  Since your previous camera was a 35mm film camera he used lenses that produce a large enough 'circle image' inside the housing of the device.   The image had to be large enough to completely cover the image of 35mm film.

  Canon EOS series "EF" lenses can be used on ANY Canon "EOS" body - that it's a movie or a digital body and the functions will not work.  for example if it's an autofocus lens so the autofocus will not work.  The camera will be able to control the aperture settings, etc.  You can consider these "EF" lenses as being universal in all EOS bodies.

  But there is another sensor size which is extremely frequent.

  All cameras series 'Rebel', as well as all the cameras of intermediate level (20 d, 30 d, 40 d, 50 d, 60 d and 70 d) as well as the 7 d, all use of "APS - C" sized sensors.  This sensor is about the size of a single image of "Advanced Photo System" - Classic film of size, which is a little smaller than 35mm film.   The sensor is smaller, they have the ability to use a lens that projects a small image circle.

  These cameras can use lenses that project a small circle of image because they have a smaller sensor size.  Cannon made a series of lenses for these smaller sensors.  Here's the "EF-S" series lenses  You will know that their name becauase a "EF-S" prefix as "EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 STM" (note the "EF-S" prefix in front of the name).  These lenses are able to take advantage of the cost savings, because lentils do not need to project a large image circle.

  While all the organs of "Rebel" and all intermediate level (except the 10 d) agencies may "EF-s lenses", they can ALSO use "EF" lenses (don't forget... "EF" lenses are universal to all Canon EOS bodies).    The 10 d is the only exception, but it is a very old camera and has not been in production for years.

  There is a card called the "Mount Adapter EF - EOS M ' and you can find that it listed as an accessory of camera on this page:

  However, Canon offers more EOS - M in the North America market.  This means that you would look for dealers who still have this in stock.

• Correction of lens in Camera Raw 6.0 tool?

  I bought Photoshop CS5 last night and have everything loaded up.  The first thing I wanted to play with a been the lens correction tool that is supposed to be in Camera Raw 6.0.  For the life of me, I can't find the corrections of barrel distortion and CA auto corrections.  I find in Photoshop, but a very limited choice of lenses (extremely popular EF Canon 16-35L is not yet an option) but not Camera Raw.  It doesn't seem to be an option under the lens correction tab.  What Miss me?

  You received the Toshiba Recovery CD with your beautiful Sat A200.
  I would recommend setting the notebook back to factory and after the new OS installation check settings if the Toshiba vista registration tool is working properly.

  In other cases, you can visit Toshiba Europe site and register for your laptop on the Toshiba site!

  What you can do is to disable the registration tool Toshiba using the MSCONFIG.
  Choose the last tab called startup and uncheck the service that starts and loads the Toshiba registration tool at the beginning.
  Then, you must restart the device to update settings.

  Here's a weird one for you: the F1N organs begin to cost more than the EOS 1v bodies. Using the adapter that mates a FD lens to a digital cam body; is - someone put a FD on the EOS 1v? Would it still work? Or do I just much too much time on my hands? Thank you!

  Adaptation of FD to a 1V EOS lenses has the same exact problems as adapt a FD lens to any camera digital EOS.

  The lens mount to the sensor/film on an EOS camera distance is less [more] than a FD camera. This means that any kind of simple adapter won't work. The adapter needs an optical to correct element distance different, since most of the available adapters are cheaply made with poor optics, you're much better off having bought an EOS lens than a FD lens and an adapter.

  There are a few end higher FD lenses which are an exception, they can be converted to EOS Monte.

  At the same time recording tool was not possible and if you install Adobe Scriptlistener plugin Adobe will disable the recording of the tool its never an option.

  I use and record the actions all the time and was looking forward to the registration tool when Adobe announced it.  But I found what they delivered was very limited because of the restrictions. I don't like that Adobe disables the registration on my machine tool.

  The amount of data that gets reorganized also seems to vary between machines.  I found that Action recorded on a fast machine are not usable on a slow machine.  Recorder fast machine too much data.

  You use this action on the documents must also have the same size and resolution as the document that you have saved the action on. Quite a restriction.

• Grid toggle when you use vertical tools, LR 5.3

  For after the video tutorials online for LR5, pressing [CTRL] + [ALT] + O when you use the vertical tools in the part of Correction of the lens design tools will toggle the Overlay network and outside.  When the grid is displayed, the tutorials also show it would be a top/Center options toolbar that has calibration and transparency controls to customize its appearance.  This key combination doesn't seem to work for me in LR5.3.  Has it been modified, deleted, known, bug or I do something wrong?  (LR 5.3, Win 7, 32 - bit)

  I think you could talk about two different grids.

  There is the auto-grille that lights up when you access any slider in the manual lens correction tab - it is transient and not definable by the user.

  There is the magnifying glass which is consulted withi opinion collection grid > magnifying glass Overlay feature. So the key [CTRL] [ALT] [O] to work, you have to select a grid, Guides, or Image first to superimpose. Then, it works as expected. I suspect that if you turn on the grid by checking it in view > Loupe Overlay, it will work as expected.

  Laptop bought in February and has been recorded successfully for warranty with Toshiba etc. In the last ten days, I got error messages repeated that the Toshiba registration reminder has stopped working - windows error message is actually:

  I do not understand why this reminder exe will need to run at all (although there seems to be a file of configuration related dated 23 July 2009 .which implies the registration tool may THINK my laptop is out of warranty now?)

  You can disable the Toshiba registration tool by using msconfig. Just navigate to start > run > msconfig. Choose the last tab called startup and check the services listed. You should find a service that starts Toshiba registration Tool, tool after Windows starts. Just uncheck it and restart your device.

  Now the Toshiba record shouldn't t start. :)
