Equium A200 - not lighter in the EQUIUM label

I applied Windows Vista SP1 Italian in my Equium A200 (PSAE8E) and updated the latest version of the bios to 2.20.
Everything works great and now under the words blu EQUIUM light is off.
I'm happy not to lose any more power for lighting the EQUIUM words, but I wonder where there is a control for this.

This LED can be enabled/disabled in the BIOS. Please, enter the BIOS settings, go into the advanced settings and check the last option. I don't remember the exact name for it, but you will find it here.

    Hello

This may be a trial outcome disply to connect an external monitor to your laptop and see if you get display it.

You can connect to an external monitor via VGA or HDMI connection.  The usual process to transfer the video output to an external source is to press and hold the fn key and press f4.  Use the arrow keys to select "Projector" only and press ENTER.

  • Screen does not light after the start, but after standby on Satellite M100

    Hello
I have some experience with computers and laptops, but this problem exhausted all of my knowledge.
My girlfriend has a Toshiba Satellite M100, PSMA1E. He currently works on Windows XP, SP3.
The laptop has always had problems closing/stand bye. He would stand bye and the screen would not. She would usually be manually turn off (holding the power button) and restart.

Same thing happened last week, but with me. I turned off the power button but when I turned it on the screen was completely black. After a few attempts, I realized that everything worked; I could hear the usual audio files and XP Boot, but there was no way I could get the job of the screen.

The strangest thing is that the CMOS/BIOS, one with the Toshiba logo settings screen, also does not appear. If it's an OS problem, I thought that I would be able to access the BIOS at least, but it does not work. FN + F5 does not work.

Then, strange yet something happened. I was turning it on and off with keyboard shortcuts and I realized that if I put on stand bye using shortcuts and then go back on the screen turns on perfectly well (there is a cause of adjustment resolution icons are irrelevant, but it works perfectly fine).

From that on I tried everything I know. Update the BIOS, all Windows XP updates, all Toshiba QuickFix, cleaning the registry with different tools, uninstall and reinstall the video driver (ATI Radeon X 1400) utility, shortcuts keyboard, power saver, tools hardware Toshiba, looking to start up programs, services, everything I could possibly think off.

What intrigues me is that the Toshiba start screen will not be displayed. I can't access the BIOS, but I tried to restore the standard values of the BIOS with Toshiba hardware tools. It did not work. I don't even know if reinstalling XP will work because whenever I turn it on it is all black and I have to make the stand bye / Tower on Tower.

When I have it plugged into an external monitor, I could see all starting the process (initial screen of the BIOS and Windows). I then tried to access the video driver display configuration but it would show only the external monitor. It would only detect the laptop screen after a stand bye / turn back on, and then it worked perfectly: the screen two screens simultaneously, extended, everything. Ah, changing BIOS selection automatic the LCD + external monitor does not work.

I am really puzzled here and I can't understand it. I really don't think it's a hardware problem, because the screen works 100% after the stand bye. I guess that XP is do something during the closing down that completely 'stops' my screen, even after starting, and then I can only turn it on with the thing stand bye.

Any help would be really appreciated!

    Best,

    Hi guys

I had a similar problem on a series of Satellite A200 and I could solve works to update the BIOS and update the graphics driver.
In addition, you must make sure that all available MS fixes and patches have been installed.

Unfortunately, but that's all I can suggest. If the problem persists and you would not be able to solve update components then an ASP needs to check.

    Good luck

The current disconnect and re - connect and then it works properly. Don't you think that it may be by the software, which should have put updated?

  • My satellite phone battery does not light and the battery won't charge (rest on 2%)

Basically, my laptop is 3 months old and I don't know why it's acting weird. First of all, when I bought the laptop in June 06... the first week the laptop has no power in battery mode. So I stopped using the battery mode and still had to use my power adapter to power my laptop.

