Eprint-compatible files

I've just set up my 6100 for eprint.  Is there a list of the types of files that eprint will convert to be compatible with my 6100?

I know that PDF and Word files work, but several others have tried do not.

Hi there, the following file types are supported by the ePrint service:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Excel *.
  • .PDF
  • txt.
  • HTML
  • .jpg
  • .gif
  • .PNG
  • . TIFF
  • .bmp

For reasons why your ePrint work may not be completed see this support document

Best.

Is there a way to disable the option 'Create PDF Compatible file' default in Illustrator CS4?

    Thank you.

HAVE nearby. Make a copy of the Preferences of Illustrator file (users/yourname/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS4 Settings / fr_FR / Adobe Illustrator Prefs), and open it in a Word Editor.

    Find the following

    {aifileformat}
    /cmykPostScript 0
    /documentPSLevel 3
    /clipboardPSLevel 3
    / PDFCompatibility 1
    /enableATEWriteRecovery 0
    /enableATEReadRecovery 0
    /enableContentRecovery 0

    Change the 1 to 0 /PDFCompatibility

    Save the file.

Drag the Adobe Illustrator Prefs existing out of the folder file and replace it with the modified file. Restart IT.

  • Paper size for eprint jpg files

I use a HP 7520.  When I epring a jpg type file, it will only show for the photo tray.  Is it possible to print to the main paper tray?  I don't see this option in the configuration of printer options.

What ePrint do you use? If you use the ePrint Mobile application, you can adjust application ePrint settings to send pictures to the tray paper. Open the application, select 'photos', select the photo you want to print. Click on print, then select the settings in the upper right of the window. Here you can select the paper size and adjust accordingly.

  • Option compatible file on

Hi can't seem to find out why my file (in the finder window) now says that long sentence instead of the illustrator icon or seizure.

    It now says:

Compatible with enabled this option is illustrator native format options dialog box that appears when you save an Adobe Illustrator file using Save as command.

I'm not supposed to use Save as command?

I mostly use Photoshop and occasionally brought to use Illustrator, but have never seen this problem before and don't know how to make it go away.

Should I create a new doc and copy/paste of this weird Illustrator file?

In this case or not file compatible pdf is enabled or disabled.

    Thank you-

Can you please clarify if you are wanting to set the icon of your Illustrator file, or to get an overview to show for example in the finder of mac for the column.

With compatible pdf in mode column finder you get.

With pdf compatible ONE for column finder you get.

Transform PDF compatible will make your files and records more more great. Most of us in this industry is to make money and do our work in the least time, atomic mass so more pros in this industry turn away form the default value of Illustrator and omit PDF and make for example a PDF to the place so you can see a preview and the road to the customer.

But you said you tried both. Normally compatible PDF is enabled, you should see the preview. Try to restart your computer to see if there is a cache problem show the old preview. Let us know if this happens all your files, or alone. If a single file, there may be a corruption of offending in the file element.

  • Export Illustrator file to PDF - 'Create PDF Compatible file' where is this option?

Where the Option 'Create a compatible PDF file' when export us an Illustrator file to PDF? Hernani thanks

    hernanif,

The option is only save you as or save a copy in the format I.

Its purpose is to create a file PDF file inside HAVE.

If you save as PDF, you have the additional option preserve Illustratot editing capabilities, which creates a file HAVE in the PDF file.

Whatever it is, you get a file in both formats, with some differences.

  • Browser HTML 5 Compatible file control

Someone at - he saw one a plugin or an example showing a file browser control compatible html 5 for APEX 4.x?  I know of a pay to use the plugin, but my office is wary about buying a 3rd party plugin.  I know there are plugins available jquery, but was looking to see if someone had already done most of the work.

Mainly, we seek to implement to limit the types of files are uploaded by users, so rather than tell them AFTER they download the file, we restrict file types they can download until they have a chance to download incorrect file types...

  • Cannot right click Windows 7 Explorer of files to generate the copy of the file names in a Notepad or Excel-compatible file. HELP REQUESTED!

