  I am trying to print photos of 4 * 6 using HP photo tip on an OfficeJet J4550 paper.  Sometimes it works but most of the time after the initial report pull in the paper and the printer starts to print, paper only continues to fuel in about half of the way through the printing process.  So I find myself with half right of the image about half left of the document.  Sometimes I get two-thirds of the image and sometimes only one third - it varies.  The part of the picture I get is really good!  Any ideas?  Thank you.

  Hey @Steve2034, welcome to the Forums of HP! I'd love to help you to print photo 4 x 6 of your Officejet J4550. I understand that sometimes you can print a photo 4 x 6 full, but most of the time that the book fails to pass correctly so you end up with a partial impression. This happens when you print on 8 x 10 or any other photo paper? What happened when you print documents? Could you please try to make a copy of the photo of a photo 4 x 6 in order to test the equipment and eliminate the software/driver?

  Although you may be able to print documents, and assuming that it's a hardware problem, please complete the solutions suggested, presented in the following document: HP Officejet J4500/J4600 all-in-One Printer Series - Error Message "on paper" and the printer is not Pick Up or paper feed.

  I don't think you see an message to document your description, but the options presented in the document above could solve the problem you are experiencing.

  or 1 line of the document. Or just the blank lines, or it comes out blank.

  Thanks for the post.  I do not show the printer supports this heavy of a media in the specification, even if it's quite heavy and touches the outside of the specification.  (link specs below)  I've included a link to another document below which deals with the problems printing on special media.  I might suggest trying these steps also.  Good luck!

• DeskJet 2540 all-in-one: Deskjet 2540 only prints PDf files

  I got a 2540 for my grandfather a few weeks ago. When I put to him that it worked fine. Now, however it will only print opend with Adobe pdf files and I have no idea why.

  Any other print command will result in a blank page or a page with a few veins of black or color. It will not display even a test page.

  This could very easily be a problem with the machine of my grandfather because it is very old and running Windows XP 32-bit. I also have no way to connect his machine on the internet before taking him home and update mine and I prefer not to do so.

  I tried to download the drivers on an external device and then editing them, but that has done nothing to solve this problem.

  Any ideas?

  It is black ink. It must have been damaged as when I replaced it with a new one that he started printing very well. The reason why that worked the pdf was because it was all in color and like the fool that I am, I have not noticed.

  I understand. There are some things that you can try without voiding the warranty.

  For example, using the build-in HP diagnostic tools in the BIOS to check the hard drive, RAM.

  I have that works just download memtest bootable cd. Boot from this cd and test your RAM.

  For the disk hard test download as Linux bootable cd or Hiren Boot CD en test with some hard drive diagnostics, if everything is ok.

  If you are not sure contact HP helpdesk to ask them to guide you through the process using the tools of diagnosis or what the best solution would be given the symptoms.

  My apologies if this has been answered in the past (but I'm not).

  I just swapped from a Win XP machine on a W7 machine and now my AIO Printer Printer Dell v313 only prints the first document.

  The second honored document Mile makes the hiccups of the printer, but nothing happens.

  I have uninstalled and installed the software from the Dell website, and I'm at a complete loss as to why the pilot does not print the second document.

  Fortunately, I still have the XP machine and it has no problem printing of any document sent to the printer.

  I thought I'd be cleaver and tried to copy the folder I thought that contain the driver files anywhere in the W7 machine but that no longer works.

  The other solution is to disable the ToolTips for the printer, but then you can't see if the printer is printing, ink status, etc..

  I have an Epson XP-600 printer that can print page print initial test once the software is loaded and the attached priter but after that, it signals a misprint on the status print page and just stops.  It will not print again until the software is deleted and reloaded and then it will print once and round and round we go.

  Open the printer Troubleshooter

  Note: If the problem persists, I suggest to Uninstall and reinstall the printer readers and check if that helps.

  I use HP photosmart Essential 3.5 on Win 7 pro 64 - bit Home to print photos, I am printing 2 5 x 7 photos by 8.5 x 11 pages, the printer load photo paper and sometimes sends an error "on paper", I hit ok and it prints but it prints 1/2 or less of the first photo and any 2nd photo the quality is great, just want to print the entire photos and no ink on half of the photos, any help would be great thanks.

  Sometimes, the results depend on the program you're using to print.

  Test the printing of two photos on 'plain paper '.

  Make sure that the media type is correctly selected (Photo paper)

  Try / consider:

  Try to print pictures using Windows Photo Viewer > as well as other settings, check that you have enabled "Copies of each image.

  Most often when a device does not work, it is because the driver is damaged. Re-install a new copy should help

"

  Now, if you really want to go HDMI - Out, you can always buy a "USB to HDMI adapter', which will allow you to have an HDMI - Out.
