EPG not updated for Windows Media Center
I am a resident in the United Kingdom and am using Windows Media Center on a computer running XP. It works well, but the guide lists does not update beyond March 21, 2014 as the EPG contract expires March 22. Microsoft will renew the contract and I'll still be able to use Media Center when support for XP is completely over? I also note that my computer Windows 7 also shows the contract of the EPG as due to expire March 27, 2014.
Its fixed now... go in windows media center and download the latest guide ads...

My program guide lists refuse to update in Windows Media Center on Windows 7
Original title - Windows Media Center
Can someone tell me please how to open a bug with Microsoft for Windows Media Center? My program guide lists refuse to update and I know I'm not the only one with this problem.
Thank you.
My problem started on his return from holiday. During my absence, there was a storm and a loss of power. All my computers and the router stop. When I rebooted, Windows wanted to install updates. I believe that these updates began the problem where my TV Guide schedule was empty.
Efforts to download the latest guide ads has not solved the problem. This was the case even if WMC has indicated that the download was successful. Finally, I chose the TASKS menu/settings/TV/TV signal/Scan for multiple channels. I think scanning for more channels was the last choice. It could have been 'Intensity of the aerial for digital TV Signal'
Anyway, the WMC scanned for all available channels, I get through a digital TV antenna and the USB receiver. Once the process is complete, the calendar is also worked.
Go figure. I'm still working through other non - WMC created the Windows Update issues.
I hope this helps.

When you do the automatic updates of Windows Vista, I get the code below.
'A security update for Windows Media Format Runtime 11 for Windows Vista (KB968816)' = failure
- What should I do to fix this?
- And what does this update actually?
Thanks for any help provided.
scrubie,
If you go to programs and features, and then on the left side you should see a link for "Daily display installed." Which would then show the list of updates with the State which will show you if it failed or not.Hope that helps. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

Error: "Tuner not found" with Windows Media Center
Original title: someone at - there a solution to this problem of Tuner not found with Windows Media Center? I tried for several years to find an answer to this embarrassing problem without success.
I did just about everything, including a restoration of the complete system without success. It would be nice to be able to use my Windows Media Center to watch live TV and record programs I would like to see later.
There is a great thread towith people have reported this problem with this tuner.Unfortunately, it looks like the only solution people have found is to replace theTuner with another brand.I don't know if it's the hardware failure or something else, but looking at thiswire, if it was ME, I cut my losses and replace the tuner.BarbMVP - Windows/entertainment and connected homePlease mark as answer if that answers your question -

How to select the output device HDMI as audio playback for Windows Media Center device
Output audio media center units
Hello
I'm trying to set up my media center from windows to windows media center of output through a separate audio device audio device by default.
In this case, I have hdmi output that I want to be the output for windows media center and my realtek analog to be the default for all the rest.
So my overall question is how I make windows media center requires is not the default audio device.
Thank you
Andrew
Method 1 is useless. Does that change the audio device by default in the system, what the user seeks specifically not to do.
Method 2 has no effect at all on Media Center. The answer seems to be no, Media Center only works with the audio output device by default. -

Hello
What is the TV tuner and FM Radio tuner? Is it a software or a difficult, how to install them on the computer? I can buy from a retailer. How will I know which is for my pc.
Please help me to answer the question.
Respectfully,.
Solvemachine
Hello
Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community forums.
According to the description, you need to know more about the Tv tuner and tuner Radio (FM) for Windows Media Center.
To listen to the FM radio in Media Center, you will need a tuner FM connected to or installed on your computer and an antenna connected to the tuner to receive a signal. FM tuners are very similar to TV tuners in fact, many TV tuner cards have a built in FM tuner.

After the upgrade, only the specific movie channels in Media center play is more (Record) after approximately 6 seconds.
(Do not forget that there is a function of pause/forward who s equivalent to check-in for DRM)Get a message from copying prohibited.Looks like the upgrade of the processor messed up somehow DRM rights for this machine, to the point where no films previously saved are playable AND NO NEW FILMS can be registered and enrolled in some way a Canadian Film Channel. (Bell Expressvu - channels 300 + Movie Network)Delete the contents of the file DRM (archive first)c:/program data/microsoft/windows/drm.Restarted...Partial contents of the folder have been recreated...Problem remains. Can Watch all the channels, but those who are 'Movie channels' stop after about 6 to 10 seconds and display a Message of copying prohibited. The broadcaster has banned this content to be copied. You can only read this content on the same computer on which it was recorded.Note: I don't like on my OLD recorded movies... In fact already deleted... I just want to be able to watch the movie channels and save NEW ones...Well after 4 days of effort + a fix was finally discovered...
(1) exit Windows Media Center is running.(2) open a cmd prompt - run as administrator.
(3) run the following commands one at a time:
Code: net stop ehrecvr
CD %programdata%\Microsoft\PlayReady
del *.hds
rmdir /s Cache
CD %programdata%\Microsoft\ehome
del *.hds
rmdir /s Cache
net start ehrecvr(4) run Windows Media Center. Update of PlayReady through tasks, settings, TV, TV Signal, PlayReady update.
It was the only solution to Playready update succeed to in Windows Media Center.Playback worked immediately without any loss overall upward or configuration information... -
Can not download the update for Windows Media Player in order to play protected files
I am trying to download a digital copy of a movie. I am told:
You upgrade the Windows Media Player security components to play the files on your computer. Upgrade, please follow the instructions below:
- Step 1: Click here for the upgrade of security.
- Step 2: After the upgrade is complete, click on the button 'Next' below.
When I click on the link, it takes me to a page:

It says to click on the upgrade button, but the upgrade button is not clickable. How can I download this update so I can get my digital copy? He says I'm in compatibility mode for Windows Media Player for windows 95. I hope this helps. Thanks in advance for your help :)
