EOS 5 D MKIII

When I connect my HDMI cord to my 5DMKIII camera and computer HDMI mini windows os (with HDMI) Lenova thinkpad notebook, I am not able to download the images. It works very well on television. a help

The HDMI port is strictly used for display, only not for the transmission of data or image files.  Check your manual.  You must use the EOS Utility software and a USB cable connecting to a USB port on your laptop.

Similarly, the HDMI port on your laptop Lenovo is also designed for video output to a monitor, not to transmit data or image files.  You may damage your camera, your laptop or both connecting them together through the HDMI ports as what you described...

  • Canon EOS 5 d MkII/RAW "issues".

OK I'm considering buying an EOS 5 d MkII, but I have read a few reports on the internet that there are problems with the CS3 version dealing with RAW files and refusing to open them. I also read that the only remedy is to upgrade to the CS4 (which I'm not willing to do because a) there are not enough new features to justify its cost and CS3 b) is so buggy and is not exactly that will inspire confidence that the next incarnation will be better on my Mac) anyway, the long and short is is it true or there was some kind of fix for this?

    Thanks for any advice.

The "cure" is to use the free DNG Converter.

You can read all about it in the forum of Camera Raw.

  • I just got a Canon EOS 7 d MKII for my birthday which is fantastic! However, I currently have 12 PSE and it seems that RAW files are not supported with the ACR version on it.

Will I need made additional spending to buy 13 PSE or later versions of ACR [such as 8.7 and 9] work in PSE 12?

    TIA

    Steve.

When you use the DNG Converter you select a RECORD source.  So you won't ever see the contents of the folder unless there are other subfolders inside since the selection Committee is filtering on records, only.

Secondly, the particular file selection Committee that the DNG Converter use double knowledge what to do if you double-click in the source folder.  When you select the folder you click once on the name of the folder when the Panel is opened on the parent folder, rather than double-click to open it.

  • Change of name of the owner in EOS 5 d camera

I need to change the name of the owner in my trusty EOS 5 d.  If I understand correctly, this is possible with the Canon EOS Utility.  (Change the name of the owner of the camera allows me to add the name of the author, also, in the case where an image is processed without adding all the valuable metadata.)

I am currently using EOS Utility version 2.13.10.  I see my EOS 5 d MKII camera with no problem, and I can change the owner of camera information.

Unfortunately, I do not see my 5 d in the EOS Utility.  I use a Mac Book Pro running OS 10.6.8.

I can, however, pull captive in Capture One, but not of Adobe Lightroom. We are all aware of the many combinations of cameras and software applications and their compatibility - I was hunting this for years.

So... Does EOS Utility 2.13.10 version does NOT work with a Canon EOS 5 d? What I have to revert to a previous version to make it work?

    Thank you.

I tried to open a Canon EOS 1 d MkII CR2-file. Camera RAW version is 9.1.1

    How can I fix?

[Left the forum Cloud/Installer generic for program specific forum... MOD]

It could be associated with GPU. Camera Raw just added GPU support and some systems do not handle well it.

    You may need to disable.

  • RAWs opening Photoshop to JPEG

I have Photoshop CS5.5 update of ACR for the Canon EOS 5 d MKIII and I was able to properly load the pictures in, but after my last shot, he does not want to open the images correctly. I selected all the images of 400 + and when I trained in photoshop, or selected by the file/open command, then came as if they were JPEGs and completely bypassed ACR. Now when I tried to select the images in a group in Windows Explorer and choose open with..., he opened the individually in ACR, so instead of them be the pane scrolling images on the left side of the screen, the first came to the top, and then when I pressed on the fact or cancel on that one, the following image loaded up in ACR. So what is happening with the cab?

CR2 files shouldn't do what you say. However if your shooting in raw + jpg mode, it seems possible that he can use the image jpg instead of the cr2 file, especially if your camera is more recent than CS5.5.

  • A question on the LR3 camera Calibration settings

I re-imported 'old' LR3 LR2.7 Raw images. For images taken with a Canon EOS 20 d camera, the LR3 'caméra Calibration' (Raw) settings is automatically set to "ACR4.4". For Raw Images taken with a Canon EOS 5 d MKII, the LR3 "caméra Calibration" settings is automatically set to 'Adobe Standard '.

Why the difference and this must by default be?

    Franz

The EOS 20 d preceded the new calibration profiles. Thus, all images edited prior to their introduction will be the former ACR X.Y profiles incorporated in default XMP. If you switch to the new profiles of the appearance of the image will change.

The new default value is Adobe Standard

  • Compatibility with the EOS rebel T3i

I have an EOS Rebel T3i.  Is this compatible with an EF 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS USM he's lens?

I was shooting with a T3i when I bought my 70-200 mm f/2.8 mkII IS a few years back. Yes, it worked great! I love the lens. It is not only my sharpest lens, it is also my fastest focusing lens and more importantly, it gives rich and profound colors impressive contrast and beautiful background blur/bokeh.

    Good luck and enjoy!

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 - Canon EOS5D Mkiii - RAW images

I have Photoshop Elements 9 and first Elements 9 installed on my iMac, OS Version 10.9.4. I improved my Canon EOS 5 d Mki to a Mkiii and downloaded the update from 6.5 plugin from Adobe, but I'm unable to open images BRUTES of the Mkiii in elements. Open them in Canon software. Adobe offers no support for this phone. Any ideas please?

You need camera raw 6,7 & PSE10 for the 5 d mkiii. Otherwise, download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your raw files to the universal Raw format files and Adobe will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for uses in the software of the camera factory)

Download Windows (.exe file) click here DNG Converter 8.6

Download Mac (.dmg file) click here DNG Converter 8.6

You can convert an entire folder of images raw with a single click. See this quick video tutorial:

  • How can I import Canon. Generated by the new Canon 5 d MkIII CR2 raw files?

Just got the new Canon 5 d MkIII and none of Adobe products can recognize files raw (called. CR2) it generates.

  • Importing photos is no longer imports of Canon EOS 20 d

Since the update to IOS 10/Sierra, the Photos is not automatically import photos from my camera. Previously, I would like to connect the camera to the USB port, open iPhotos and he would start the import process. I've rechecked through Capture of Image and importer self that my camera is recognized as a device. I have started and restarted several times; and double checked that my camera (Canon EOS 20 d) is compatible with the Sierra. My camera always does not appear as a device in Photos. Help, please!

  • Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update Canon EOS 80 d

    Hello

I am trying to import RAW + JPEG images of my new Canon EOS 80 d in Photos. When I try to choose images-> use BRUTE as the original , I get the following error message:

    Cannot switch Original.

Pictures cannot move to the original because the RAW is not supported.

I wonder now if the current version of Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update includes the 80 d EOS, and if not, when it will be updated.

    My version of Photos is:

    Version 1.5 (370.42.0)

    Digital camera RAW 6.18.1 (831)

Digital Camera Support RAW 6181 (207)

    Best,

    Chris

I have not seen the 80 EOS D on the RAW supports list - Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

Support of Canon is generally fast so I hope that with the next RAW update
