Equium A300D his problem on Vista

Hi, I'm currently having problems with my Toshiba laptop.

I am running Windows Vista (32 bit). The problem occurred first after a windows update, I can't remember what exactly I did but after searching the net for solutions I quickly found many discussions on the same issue. I followed the instructions for the "quick fixs' that people said all over the forums. After many attempts with play with regedit and these programs and hours of searching on the net, I decided to try here. After messing around with sound dependencies I get now a problem of differernt.

When I move my mouse pointer on the icon of the sound in the bottem right screen, it says:

Volume: 0
Speakers
Conexant high definition Smartaudio221

When I try more the volume by clicking on the icon and clicking noise I get 3 tabs:
Reading, record & sons.

Under playback, I get 3 sound devices:
Speakers (Conexant High Definition Smartaudio 221) - work * a green tick next to her
Interface SPDIF (Conexant high definition Smartaudio 221)-work
Digital output device (Audio device high definition)-work

I don't know I installed it properly but I still have the same problem: when I go in my speakers properties and click the levels tab, nothing comes, it's just white.

I believe that the Windows updates may be responsible for this sound material. Because of this I have disabled the automatic updates. Before you install updates I use option that updates available View to see what is stated exactly. I removed all the checkmarks in front of optional updates. Maybe you should do the same and avoid installing some updates that may have a negative influence on good work sound, mouse, or other hardware components.

If you are sure this is because of the update from Microsoft the first step, you can try is to roll back the OS to an earlier time until you have installed all updates.
Did you use the TEST option for the speakers? Any result?

This is a really silly situation. At the end you must install new OS by using recovery image. :(

    I can't initialize problem. Powers of phone on ok, with a few flashes of HARD drive as it tries to start. But no sounds other than the kick, fans have tried all the usual things like FN/F8 to enter safe mode, also cold start battery and network opens. Power button down for an all black screen minute etc etc, but still no screen or emits a signal. I suspect a power supply problem and have tried with different loader but no effect. Laptop is a 4 year old Toshiba Equium A300D - 13 X everything worked fine but I recently renewed keyboard, screen bezel, Mo media Ribbon, power/Ribbon button, Mo.

    I thought I might have left some cable detached so all reopened and checked, but everything is correctly fixed I think.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It is not easy to be objective with this problem. On one side you have disassembled your laptop on your own and we don t know if everything was done correctly. I m also not technician and each laptop disassembly has been a success.

    I put t really know what to say. Try to talk with someone who can help you with this and check if everything is OK. Small error as causing electrical circuit can damage the electrical components of the motherboard. Try to check the display cable connection.

    Have you tried to connect the laptop to the TV and check if all come to this?

    Please, it is a problem that I seem to not understand. I used my laptop Equium A300d - 16 c with no problems for over a year until last night. I was installing a software (nokia PC suite) that you are prompted to restart the computer. the closure was normal and so he could restart, was a problem. It displays nothing but a screen empty.     I really wonder you already deleted Vista, Windows XP Home Edition installed without address information on support for Windows XP Home Edition. I also hope that you created the recovery DVDs until you have deleted Vista.

    Back to your problem. Support for Windows XP Home edition for your laptop model can be a bit more problematic. I have laptop AMD too and my phone is not supported WXP. I think that there is not much difference between hardware platforms for Equium, Satellite A300D and P300D.

    Someone help with this one?

    My Equium A300d froze in the Bios boot screen. Finally, I have replaced the ram and hard drive but still the same problem. By trial and error I discovered that the problem was the dvd drive... Remove the system and it loads well, put in place in and from the gel to the bios!

    I replaced the dvd drive wiith a new compatible drive but same result so assume the real hardware is not the problem then can only assume a motherboard problem?

    Has anyone encountered this scenario? Thanks for the research.

    My girlfriend has an Equium A300D - 16 c which had some problems lately.

    This means that the internal display module isn't OK. It probably needs to be replaced.
    But this does not explain the problems while turning on the laptop.