I struggled for several hours to restore the service right click that I used to have XP to Windows 7.  I need to save lists of file names such as displayed in the file Explorer. Allowing you to right-click and save files in Notepad. This option has been removed in Windows 7 and anything put in place to restore it.

I have lists of items in the inventory and need to copy and paste the image corresponding to a transfer sheet to allow the server names to match images in article SKU.  The file names are long and typing is a complete waste of time.

I used to be able to find them in the Windows Explorer, right-click on the directory and generate a txt file that I could open in Notepad or Excel.  -Easy.  Now right-click only allows an export in an uneditable image in ONE NOTE. This is useless for me. I can't do anything with an image file - I need the editable data.

Is there a solution?  I need only the file name and extension, not the full path, in a text or spreadsheet document propagation.

I had used the Microsoft solution to install their dose without knowing the final format was a NOTE image file format and not a simple txt file. I try now too write the batch file:

    %windir%\Printdir.bat

or edit it in order to keep the file in Notepad and do not make the final conversion into a single Note.

The problem is that the fix from Microsoft, designed to fix this problem, has placed the conversion file in the root directory and it cannot be overwritten.  I refused the possibility to delete, edit or write the file due to the requirements of administrative privilege mandated by the security of Windows 7 too much.

So if anyone has a solution to every problem - that would help - I am very tired and frustrated and not happy with Microsoft.  Their zealous concern with security made their unnecessary programs for me and have further discouraged me to convert to the windows 10. frustrations and nightmares are waiting for me there I can't imagine.  What I really want to do at this point is to go back to XP.

He ate five hours of my day. I don't have the time to fight like that. I am trying to be productive, but all I got are monumental technical walls and roadblocks - often designed into the system. Frustrating doesn't begin to describe it.

Found a solution on a Web site:

    http://www.watchingthenet.com/how-to-print-a-directory-tree-from-Windows-Explorer.html

They said it was for VISTA, but worked for me under Windows 7. You will need to use Notepad to the command prompt and select run as administrator to save the file in the root directory.

    Thanks for the help.

    Cheers.

  • Illustrator CC cross platform compatible files? (Surface Pro 4 mac)

I'm very tempted to get a Surface 4 Pro for use with Illustrator CC, but would only do it if I can open and work on the same files on the Tablet and on my Mac. Anyone know if it works?

    problems, as you might expect:

-fonts, if they are not of OTF

-link images if they do not reside in the same folder as the file HAVE

-There are scripts that can not work in one of the two systems.

    Everything else should work.

    I'm tempted as well.

  • I've set up an image processor in Photoshop and is to ignore some jpg files - can I batch convert convert these files to make them compatible?

I have a number of jpg files in a folder that I am running a custom action on.

It works very well for some files, but it completely ignores the others. Even if some of the ignored files are JPG files, I think they could be another type of jpg file, and that's why Adobe is ignorant.

Is it possible for me to batch convert all these files, be it through Photoshop or another program, in a PS compatible files so that the image processor will treat?

    Thank you!

The preference file may be corrupted, try to reset as mentioned above.

Except that the only thing comes to mind is he thinks the file is a duplicate one ignores. But that's just a guess.

  • Save files HAVE with file create PDF Compatible lit

I have a large part of the files recorded without PDF compatibility turned on and they preview correctly in my dam system. I tried to create a save action slot, but it does not work. Does anyone know of a script that will do a save as with PDF compatibility checked on and replace the existing file?

jscottCMD wrote: script that will do a save as with PDF compatibility checked on and replace the existing file?

    What you want is "pdfCompatible":

Scripting JavaScript PDF reference (around pages 80 to 85 dependent on the version #)

    IllustratorSaveOptions

    Properties of IllustratorSaveOptions

pdfCompatible boolean If true, the file is saved as a PDF compatible file. Default: true

You can find different scripts to do whatever you want around the forum, here are a few examples:
