my laptop, the system recognizes not the device is connected, or allows the unit to operate.   Step 01. Please go to settings on your laptop computer laptop

  Step 02. Select the general tab on the left side

  Step 03. Click on "refresh your PC without affecting your files.

  Step 04. Follow the prompts on the screen to complete the refresh/system restore

  even when I use the Troubleshoot utility he sees only the cable problem.

  I agree that devices are not present and do not need drivers.

  I recommend that you contact HP technical support and file a case under the guarantee pension.

  The wireless and bluetooth are on the same removable wireless card and her card is defective or not properly seated.

  I would have recommended you remove and reinsert the card, but the service manual for your model indicates that this procedure is possible only by an authorized service center.

  I can see why you have to disassemble basically the whole notebook just to get on the wireless card.