Now 4 weeks later, I removed the battery to the rear and put again. Guess what the battery started working. Now 2 months later the same problem occurs, only that this time after removing the battery to it still turn on and the battery says 2% and also fails to load.
So I m stuck with my son again... can anyone help?

    Hello

In my opinion the best solution is to confront your local dealer with this problem. If I were you I wouldn't waste time. Unit is fairly new, warranty still valid and unit should operate.

Perhaps is there some problem with electronic supply power.

  • HP Envy laptop monitor does not light

Just bought this HP Envy with Windows 8 just over a month ago.

Today, after the installation of an HP recommended that Windows Update the monitor does not light.  The power led is on the internet led is activated and the CAP turns on if you press.  Still no monitor.

Bought it at best buy and it's a drive of 1 1/2 at this store if I have to take it to Geek Squad

If you have windows 8.1 on it then it looks like the update of kb2903939 killed. I fight with this problem since Christmas.

Power cycle the cell several times without leaving start completely. It should bring up a screen of recovery. If you can find the path to start safe mode, you can uninstall kb2903939 and then restart. That fixed my problem.

Otherwise, it should be a call to HP or Microsoft support.

  • Equium A200; How to order the recovery CD

When I buy my Equium A200 computer in October/November of this year (2007), I was surprised to not find DVD/CD recovery with the package.
I contacted the store where I bought the computer from and they said they would be arange to be sent to me.

They say now that the CD is not their problem.
What the problem is then it. Contact the Toshiba ASP?

For me it s very strange that the Toshiba Recovery CD was not shipped with the laptop.
Usually the recovery CD should always be supplied with the device.

Anyway, the ASP (authorized service provider) may sell the right recovery CD/DVDs. Contact the guys in your country and ask for the CD compatible and right.

    Good luck

  • Equium A200 - how to get the operating system?

Hi, my son has just been given an A200 and we put in place a new disk hard in, but we do not have the recovery disks. Anyone know how I could get my hands on copies or how to download the operating system and then is just a matter of inserting the disc?

    Tony

    Hey Buddy,

First of all I must say that it of not possible to download the operating system. It s just preinstalled on your laptop and you can find it on Toshiba Recovery disk as well.

If you don t have a recovery disc, you can order one from Toshiba but I m not 100% sure if it of possible old Equium A200. Just check the online store:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

If you can t order it, ask a service provider authorized in your country. Maybe they have such a disc and can give you.

  • Equium A200-1V0 - recovery on the new HARD drive problem

    Hello

Hoping someone can help, I just mounted a new Toshiba 1 TB hard drive for my Equium A200-1V0, used the Vista came with the computer recovery disk, everything seems to be installed ok, but when you try to start, I get a message saying that Windows Vista is unable to run on this hardware. Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Thank you

There must be a compatibility problem. Usually the hard drives up to 500 GB are not problematic for the old machines.
If possible, try to install the version of the OS. When you can get Win7 32 bit would be great. Win7 32-bit is supported for your machine and in my view, it will work perfectly.

  • -What is the image of the Equium A200-1V0 correct on the website?

As noted above, is the image of the Equium A200-1V0 correct on the website?

    http://UK.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/JSP/productPage.do?service=UK&PRODUCT_ID=138201

When you enlarge the image, it is said by Satellite on the front of the laptop (as for Satellite laptops).

Can I be assured that the laptop will look exactly like this (with or without the 'Satellite' on the front), I like the design and do not want to end up with something different.

Help is much appreciated, thank you!

If you answer with you email address I can take some pictures high resolution of mine and you send to compare :)

    Hello

Did you put this phone in the standby or hibernation mode?

Read this description, it seems that the laptop has been in one of these modes and cannot wake up.
Try to remove the battery from the laptop and unplug the power adapter.
Several waiting time (~ 20 min) and reconnect the battery and the AC adapter.
Then try again to put the laptop.

If she will not be able to boot up the laptop I presume the ESF on the dysfunctions of the motherboard.
In this case the contact of technicians would be desirable.
