  The title of your son is in contradiction with what you are trying to accomplish. It is not a default path to transmit the vCenter real server logs to syslog server external without writing some logic/scripts to essentially scrap logs and passes them to the wide. If you use the new vCenter Linux Appliance (vSphere 5), you can do it too but not on a Windows system, at least out of the box which is supported. It can be that you had to buy a part 3 for Windows application see if it can extract the application logs.

  You could:

  1. make a capture of port syslog traffic directed to the syslog server.

  2 Terminal monitor - deny traffic showed clearly when I had not set up the firewall to forward the traffic. (Note: attention on busy firewall)

  3 netstat - a on the syslog server

  4. If you allow, you should be able to portscan the server on port of syslog by your firewall.

  5. is your syslog capture created file? It is not created if the service never started.

  6 - is the service running in the system context or perhaps another account that doesn't have the correct rights?

  The answers seem to indicate a service not started that seemed likely. What you describe happened to me when I had the demon also version; I went to service version and the problem has been resolved (once I opened the port.)

  I love the kiwi syslog. I use with Snare and BacklogIIS and receive alerts within 60 seconds to my mailbox when something bad happens. It always fools of my end users out when I call them with the problem solved when they seek always my number report the problem.

  I'm no expert, RedHat, but if it works the same as the Unix standard (that I tink, it does), you must change your file/etc/syslog.conf and direct specific syslog events in a specific file.

  Syslog events from a default router are sent using the local7 facility, so if you do something like:

  ADM local7.*

  (Note there is a TAB between the installation type and directory in this file) then your syslogs must be logged to this file. You need to stop/start the syslog server on the machine after making the change.

• Ipv6 access list does not apply autonomous Aironet 3602I-E

  As you can see in the attached config I configured two SSID (2G & 5 G) for a third (2G only) SSID and PEAP WPA2-Ent on the vlan 2 for 'poor team access as guest '.

  Basically I forced the Dot11Radio0.2 interface in the Group of deck 1 to get all three SSIDS on vlan 1 (since I want just a quick way and dirty to allow its customers access to the internet, without having to configure a vlan separate everywhere).

  The guest SSID (XX COMMENTS) allows tkip in addition to BSE and uses a PSK rather than PEAP. Access lists configured on Dot11Radio0.2 IPv4 allows clients connected to this SSID get an IP by DHCP, use the DNS servers on the local network and access the internet. All other traffic for the local network is blocked by access lists guest_ingress and guest_egress.

  This all works very well, ipv4 is blocked for guests invited as expected. However, ipv6 is something different. For some reason, the ipv6 access list is completely ignored.

  Because I don't need ipv6 for guest access, I thought that I have completely block and do with it. As you can see I have this set:

  interface Dot11Radio0.2
  guest_ingress6 filter IPv6 traffic in
  guest_egress6 filter IPv6 traffic on

  and these ipv6 access lists have a rule of "refuse a whole" only. Yet, the XX COMMENTS SSID connected client gets an ipv6 address of the server on the LAN DHCP6 and has full connectivity. For ipv4, that I had to explicitly allow DHCP packets to the client not even get an IP, so the ipv6 access lists are not clearly applied.

  No matter if I move the access interface Dot11Radio0 instead lists, they don't do anything. I thought that maybe I should add a "enable ipv6" on the Dot11Radio0.2 interface (even if ipv6 traffic was very good, even where it shouldn't), but when I set "enable ipv6" Dot11Radio0 or Dot11Radio0.2 the radio goes into a sort of infinite loop of reset:

  In addition, when creating a list like this ipv6 access:

  guest_egress6 IPv6 access list
  refuse an entire ipv6

  The other is automatically created:

  IPv6-guest_egress6 role-based access list
  refuse an entire ipv6

  A deletion also removes the other.

  What is happening with these ipv6 ACLs, why they are not blocking all traffic? Why do I get an acl "role-based" too? Is associated it with?

