ENVY m6 - 1158ca broken bezel (maybe?)

I bought this laptop quite a while, I'd say about 5 to 9 months. I was very impressed by it, until my scope began to break. What happened to first part enclosing the hinges would uncheck this self, which was no biggie because I could just click on it to back together. But now the problem is gone as far as move my screens position whenever it is closed and the screen must literally be pushed back into position.

I was wondering if my diagnosis of the problem is correct (to the bezel being broken), and if I could buy a new bezel (or any component is broken) from somewhere. From my understanding, it's a laptop abandoned because I had no chance of finding all the components of this laptop on eBay.

  • HP Envy M6 1232SA: broken bezel & coverage

I've had my phone for over a year now, and I noticed that there is a crack on the left side of the bottom of the screen (I bought the Billboard already) and the bezel. What I also noticed is that the back cover is also damaged (one of the hooks that attaches to the display panel is deattached).

Here is the picture of the damage.

Can someone help me where I can buy the back cover and bezel of my HP Envy M6 1232SA. For all the answers, thank you.

  • HP ENVY m6 1158ca: Windows 8 Pro Setup own activation fails 0xC004C003 blocked by OEM product key

My hard drive died on my HP ENVY m6 1158ca.  I replaced and ran 6 discs recovery I created for my daughter and

After the last completed album, I hit continue to do construction and each time after several reboots (ready devices... Prepares... ... Software administrator is installed) it would get the BSOD - 0xc000000f - a required device is not connected or not available.  SO I format the disk of 1 TB and do Factory reset again, and it still fails in the same way.

After failing on several occasions, I've used a Windows DVD Pro 8 for another HP laptop and Windows 8 coming!

However, the activation of Windows 8 needs a key I guess that the BIOS it will not work.

Call Microsoft by using the "activate Windows by phone" gave rise to the statement "you must call OEM.

to get a key and then call us back and then we can help you"

The HP ENVY is out of warranty, who do I contact to get this key on the BIOS?  or the BIOS button does not work

because the Windows 8 Pro does not correspond to something?  The laptop came originally with Windows 8.

Thanks in advance for any help,

The product key that is embedded in the BIOS may not work with the version of Windows 8 Pro.

Here is a document HP-HP System Recovery troubleshooting (Windows 8) computers you can review. It can help restore the system from the recovery disks.

If you need to get the recovery media:

HP computers - get HP recovery disks or HP USB recovery disc

  • HP Envy M6 - 1158CA - BSOD on Windows Update

Hi all, I write because I have experienced some problems with my laptop (a HP Envy M6 - 1158ca), whenever I update my Windows.

    I am currently running Windows 8.1 64-bit.

The problem is when I stopped my laptop, it will basically force an update on that just before his arrest. The problem is whenever I stopped him, he is going to update. Update ends normally, and the laptop is able to stop. The problem starts whenever I restart the laptop. When I restart the laptop, it will go to the graphical boot screen (the HP logo with Windows loading icon), and suddenly it'll show the blue screen of death. The laptop will restart, try to start again in the operating system, then it will show the blue screen of death once more. It is on average three times each time that I update. After the third time, it will take me to the system repair option, and I have to use the system recovery tool to restore my system to an earlier backup. The problem with that? No matter what program I have uninstall gets reinstalled, any document that I edit gets deleted or all my work will disappear.

I was wondering what is happening with my laptop, and how I might solve this problem.

Again, I'm under operating system is Windows 8.1 64-bit.

and the update, he tries to push, is probably Windows 8.1 update 1.

    Hi 786Tobi,

Try the rest of this document performing a new installation of Windows.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • How to change the speed of the RAM on my HP Envy m6 - 1158ca?

    Hello

    I have a laptop of m6 - 1158ca HP Envy (Intel i7 3632QM @2. 2 GHz) running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit with 8 GB of RAM. Supposed to be 1600 MHz RAM speed, but I don't see that 800 MHz through a third-party tool (CPU - Z).

Are there settings in the BIOS I have change to change this?

    Thank you
    Véronique

N ° there is no option in BIOS OEM that allow you to change the speed of add-on memory or speed of the bus.

It is an option that is present in passionate desktop motherboards.

Computer Systemboards laptop OEM and microcomputers have less optional parameters.

  • Satellite L500 - heating power cord

    Hi all

I have a Satellite L500 with a heating problem. When in the course of use, the power adapter gets extremely hot, if the battery is in or out. So much so, that melted the case around the adapter. My first thought is that it's the cord itself which is defective and will buy a replacement for it. If not, should what other things I look for?

