  • Cannot print from Vista laptop after going DSL ATT Uverse. __

Have a XP PC with a Canon Pixma 310 connected via USB.  Before Uverse, I was able to print from my Vista laptop that is used wireless.  I checked to make sure that the printer is shared on all parameters. When I try to print from laptop, I get a window indicating the printer is not enabled.   I spoke with Cannon and Uverse mean that it is a Vista setting.  not need to change anything, other than the DSL, uverse.

You use a different wireless router now that yopu use Uverse?  Is the printer connected to a PC in your local network, or is it wireless itself?  Open your printers folder and right click on the print queue.  Click on properties.  Select the Ports tab.  Scroll down to the port that you use for the queue.  What is an IP address?  If so, is this the right place?  If you have changed wireless routers, the local address may be different from what it was with the old router. • Why do my printer stop printing from my ipad?

I was able to print from the Ipad there on my Officeject HP 6500 has more printer.  I usually print using a program on my Ipad called IAnnotate PDF.  I had to stop a print job and I turned the printer off and on again once again because I did not understand how to cancel the print job from the Ipad.  Even if the symbol (symbol lite blue) for the wireless is on I can't have a work print from my Ipad to the printer.  Can you help me with this problem.

Information on my printer is Nr CN5588A, Option 1 H3, FPU no: {removed privacy} or other numbers that appear on the back of the printer-MAC {removed privacy}.  Thank you

    Hello nyiasgg,

You can have a document stuck in the print cue of your iPad.  Press twice on the button on the front of your iPad, this should bring up a submenu that displays all the programs running on your iPad.  Find your print queue and cancel documents in queue.  You will need to cancel one at a time and you will want to have the printer off while you do this, as when the print job that blocks the rest is cancelled, all will start printing.  Once that all print jobs are cancelled, turn off the iPad all the way.  Do not only mode 'sleep', make sure that the iPad is turned off completely.  If you must remove the battery to make sure.  Re-turn on the iPad and the printer and try to print.

If this does not work, make sure that the print job is canceled.  Turn off your router, iPad and your printer.  Turn on the router, but make sure that the stay of the iPad and the printer off.  Wait for the router to stabilize, 1-2 minutes at the most.  Re-turn on the iPad and the printer and try to print.

If none of those working, let me know.

  • My HP Office Jet 6700 Premium has suddenly stopped printing from my iPad

I have a new HP Office Jet 6700 Premium

It worked very well, wireless printing from my iPad.

iPad displays a window that recognizes the printer, but it does not print.

    There is no error message.

The steps below a usually resolve the problem you are experiencing:

    1. turn off the printer.

    2. completely turn off iOS devices (hold sleep and home buttons simultaneously until a message appears prompting you to "Slide to power off". Drag on this bar, and it should completely turned off).

    3. turn the printer on.

    4. switch on the devices iOS back.

    5 try printing again.

These steps usually fix the problem. If they don't, try these additional steps:

    6. power cycle your router (usually done by unplugging the power cord from the router, wait 20 seconds and in him plugging back in).

    7. ensure that iOS devices and the printer are connected to the same network, and then try to print.

  • Photosmart B8550 stopped printing from Win 7 Home Premium

I have a Photosmart B8550 for several years. It allows to print from my installation of Win 7 Home Premium, but not now. I tried several fixes, UN-installations driver and re-facilities, including what is described in a thread that has begun on this forum on 15/07/13. The cumulative result is that I can print beautiful pages of diagnostics software HP Solution Center, but nothing of any windows-based application, or a test page from the printer properties page in Control Panel. When I click the "Printing Test Page" button on the printer properties page, I see the page Flash briefly in the series B8500 printer queue window and disappear - but no page is printed. Is there a fix I've not seen? Is what it means the printer has fried? Is there a last attempt, I can do before (probably literally) grabs it by the window?

    Thank you.

My Windows 7 is 64-bit, I was installing the latest full driver from the Web site package and I have a USB connection. Using Windows update has failed. In the meantime, I found that printing from a USB key works fine.

  • Printing from Vista as negative?

A friend of mine with Vista has a printing problem, its PC print photos as negative, what happens when printing my pictures or Photoshop, but they print correctly by using the printer software?

I wonder if this is a setting in the color management that could be the problem?
If anyone has had this problem I would like to know how you fixed, or can anyone offer advice on how to fix this?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi Waseemulla and sirot

As promised I'm report how I arrived at this problem.

I am happy to report that I got the problem fixed - but not by one of the methods above.

Reminder, the problem was with printing photos from Windows or Photoshop - they have somehow transformed in negative (monochrome not - just like watching a negative color film before the digital age). Strangely, everything printed fine - color web pages, color of text in documents, etc. were all OK.

Step by step, that's what I did:

I ruled out a problem with the printer, as this worked fine using the Canon software.

There was that a graphics card from nVidia in the PC with it associated software, there was an update to the driver, what was the next step.

After a reboot, the problem was exactly the same, I could see the preview before printing, so doesn't need not keep waste of ink and paper.

I then looked at the color management (in Control Panel) and noticed he didn't profile associated with the parser - bought the monitor with the PC and the colors went well, including looking at the pictures in their records. I decided that there should be a profile and looked through all installed profiles and not knowing which was the right chose the standard sRGB profile because I knew it would be close enough.

Bingo! that fixed it. Tried to print a photo and it looked very good, pretty much exactly as it appeared on the screen so the color match is good.

Next time that I'm home, I can look on the monitor manufacturer's web site to get the appropriate profile and put it on, but it may not be necessary because I think that the colors went well - I will keep control with my friend if other photos, it prints look the same as they do on the screen.

I hope this information is useful to others.

Thanks again for your help people, you can't have provided the answer, but you got me started in the right direction.

  • Printing from Vista 64 bit

I have an old but superb HP Deskjet 720C printer, it worked fine in XP via a parallel to USB adapter cable but, even if it's on the list of compatibility of Vista it won't work for Vista 64-bit!

When I try to print, the printer turns on, gets as much as to load paper then it's there with a flashing light.  I turned off the printer, then he feeds a sheet of paper blank and closed its doors?

I deleted the printer, plugged re, Vista has found and loaded the driver but the printer will not work.  Tried the HP diagnostic prog that tells me that there is no printer and no driver, but Vista tells me that the HP 720 C is the default printer and is ready to print. Also, it shows a document in the queue, and then indicates an error printing.

HP say there is no new drivers and Vista already has the driver more appropriate.

My system is an i7 920 cpu, 6 GB of RAM with Vista 64 bit (SP2 now) Although it wouldn't work on SP1.

Question 1.  It is possible to work?

Question 2.  If this is not the case, what inkjet is guaranteed to work with V64, as well as WIn 7 when it comes out?

    Can anyone help?

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you can not print. I would like to help.

So that I can help you better, I have a few questions.

What is the printer connected to the computer via a wireless network or via a USB cable?

Did you run the HP print and Scan Doctor? (If not, give him a race)

You receive a specific error message?
