• Anyone having problems with wifi? Low connection?

  Recently bought a new Sony Vaio Fit 8 gb laptop for College. The love of my laptop inside and outside except directly from the box of my wifi was very fragile.

  It is difficult to diagnose wireless reception with a forum like this.

  • (Physically) are how far you to the router when you lose the ability to connect?
  • Your computer is a desktop/tower with the wifi antenna between the wall and the back of the computer?
  • Are there other electronic devices near you (microwave ovens, babyphones, wireless phones) when you lose the wireless connection?
  • When you lose the wireless connection, you download large files (for example, by using bit torrent), play a game online, or only the connection just drag at apparently random times?
  • Is there a lot of other users connected to the wireless router while you are connected?  If so, do one of these other users generally transfer large files (for example, using the bit torrent) or use their computer for online games?

  Make sure that the wireless adapter on your computer has the latest version of the driver.  For laptops, see the website of the manufacturer of the system; for desktop computers, go to the website of the manufacturer of the adapter.

  You can determine the make and model of your wireless adapter in Device Manager (type device manager in the start search box, and click the link that results).  Look at the section "network adapters."

• Two issues of Vista on my Equium A100-027

  My HARD drive crashed, so I bought a new 1 and installed with Vista
  Thing is that Vista will not accept the key that is located on the underside of my Equium A100 - 027 (PSAAQE).

  Another thing is, I can't seem to get my memory card reader to work again.
  I downloaded all the drivers I could find on this site and install.
  However, the player still does not.

  OK, I managed to get the SD card reader works.
  The vista issue just now.
  Perhaps, I installed the correct version of Vista.

• Equium A100-027: Audible 'slip' in his o/p when the SRS is enabled

  My Equium A100 - 027 (PSAAQ) claims that the audio device is properly installed and works OK, but I can't get any sound from the speakers.

  I tried the latest sound card drivers from this site (and live RealTek) but without success.
  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  The laptop uses a Realtek ALC861 audio chip.
  You need to install the realtek High Definition Audio Codecs on the site!

  The old driver should be removed first. Remove the sound from the Device Manager, and then after reboot again to install the new driver High Definition Audio Codecs!

  I put t think it is a hardware problem and therefore, you should check your access point and the configuration of the WLan card.
  Did you use a WLan encryption, Mac address filtering?
  If so, disable encryption on the WLan router and try to connect to the network without additional security settings.

  If it will work and you can successfully connect to the WLan and then the problem was caused by incorrect security settings.

  I bought an equium A100-027 and, because of my work, I want to use a personal OS XP - Pro, I bought the retailer 2006 Microsoft.
  The problem is that XP installs successfully, but I can't find the drivers on the Toshiba Download Page.
  The laptop TYPE is witch PSAAQE is not listed. I tried to use the drivers provided by other series A100 PSAAxxx but XP does not accept. I managed only with the Intel graphics driver... How can I do?
  I sent a mail to support Toshiba in France and they redirect me to the download page of drivers even DO NOT contain any driver for my laptop... (it does not appear there).
  It is mandatory for me to use XP - Pro, because we use it for industrial automation, so I can't use Vista! seriously, I bought a PC that do not work on XP?

  You must run these common tests;
  -update the WLan driver
  -check if the WLan card is activated on this laptop. You must activate the WLan switch on the side of the laptop (LED should be on) and use the FN + F8 buttons to choose the WLan card.
  -Check the standard WLan (802. 11 A B G) local area network and router WLan card should support the same! WLan card settings can be changed in the Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab

  Trying to find drivers for Equium A100 - 02L (PSAAQE-00P00KAV) on behalf of a friend.
  To be honest, who does not much chance of finding any where in or on websites of Toshiba!

  I have an Equium A100-027 aged from 4 months which worked flawlessly until last night. My wife was using it when it ran out of power and we do charge again. The box on the cable becomes hot butno power seems to go to the computer laptop itself. Any ideas please?

  I was wondering if anyone here can tell me what is the problem with my laptop. That's all new Toshiba Equium A100-027. Quite often, my screen will turn black for just a second, and then it will return to normal again.