    Thank you

-Cord becomes very hot * with * or * without * battery
    -fans and vents were cleaned
-the heat is in an area around the power adapter

    > the heat is in an area around the power adapter
It of difficult to say what's wrong or if something is wrong.
I have two laptops Toshiba and the area around the plug of AC adapter is not warm or hot.

But in the worst case, it could be a problem with the power supply or the broken cable
Maybe you should try a genuine Toshiba AC adapter and another, good work.

  • Qosmio X 500-11 q - how to replace cooling fans?

    Hello

I had know if I can replace the processor fan. He made a lot of noise and overheating.

    Any reference or advice please?

    Hey Buddy.

To access the cooling modules, the entire notebook must be dismantled. :(
It is a very delicate procedure because there are too many screws and parts that must be deleted.

I didn t find any disassembly manual for download on the European driver Toshiba page I guess that these documents are accessible to technicians only, so I wouldn't recommend trying to disassemble the laptop without having such guides.

Are you sure that your cooling module is broken? Maybe there is some dust and debris that affect cooling fan feature use air compressed a jet that helps eliminate the dust in my case it helped

  • Laptop built in display and the external monitor does not

Hi all, I have a HP Envy M6 - 1158ca, and recently my built-in screen has stopped working. I plugged in an external display via HDMI and it showed no entry. It seems that the laptop is not booting in Windows either, as usually every time my laptop starts windows, letting me know that I can now sign for use in the fingerprint scanner is flashing. I am extremely frustrated by this and have an incredible amount of stress because it was my only PC. Please answer as soon as possible, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes... I think it's what could have damaged, he... Computer laptop must always be completely turned off with the battery and the adapter AC disconnected during replacement of any equipment internal...

Shouldn't be a BIOS problem... but again, you can check this link...

  • Upgrading or adding SSDS to urge m6 - 1158 ca

    Hello

I have a HP Envy m6 - 1158ca I use of the last two years and really happy with that.

Is it possible to add SSD on it with the existing 1 TB HDD?

If it is possible, then can you please send me the guide to do this?

I'm also going to increase the memory up to 16 GB (currently, it's 8 GB).

    Any suggestion is appreciated!

    Thank you

    Véronique

    Hello

The first thing is for the SSD. There is no place to add, unless you share (ie delete) the ODD (optical disc drive). If you do not need the STRANGE, my suggestion:

    (a) the slow exsiting 1 TB HDD with a new SSD Swap,

    (b) purchase a set of trolley for the HARD drive and put it on the odd-NUMBERED slot.

If you still need the ODD, you can swap the HARD drive and then buy an external enclosure and use it as a HARD drive external.

For RAM, yes you can upgrade to 16 GB, please use existing features of RAM before you go out and buy RAM.

  • Video card driver and "hardware acceleration".

My monitor is constantly go dark and return a little later; image on and off, on and off the power and in and left and so on and so forth. Quite annoying because I can barely use my PC. It's like working with a strobe light!

Yesterday I received the message informing me that "hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by the video driver...; to ensure that [I] have the driver of the last installed graphics card and that hardware acceleration is turned on."  Accordingly, I downloaded and installed the latest update from my PC video card driver.  But I don't know, could not find an explanation of what the "hardware acceleration" is; and I have not the slightest idea of what, precisely, do I "Enable hardware acceleration" option or whatever this thing can be.

Everyone out there can translate this message in clear and simple English and explain in simple terms how can I comply with these instructions?

Any suggestions, comments, advice, instructions, tips, advise or advice, you can provide to help me my ignorance on the matter, will certainly be very popular.

    Thank you

    ALV

If your monitor goes and out looks like it might be broken or maybe a bad connection.

If the problem just started to happen yesterday, what happened with the system yesterday?  Do you have a few Windows updates that may have included an update of the video driver - never a good thing for the driver updated from Microsoft.

Some graphics card have / have a kind of hardware acceleration settings and others do not.

You can check in an average point round by right click on your desktop, customize, change the display settings, display, advanced settings, on the advanced settings screen click on troubleshooting.

Of the Panel, the path would be:

    Control Panel-> display-> Change-> avancΘs-> troubleshooting display settings

If the change settings button is dimmed, you cannot set the acceleration:

The change settings button could also be grayed out if you have the wrong driver installed.

If you pouvez change the settings of the screen will look like this:

If the cursor is completely to the left (none) hardware acceleration is possible, but disabled/turned off so you can make an adjustment here (you may need to experiment with settings).

If you are unable to understand, you need to tell us what you have.

Follow these steps so that we can see what you have:

Click on the button/ORB start in the lower left corner of your screen. Or, press the button of your keyboard Windows logo.

    In the type box:

    Msinfo32

Select / click msinfo32.exe and the system information dialog box opens.

Click System summary, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) feedback here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.