  Is there a another way to kill just any ipv6 on the SSID of COMMENTS XX traffic while leaving alone on others? That's all I need at this stage. If the ipv6 ACL do not work, perhaps this can be done (ab) using a service-policy or policy routing? I'm ready to creative solutions :)

  PS. I know this is not the recommended method to configure a guest SSID, but it should still work IMO.

  You have encountered a bug I discovered a few months ago (CSCva17063), in your case, the workaround is to apply the ACL on the physical rather than the void interface interface (because you want to completely block IPv6 in any case). I write (more) my conclusions regarding the traffic that refusal on autonomous APs in a blogpost, might be interesting for you to read as well.

  Remember that the access point used as a bridge between the wired infrastructure and wireless, not as a router. There's some IOS routing of commands (like the "enable IPv6" command you pointed out) , but these are not the characteristics that should be used or need to be enabled on an access point.

  Because the networks internal and customer spend somewhere else, I would perform filtering on this device instead. Also sub gi0.2 interface is missing from your configuration, so I do not think that access as a guest is currently working at all?

  I tried this. The tunnel is up, but I get the message from routing could not locate the next hop for the NP (ASA 5505 ip) udp inside: (ip of the syslog server).

  I would suggest that you configure inside interface as the interface for management access. Include IP and IP address NAT syslog server interface inside 0 ACL and ACL crypto.

  You can order the "access management" when you want to run an ASA inside of interface through the VPN 7.2 below command reference:

  We start with deployment cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) in our network. We have allocated 250 GB of space for the node (Admin + monitor) ISE.

  I want to know if we can send tracking of nodes of external syslog server logs after a defined time interval.

  For example, newspapers that are more than 10 days are for external syslog server. So basically our node monitoring will have the marbles which are the Max 9 days. Is this possible? Could you tell me some doc that explains the configuration of the same thing?

  No this is not possible via syslog. What you need is database purge, so that the monitoring database is purged after a determined time interval. Here's a guide that will help shed some light on this:

  I want that my TMS pointing to the syslog server server, how to proceed?

  I just checked the MSDS and even our TMS admin guides.  None of them mentions the possibility of using a syslog server, so it seems that this is not possible, unless there is another way to do that is not documented or within the TMS web interface.

  We also have run utility upgrade schema hfm and then save it with shared services.

  but we can see the error in hfm as system messages

  Server: HIBTV-HYP1T with ID 0 has been removed from the list.

  It seems that HsvDatasource hfm application does not start even in the Task Manager

  That's how oracle has solved this problem.

  We had rules of /HFM of calc scripts in calculation for this HFM application manager.

  If oracle has asked us to remove references by running as a result of the SQL on the schema from table binaryfiles HFM hfm

  delete ABC_binaryfiles where label like '% CalcRules % ';

  After execution of this statement, we could open our HFM application successfully without any problem!

  I'll change our syslog server port. I can accomplish this with the following:

  After that I ran this I wanted to doublecheck that everything has been done. When I run the following, I get only the syslog server port, but not the name of the host. How can I get that it displays the name of the host as well? maybe even export to CSV?

  So my question is, what products do you use for syslogging? A free one is better but not necessary.

  Select the host, and then go to Configuration > Softare > advanced settings.  Navigate to the bottom of the list in syslog and open.  The change takes effect immediately.

• Since the installation of 32.0, my contact list is not in alphabetical order. Seems to be dated, then alpha by name. Why?

  Running Version 32.0. As it has been installed, my Contact list is not displayed in alphabetical order. Instead the contact appear to be displayed in activity date and/or time, and then by order of name. Example, I got a list of contacts 25 in sequence pell-mell, when I changed a piece of dat and found that the contact has changed is now at the top of the list! I changed a contact who should appear above this on and also, he went to the top of the list. In this way, I got the entire list in order. I then saw a mistake on one and corrected these contact data. This time went to the top of the list!

  If I can provide any other information, please let me know.

  In Thunderbird Windows updates are automatic by default. In order to avoid similar situations in the future, you could change that and decide to have a more cautious approach to updates.

  Before trying what anyone, make a backup of your Thunderbird profile.
